Tuesday, September 22
*2:21 PM – A Brown County Sheriff’s deputy was dispatched to County Road 569 regarding the theft of a 4 wheeler from the complainant’s front yard.
Thursday, September 24
*A Brown County Sheriff’s deputy received a report regarding harassment by phone. According to the report, the complainant has been receiving unwanted phone calls from her ex-husband.
Friday, September 25
*10:15 AM – Brownwood Police were called to the 2000 block of Brady Avenue regarding criminal mischief. According to the report, the investigation is ongoing.
*11:04 AM – A Brown County Sheriff’s deputy was dispatched to a property on HWY 279 regarding a damaged fence. According to the report, the incident was believed to have occurred between the hours of midnight and 7:30 AM this date, when an unknown person had driven down the complainant’s private drive and struck her pipe gate entry fence. No vehicle parts or vehicle information were found at the scene, the report states.
*1:27 PM – Brownwood Police were called to the law enforcement center regarding an aggravated robbery. According to the report, during the incident, the victim’s tablet, laptop and $13 cash were stolen. A suspect has been identified, the report states.*8:26 PM – A Brown County Sheriff’s deputy was dispatched to a property on Highway 279, in Brownwood regarding theft. According to the report, someone had stolen the complainant’s golf cart charger.
*9:15 PM – A Brown County Sheriff’s deputy was dispatched to a residence on West Main Blvd, regarding an assault which had just occurred. According to the report, there were no visible injuries on the victim; however, she stated that she would like to pursue charges against the suspect who was identified but not located at the scene.
*A Brown County Sheriff’s deputy made a traffic stop for failure to signal and defective equipment, which resulted in the arrest of three of its passengers. According to the report, during the stop, the deputy could smell a strong odor of burnt marijuana coming from the vehicle. The three occupants in the vehicle, identified as David Rhoades, driver Justice Hall and Cedric Cooper, were made to exit the vehicle, the report states. Cooper was found to have a baggy of marijuana in his pocket and had chewed up the joint he was smoking in an effort to keep the deputy from detecting it, according to the report. During a probable cause search of the vehicle, a prescription bottle that was not labeled which contained 53 Tramadol pills, a grinder with marijuana residue in it, and a shot glass with marijuana residue and an end of a burnt joint was located, the report states. 28-year-old Cedric Lee Cooper of Bangs was arrested for tamper/fabricate evidence and possession of marijuana less than 2 ounces. 47-year-old Justice Calvet Hall of Brownwood was charged with possession of marijuana less than 2 ounces. 21-year-old David Micheal Rhoades of Santa Anna was arrested for possession of marijuana less than 2 ounces and possession of a controlled substance penalty group 3 less than 28 grams.
*Brown County Sheriff’s Office received information that a wanted person, 28-year-old Jerod Scott Cyr of Brownwood, was at an office in the 2400 block of Crockett Drive in Brownwood. Cyr was located and arrested for the warrant related to unlawful possession of a firearm and surety withdrawals related to possession of a controlled substance and two counts of assault family violence. Because Cyr’s vehicle was going to be towed, it was inventoried and inside was found an eyeglasses case which contained a glass methamphetamine pipe with residue, 58 new small plastic baggies, and one small baggie with a small amount of methamphetamine, the report states. Also found inside the vehicle was a metal container used for the storage and snorting of narcotics, for which Cyr was additionally charged for possession of a controlled substance in penalty group less than one gram, the report states. Cyr was being held in the Brown County Jail in lieu of bonds totaling $56,500 as of Monday morning.
*Texas Department of Public Safety arrested 43-year-old Constance Denice Fenton of Brownwood on a warrant related to theft of property equal or greater than $20 less than $500 by check.
*Brownwood Police arrested 28-year-old Kileen Nicole Hayes of May on a warrant related to burglary of a habitation. Hayes was being held on a $50,000 bond as of Monday morning.
