Friday, September 25
*6:00 PM – A Brown County Sheriff’s deputy was dispatched to a dispute, which involved a white male breaking out windows on a house on Thunderbird Drive near Lake Brownwood. According to the report, while in route, the deputy was advised that the white male was pouring gasoline on himself and then he ran off. The deputy made contact with the resident of the house and she advised that her son, who was identified as 23-year-old James Kristopher Simmons of Menard, had broke her front window, door, and some of her fencing, the report states. After about an hour of searching the area, the deputy was able to locate Simmons, and place him under arrest for criminal mischief. Simmons was transported to the Brown County Jail with no further incident.
Thursday, September 26
*Brown County Sheriff’s Office received a report that 26 head of Spanish goats missing from a property on County Road 421 in May. According to the report, the goats do have ear tags. The complainant stated that he had not checked with his neighbors, but suspected they were stolen, due to his fence being new, the report states. On Saturday, September 28th, the complainant called Brownwood Dispatch and advised the goats had been located on a neighbor’s property, according to the deputy’s report.
*A Brown County Sheriff’s deputy was dispatched to a property on FM 1849 in regards to theft of service $500-$1500. Brookesmith Water reported that someone had illegally connected to their waterline, the report states.Friday, September 27
*4:32 PM – Brownwood Police were dispatched to a domestic dispute in the 2000 block of Brady Avenue, which resulted in the arrest of 51-year-old Theresa Lorraine Huckaby for assault causes bodily injury family violence.
*Brown County Sheriff’s Office received a report of theft of property from a location on Blarney Drive. According to the report, the complainant’s golf clubs had been stolen from the bed of his pickup truck. The golf clubs and bag is valued at approximately $1,230, the report states.
*The Brownwood City Marshal arrested 27-year-old Jessica Ann Perkins on municipal warrants related to failure to control speed and failure to maintain financial responsibility.
*Early Police arrested 23-year-old Shelley Kay Smith on a Galveston County warrant related to failure to appear/resist arrest/search /transport
Saturday, September 28
*1:55 AM – A Brown County Sheriff’s deputy was traveling northbound on N US 183, near CR 367 in May, when he observed a vehicle parked on the side of the highway. According to the report, he conducted a welfare check and observed a white male, wearing a dark colored shirt and blue jeans, sleeping in the driver side front seat. The male was later identified as 44-year-old Michael Patrick Stavley of May, the report states. An open beer can was observed in the center console and Stavley stated he had been drinking. He was placed under arrest for driving while intoxicated 3rd or more and possession of dangerous drug. A blood specimen was taken from Stavley and he was transported to the Brown County Jail.
*10:56 AM – Brownwood Police were called to the 600 block of Idlewild regarding criminal mischief. According to the report, on the night of September 26th, an unknown person had “keyed” a Ford F-150 pickup. The investigation is ongoing the report states.
*4:11 PM – A Brownwood Police officer was traveling on Southside Drive when he observed a vehicle traveling at 40 mph in a 30 mph zone without a front license plate. According to the report, a traffic stop was made in the 2100 block of Southside Drive which resulted in the arrest of 44-year-old Jose Marcos Pena for fictitious inspection/insurance document and display/possess fictitious license plate.
*Brownwood Police arrested 28-year-old William Haynie on warrants related to driving while license invalid and failure to appear.
*Brown County Sheriff’s Office arrested 19-year-old Andrew Chambliss Thrasher of May for possession of marijuana less than 2 ounces.
Sunday, September 29
*7:40 AM – Brownwood Police were dispatched to the 1500 block of Davis Lane regarding a domestic disturbance. According to the report, a male and female had been in a physical altercation and that the male subject ran away on foot after he had hit the caller’s niece and that the male was in the wooded area across from the parking lot at this location. This call led to the arrest of 33-year-old Jason Gilbert Guerrero for assault with injury family violence by strangulation, interfere with emergency call, criminal mischief equal or greater than $500 less than $1500, assault causes bodily injury and evading arrest/detention.
*10:50 AM – Brownwood Police were called to a residence in the 300 block of Bluffview Drive regarding an unwanted person. According to the report, a criminal trespass warning was issued to the ex-boyfriend of the complainant.
*3:22 PM – Brownwood Police were called to the 1400 block of Austin Avenue regarding the burglary of a vehicle. According to the report, while the complainant was in Brookshire’s grocery store, an unknown suspect entered her unlocked vehicle and removed her personal property. The investigation is ongoing, the report states.
*4:08 PM – Brownwood Police were dispatched to the 1300 block of Avenue B regarding the burglary of a habitation. According to the report, three brown leather saddles along with their tack, valued at approximately $1,000 each, were stolen from the property
*6:53 PM – Brownwood Police were called to the 700 block of Carnegie Street regarding theft. According to the report, an unknown female subject had stolen several Sunday edition Brownwood Bulletin newspapers. A witness gave a description of the suspect, the report states.
*9:10 PM – Brownwood Police responded to the 3200 block of Durham Avenue regarding a domestic disturbance. According to the report, the complainant stated that he had been physically assaulted by his son. The suspect was gone prior to the officer’s arrival and the victim had minor injuries, the report states. The incident was documented.
*9:42 PM – Brownwood Police were dispatched to the 1500 block of Waco Street regarding disorderly conduct. According to the report, the officer arrived to find a male, identified as 43-year-old Marty Gene Cunningham, standing in the middle of the roadway. Further investigation led to the arrest of Cunningham for public intoxication.
*Brownwood Police arrested 18-year-old Cheyenne Dakota Batt on municipal court warrants related to theft and failure to appear.
*Brownwood Police arrested 42-year-old Brian Paul Berniard, Jr. on municipal warrants related to speeding 10% or more and failure to appear.
*29-year-old Natasha Monique Feltner of Grand Prairie turned herself in on a warrant related to motion to revoke/possession of a controlled substance penalty group 3 less than 28 grams.
*Early Police arrested 24-year-old Jason Dale King II for driving while license invalid with previous conviction/suspended without financial responsibility.
*Early Police arrested 47-year-old Donald Ray Lieberman of Brownwood on a Palo Pinto County warrant related to a probation violation/possession of marijuana less than 2 ounces.
*Early Police arrested 27-year-old Jina Michelle McClain of Early for driving while intoxicated.
*Bangs Police arrested 26-year-old Brittney Wyanne Meador of Killeen for theft of property equal or greater than $20 less than $50 by check.
*Texas Department of Public Safety arrested 24-year-old Richard Hamilton Melder, Jr. of Georgetown for driving while license suspended with previous conviction.
