*3:54 AM – Brownwood Police were dispatched to the 500 block of Baker Street regarding criminal mischief. According to the report, it was discovered that glass in two separate buildings had been broken by what appeared to be either BBs or pellets. An investigation is underway, the report states.
*11:30 AM – Brown County Sheriff’s investigators observed a passenger in a vehicle near the intersection of Hendricks Street and Melwood in Brownwood that did not have on a seatbelt. A traffic stop was initiated. According to the report, the passenger was identified as 33-year-old Bridget King and the deputies were informed she had an active warrant for her arrest. One of the investigators searched King subsequent to her arrest and located a glass methamphetamine pipe in her pants pocket, the report states. The other investigator obtained consent to search the vehicle, and in King’s bags and purse, and they found a clear plastic baggie containing marijuana (2.6 grams), miscellaneous small packaging, several cut straws with white residue, multiple syringes, 5 different types of non controlled substance prescription pills, and 1 diazepam pill (a controlled substance), according to the deputy’s report. Preliminary testing of the substance in the straws was positive for methamphetamine. Prior to the stop, King and the driver had passed through the intersection of Beaver and W. Austin within 1000 ft. of Cecil Holeman Park and when stopped at Henderson and Melwood, they were within 1000 ft. of Wiggins Park. King was arrested and charged with 5 counts of possession of a dangerous drug, possession of marijuana less than 2 ounces in a drug free zone, 2 counts of possession of a controlled substance in a drug free zone and two warrants.*12:35 PM – Brownwood Police responded to the 1400 block of Austin Avenue regarding theft. According to the report, this call resulted in a male subject being issued a citation for theft after he consumed a food product inside the store and failed to pay for the consumed item.
*2:09 PM – Brownwood Police were dispatched to the 1500 block of Terrace Drive regarding theft. According to the report, a window unit air conditioner had been stolen from the residence. Upon an investigation, a possible suspect was named, the report states.
*2:11 PM – Brownwood Police responded to the 1500 block of Terrace Drive regarding the burglary of a habitation. During the investigation the responding officer was informed that two units at the complex had been burglarized, the report states.
*3:25 PM – Brownwood Police were called to the 2700 block of Elizabeth Drive regarding the burglary of a habitation. According to the report, the complainant advised medication had been stolen from his residence while he was away for a short period of time.
*3:31 PM – Brownwood Police were dispatched to the 500 block of E. Commerce regarding a stolen vehicle. According to the report, the complainant stated that their vehicle had been stolen from a north Brownwood motel parking lot. Officers attempted to locate the stolen vehicle but were unsuccessful.
*3:38 PM – Brownwood Police were called to the 2000 block of Avenue B regarding the theft of medication. According to the report, a suspect was identified.
*3:41 PM – Brownwood Police were dispatched to the 300 block of Bluffview Drive regarding the theft of medication. According to the report, there are no suspects at this time.
*5:03 PM – Brownwood Police were dispatched to the 1800 block of 7th Street regarding the violation of an emergency protective order.
*A Brown County Sheriff’s deputy received a report of the burglary of a habitation on County Road 615 in Early. According to the report, the complainant stated within the last 4 months, several items including a kitchen table and chairs, a wooden baker’s rack, a love seat, a tall wooden dresser and a 55-inch flat screen television were stolen from the property. Later the next day, the complainant returned to the law enforcement center to report that he had received a letter from Checks Plus that checks from a closed bank account of his had been written.
*Brown County Sheriff’s officials report that a deputy made a traffic stop Tuesday evening that resulted in the passenger, 28-year-old Lorenzo Hale Banks, being arrested for possession of a dangerous drug. According to BSCO Captain Tony Aaron, as the vehicle was stopped, the driver ran from the vehicle and was not able to be located. The vehicle did not belong to either the driver or the passenger and was impounded, said Aaron.