*Texas Department of Public Safety arrested 21-year-old Terry Lee Oliver of Goldthwaite on a warrant related to evading arrest/detention with vehicle.
*Brownwood Police arrested 35-year-old Michael Dwayne Smith of Early on a warrant related to burglary of a habitation. Smith was released on $35,000 bond.
Saturday, September 26
*12:37 AM – A Brown County Sheriff’s deputy made a traffic stop near the intersection of Avenue E and 3rd Street for failure to come to a complete stop at the stop sign. During the course of the stop, nervous behavior was detected and led to the arrest of the driver, identified as 25-year-old Micheal Paydan Beard of Brownwood for possession or delivery of drug paraphernalia, according to the report.
*8:19 AM – Brownwood Police were called to the 2800 block of Southside Drive regarding public intoxication. According to the report, a male subject was bothering customers at the store. This call led to the arrest of 61-year-old James Edward Flowers of Brownwood for possession of a controlled substance penalty group 1 less than 1 gram, possession of a controlled substance penalty group 3 less than 28 grams in a drug free zone and possession of drug paraphernalia. Flowers was being held in the Brown County jail in lieu of bonds totaling $33,000 as of Monday morning.
*1:44 PM – Brownwood Police made a traffic stop in the 2300 block of Main Blvd. This stop led to the arrest of two occupants of the vehicle, the driver, for failure to maintain financial responsibility and driving while license invalid as well as possession of marijuana. The passenger was additionally found to have an outstanding warrant from the Brownwood Police Department.
*2:24 PM – Brownwood Police were called to the 1700 block of Avenue A regarding theft. According to the report, the complainant stated that some of her renters had stripped the electrical wiring in her rental properties.
*Brownwood Police arrested 27-year-old Jose Denise Ann Cavanaugh of Brownwood on a warrant related to theft.
*Brownwood Police arrested 19-year-old Annabell Doskocil of Brownwood for criminal mischief equal or greater than $500 less than $1500 and possession of marijuana less than 2 ounces.
*Early Police arrested 47-year-old Christopher Burt Hardaway of Bangs for public intoxication and on an active Tarrant County warrant related to theft of property.
*Texas Department of Public Safety arrested 54-year-old Darlon Houston of Dallas for possession of marijuana less than 2 ounces.
*Uvalde County Sheriff’s Office arrested 45-year-old Jack Miller of Brady on a bond related to failure to appear.
*Texas Department of Public Safety arrested 18-year-old Sabrina Pratt of Leander for driving while intoxicated.
*Brownwood Police arrested 20-year-old Ethan Vance Wills of Brownwood for driving while license invalid with previous conviction/suspension without financial responsibility.
Sunday, September 27
*1:21 AM – A Brown County Sheriff’s deputy responded to a property on County Road 178 regarding a domestic disturbance. According to the report, the suspect, identified as 33-year-old Charles Dennis Hanley of Bangs had grabbed his wife by her jacket, which put pressure on her neck impeding her breathing. Hanley was placed in custody for 3rd degree felony assault family violence by occlusion for impeding the victim’s airway during the assault.
*10:47 AM – Brownwood Police were called to the 400 block of W. Commerce regarding theft. According to the report, this call led to the arrest of the suspect, identified as 64-year-old Yvonne Montellano of Bangs for theft, criminal trespass and an active Taylor County warrant for theft.
*3:11 PM – Brownwood Police were called to the 1300 block of Avenue C regarding a hit and run accident.
*3:14 AM – A Brown County Sheriff’s deputy was dispatched to the report of an unwanted person at a property on N. Highway 279, who had kicked in the door to the residence. The suspect, who has been identified, was no longer on scene but was reported to have taken the victim’s cell phone when he realized she was calling for help.
*7:16 PM – Brownwood Police were called to the 2700 block of Vine Street regarding a domestic disturbance.
*Brownwood Police arrested 47-year-old Kory Lee Haines of Brownwood on a warrant related to public intoxication.
