Wednesday, August 29

*5:01pm-Brownwood Police responded to a residence on Azalea Drive regarding the burglary of a habitation.  According to the report, the burglary occurred between the hours of 11:30am and 4:30pm when someone entered the unlocked residence of the elderly complainant.  A television and laptop computer, valued at $1200.00, were taken from the home, the report states.  A potential suspect has been named and the incident is under investigation.

Monday, September 3

*1:19pm-Brownwood Police met a complainant at the law enforcement center regarding harassment.  According to the report, the complainant stated that a male suspect sent approximately 90 harassing text messages to her cell phone.  The complainant stated that the suspect is the step father to her boyfriend’s children and that she does wish to prosecute.

*2:13pm-Brownwood Police were dispatched to the 500 block of E. Commerce regarding a female who was using an outside water hose to take a shower.  According to the report, at the manager of the restaurant’s request, a criminal trespass warning was issued to the female.

*3:15pm-Brownwood Police met with a complainant at the law enforcement center regarding an assault which had already occurred.  The male complainant stated that he had been celebrating his birthday at Smitty’s when another male hit him in the back of the head and then his face, causing his lip to bleed, the report states.  The subject was escorted from the property and the complainant wishes to pursue criminal charges against the suspect, according to the report.

Tuesday, September 4

*9:46am-Brownwood Police were dispatched to the 1600 block of 2nd Street regarding a hit and run.  According to the report, a vehicle parked at the residence was damaged by an unknown person overnight.

*4:33pm-Brownwood Police were called to the 1600 block of Belle Plain regarding terroristic threat.  According to the report, the complainant’s ex-boyfriend threatened her and her ex-husband via voicemail.

*5:20pm-Brownwood Police were dispatched to the 2600 block of 1st Street regarding a domestic disturbance.  According to the report, a male and female were arguing over child custody.  The male stated that the female, his ex-wife, arrived at the scene screaming and cursing at him, demanding the child and that she threatened him as well, the report states.  The female left the scene prior to officers’ arrival according to the report.

*10:26pm-Brownwood Police were called to a residence on 6th Street regarding the online solicitation of a minor.  According to the report, the complainant’s daughter had been speaking with a male subject on Facebook when the conversation became inappropriate.  After investigation, it was determined that solicitation of a minor had been committed by the male subject.

*11:07pm-Brownwood Police were dispatched to the 1800 block of 6th Street regarding an assault.  According to the report, the complainant’s daughter was assaulted by her boyfriend.  The boyfriend, identified as 20-year-old Adrian Castillo, was located and arrested for assault with injury family violence.

*A Brown County Sheriff’s deputy received a report of animal cruelty.  According to the report, the deputy investigated the incident and found that at a residence on CR 152, a large pit bull was tied to a carport support with no food or water.  The dog was found to be underfed, the report states.  The owners were not able to be contacted; however, the incident was documented.

*A Brown County Sheriff’s deputy was dispatched to a home on FM 3100 regarding the burglary of a habitation.  According to the report, the complainant had been out of town and returned to find four shotguns and rifles missing.  There was no sign of forced entry into the residence and no suspect information according to the report.

Wednesday, September 5

*3:56am-Brownwood Police were called to the 1500 block of Dublin Drive regarding the burglary of a habitation.  According to the report, the complainant stated that someone entered her home and took her prescription medication.  A suspect was named by the complainant.
