Law Enforcement arrests and reports released Wednesday, September 29, 2010

Thursday, September 23

*4:14pm-Brownwood Police were dispatched to the 200 block of W. Commerce in reference to a theft that occurred at a local fast food business.  As the officer arrived, the complainant explained that he had stopped to take a break at McDonald’s and while inside, his iPhone was stolen out of his unlocked car.  When he came outside, he discovered the phone had been stolen.  The complainant wishes to press charges if a suspect was located.

Tuesday, September 28

*7:43am-Brownwood Police were called to the 2200 block of High Meadows regarding a stolen bicycle.  The complainant stated that the bicycle was last seen on 9/27 around 7pm and noticed to be missing around 6:45am on 9/28.  Complainant does wish to pursue charges.

*9:37am-Brownwood Police officers were called to the 1000 block of Cordell in reference to a burglary of a building.  The complainant reported two tires, two chain boomers, and a basket of clothing had been stolen from her laundry room.

*12:28pm-A Brownwood Police officer met with a complainant regarding harassment calls.  Complainant explained that she had received three sexual text messages from a man she knows.  The complainant stated that these text messages were unsolicited and unwanted according to the report and that she believes that they were sent to her by mistake; however she did ask for an informational report to be filed.  The officer attempted to contact the subject but was unsuccessful at this time.

*6:52pm-A narcotics investigation in the 2300 block of Magnolia Street in Brownwood culminated in the arrest of 41-year-old Michael Robert Mendyk for Possession of Marijuana.

*9:23pm-Brownwood Police were called to the 3500 block of Golding Road regarding a domestic dispute.  This call led to the arrest of 30-year-old Joshua Lee Dean for Assault Causing Bodily Injury Family Violence and Unlawful Restraint.

Thursday, September 29

*At 12:07am-A Brownwood Police officer conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle for an improper right turn.  Further investigation led to the arrest of 40-year-old Ricky Lynn Deaver for Driving While Intoxicated.

All arrestees are innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
