Monday, September 26

*10:34 AM – Brownwood Police made a traffic stop in the area of Austin Avenue and Willis Street which resulted in the arrest of 43-year-old James Anthony Romero of Brownwood for manufacture delivery of a controlled substance greater than 1 gram less than 4 grams in a drug free zone.

*6:55 PM – Brownwood Police were called to a residence on Cleburne Street regarding a domestic disturbance.  According to the report, the complainant stated that her husband had knocked a phone out of her hand and ran.

*7:15 PM – A Brown County Sheriff’s deputy was dispatched to County Road 159 regarding a report of reckless damage.  According to the report the complainant advised he observed a vehicle mudding in the area of CR 159.

*9:10 PM – Brownwood Police were called to the 3500 block of Golding Road regarding an assault.  The incident was investigated and documented, the report states.

*A Brown County Sheriff’s deputy was dispatched to a business on Highway 279 for a person who was attempting to steal some items from the store.  According to the report, the store manager stated that a known female was trying to steal things.  Although the deputy could not press theft charges on the suspect, he issued a trespass warning against her, per the request of the manager.

*A Brown County Sheriff’s deputy was dispatched to County Road 382 regarding the burglary of a vehicle.  According to the report, the complainant stated that a known person had gotten into his vehicle and taken a drone and its remote without his permission.

*A Brown County Sheriff’s Office received a report of theft from the Brookesmith ISD.  According to the report, multiple items had been stolen from the school between the dates of September 19th through 26th.  The school official reported that equipment and items missing included two laptop computers, a 40-inch flat screen television, and approximately $300 in miscellaneous cash on hand.

*26-year-old Julia Banda of Azle, Texas turned herself in on a warrant related to motion to adjudicate/theft.

*Brown County Sheriff’s Office arrested 38-year-old Vernon Sanders of Abilene, Texas regarding warrants related to surety withdrawals for theft enhanced and unlawful use of criminal instrument.  Sanders was being held in the Brown County Jail on bonds totaling $20,000 as of Tuesday morning.

*The Brownwood City Marshal arrested 30-year-old Bobby Ray Sustaiti of Brownwood on warrants related to possession of drug paraphernalia and failure to appear.

*41-year-old Shelly Denise Trowbridge of Lake Brownwood, Texas turned herself in on a warrant related to possession of a controlled substance penalty group 1 less than 1 gram.

Tuesday, September 27

*8:12 AM – Brownwood Police were dispatched to the 1200 block of 1st Street regarding theft.  According to the report, the complainant stated that his daughter’s Harley Davidson-style Powerwheel had been stolen from the outside of his residence.

*11:50 AM – Brownwood Police made a traffic stop in the 1000 block of Wood Street due to the driver not wearing a seat belt.  According to the report, this stop led to the arrest of the driver, identified as 37-year-old Mindy Rose Evans of Mullins, Texas, for failure to maintain financial responsibility and possession of drug paraphernalia.

*2:19 AM – Brownwood Police were dispatched to the 700 block of W. Austin Avenue regarding theft.  According to the report, a drill and drill bits were stolen from the complainant’s bicycle.

Wednesday, September 28

*12:44 AM – Brownwood Police were called to a business in the 1500 block of Coggin Avenue regarding a possible altercation involving a firearm.  According to the report, two male subjects were identified, Joseph Anderson, who was identified as the victim and another male.  Anderson stated that the other male had confronted him and pointed a firearm at him.  During the investigation, Anderson was found to have two baggies with methamphetamine residue and drug paraphernalia were found in the suspect’s possession, along with other items which were confiscated for safe keeping including a Bexar County Constable badge, jewelry, cell phones and a backpack containing personal items and clothing, according to the report.  As a result of this call, 37-year-old Joseph Shawn Anderson of Brownwood was arrested for possession of a controlled substance penalty group 1 less than 1 gram in a drug free zone.

*Brownwood Police arrested 31-year-old Richard Paul Fields of Brownwood on warrants related to unrestrained dog and failure to appear.
