Law Enforcement arrests and reports released Monday, September 27, 2010
Friday, September 24
*5:01pm – Brown County Sheriff’s deputy responded to a report of an animal bite on County Road 107. The report states that an elderly woman was bitten by a stray cat.
*6:21pm-Brownwood Police were called to the 1800 block of S US Hwy 377 regarding a possible DWI driver. While investigating the offense, police reports state the driver failed standard field sobriety tests. 52-year-old Tina Quintini was arrested for DWI/Open Container and transported to BRMC for a blood draw and then taken to the Brown County Jail.
*6:46pm – Brownwood Police responded to the 1100 block of Schroeder regarding a rock being thrown which punctured an above ground pool.
*10:00pm – Brownwood Police were called to the 1600 block of 3rd Street regarding a report of a man being threatened. Suspects were spoken with and denied any threats were made.
*11:45pm – Brownwood Police responded to the 2800 block of Southside Drive regarding a possible assault. The police reports stated that the complainant was determined to be intoxicated and no visible signs of injury were detected. Suspect information was obtained.
*Brown County Sheriff’s office arrested 28-year-old Rachel Ann Towler Baker for Possession of Marijuana less than or equal to 2 oz in a drug free zone and 44-year-old Shernon Madison Coleman for Driving while License Invalid with previous conviction and Possession of Marijuana less than or equal to 2 oz in a drug free zone
Saturday, September 25
*4:01am-A Brownwood Police officer conducted a traffic stop of a vehicle that did not have a front license plate in the 800 block of Bailey. Upon identifying the driver, 19-year-old Crystal Gayle Newingham and checking with communications, it was determined that Newingham had a suspended driver’s license and previous convictions for driving while license invalid. Newingham was arrested for DWLI with previous convictions and transported to the Brown County Jail.
*11:22-Brownwood Police were dispatched to the 1100 block of Duke Street regarding a burglary. Further information gathered on scene led to the investigation of a burglary of a habitation.
*7:32pm-Brownwood Police made a traffic stop on a vehicle in the 1900 block of 13th Street for a traffic violation. The stop resulted in the arrest of Angela Chambers for Driving While License Invalid/Failure to Maintain Financial Responsibility.
*Brownwood Police arrested 18-year-old Jeffery Utah Baldwin for Public Intoxication.
*Texas Department of Public Safety arrested 41-year-old Jose Angel Garcia for DWI/open container.
*Early Police arrested 48-year-old Randall Scott Snell for Driving While License Invalid with previous conviction.
Sunday, September 26
*A Brown County Sheriff’s deputy responded to Brownwood Regional Medical Center regarding two men who were injured during a fight at a party. The subjects said they did not know who caused the injuries and did not wish to pursue charges.
*7:43am-Brownwood Police were called to the 1700 block of Dallas regarding domestic disturbance. The call resulted in the arrest of Alan Joe Havens, charged with Assault Family Violence with Injury with previous conviction and a warrant service.
*9:20am-A Brownwood Police officer on patrol noticed a vehicle operating without headlights when required. Police reports state that after initiating the traffic stop, it was determined that the driver, 57-year-old Juan Gamez was intoxicated. Gamez was subsequently arrested for Driving While Intoxicated.
*6:51pm – Brownwood Police responded to a business in the 2500 block of Belle Plain. A glass front door of the business was destroyed.
*9:00pm-A Brownwood Police officer received a report of theft less than $3.00 in the 600 block of W. Commerce.
*9:23pm-Brownwood Police were dispatched to the 3500 block of 3rd Street regarding a domestic disturbance. The complainant stated her stepfather slapped her across the face and kicked her after an argument over her car. The stepfather left the scene prior to officers’ arrival.
All arrestees are innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
