Monday, September 19
*8:00 PM – Brownwood Police received a report of the violation of a protection order at a property located on Coggin Avenue.
Tuesday, September 20
*9:16 PM – Brownwood Police were called to the 1600 block of 4th Street regarding a domestic disturbance. According to the report, an investigation determined that a suicidal subject discharged a firearm through a wall of the residence. An investigation regarding deadly conduct is ongoing, the report states.
Wednesday, September 21
*1:12 AM – Brownwood Police were dispatched to the 400 block of W. Commerce regarding theft. According to the report, the actor was not on scene and the incident was documented.
Friday, September 23
*10:39 AM – Brownwood Police were dispatched to the 2200 block of Southside Drive regarding the theft of a motor vehicle. According to the report, a 2015 Yamaha motorcycle valued at $7,000 had been stolen.*11:06 AM – Brownwood Police were called to the 1400 block of Coggin Avenue regarding the theft of property. Items stolen included clothing, a suitcase, personal items, personal documents, and a binder of CDs, which were valued at more than $700.
*11:32 AM – Brownwood Police located a wanted person in the area of Broadway and C.C. Woodson Road. According to the report, 29-year-old James Jimenez of Brownwood was arrested, charged with theft and issued a citation for possession of drug paraphernalia.
*4:37 PM – Brownwood Police were called to the 400 block of W. Commerce regarding theft. According to the report, this call led to the issuance of a citation to the suspect for theft less than $100.
*5:22 PM – Brownwood Police were dispatched to the 400 block of W. Commerce regarding theft. According to the report, two females identified as 17-year-old Amanda Hernandez and 18-year-old Ryan Dankylee Miller along with a male subject identified as 17-year-old Nicholas Tylar Paul (all of Brownwood) were arrested for theft greater than $100 less than $750.
*5:23 PM – Brownwood Police were called to a residence on LaMonte Drive regarding two adult siblings that were physically fighting. According to the report, an investigation led to the arrest of 26-year-old Destinee Angela Hood of Brownwood for assault by strangulation family violence. Hood was being held in the Brown County Jail in lieu of $10,000 bond as of Monday morning.
*6:00 PM – Brownwood Police were dispatched to the 2000 block of Belle Plain regarding the burglary of a building. According to the report, the doors to four travel trailers were damaged and a television was stolen during the incident.
*8:26 PM – Brownwood Police were called to the 2300 block of Avenue E regarding the burglary of a building. According to the report, an unknown suspect entered two buildings on the property and stole power tools and gardening tools. An investigation is ongoing, the report states.
*8:41 PM – Brownwood Police were dispatched to the 1600 block of Melwood regarding a disturbance. According to the report, an investigation led to the arrest of 57-year-old Jerry Wayne Smith of Brownwood for assault family violence by strangulation. Smith was later released on $10,000 bond.
*8:52 PM – Brownwood Police were dispatched to the 1300 block of Campa Drive regarding fraud. According to the report, the complainant’s personal information had been stolen to open a line of credit.
*9:03 PM – Brownwood Police were called to the 1500 block of Terrace Drive regarding a domestic disturbance. According to the report, this call led to the arrest of 24-year-old Michael Tulcus of Early for assault with injury family violence.
*Bangs Police arrested 52-year-old Sabrina Lynn Pierson of Bangs for disorderly conduct and on a warrant related to contempt of court.
*Brownwood Police arrested 43-year-old Stephen Michael Westerman of Brownwood on a warrant related to criminal nonsupport.
Saturday, September 24
*7:53 AM – Brownwood Police were dispatched to the 3500 block of Durham Avenue regarding theft of property. According to the report, collectible coins, jewelry and a jewelry box, valued at more than $7,000 were stolen from the property.
*11:54 AM – Brownwood Police made a traffic stop in the 600 block of W. Commerce. According to the report, during the stop, a consent search was made which located drug paraphernalia. The driver was subsequently issued a citation for the paraphernalia.
*2:38 PM – Brownwood Police were called to the 2700 block of Avenue B regarding a suspicious female. According to the report, this call led to the arrest of the female, identified as 36-year-old Mary Elizabeth Reid of Brownwood for public intoxication.
*8:06 PM – Brownwood Police were dispatched to the 600 block of Avenue C regarding a hit and run accident.
*9:24 PM – Brownwood Police were dispatched to the 1100 block of Tannehill regarding a male subject with a gun. According to the report, an investigation led to the arrest of the male, identified as 37-year-old Bobby Joe Dudley of Brownwood for several charges and a shotgun that was in his possession was seized.
*10:54 PM – A Brown County Sheriff’s deputy observed a vehicle parked in a no parking zone in the 9000 block of CR 257. According to the report, the deputy made contact with the driver, identified as 17-year-old Jontavian Deshawn Jones of Brownwood. Jones was found to be in possession of narcotics and was subsequently arrested for possession of a dangerous drug.
*A Brown County Sheriff’s deputy and three Brown County inmate workers assisted with the May Community Cleanup in May, Texas. According to the report, approximately 1.5 tons of refuse and rubbish with 74 scrap tires were collected.
*Brown County Sheriff’s Office arrested 55-year-old James Howard Allen of Brownwood on warrants related to failure to appear/county civil service subpoena and no fishing license.
*Brownwood Police arrested 22-year-old William Demarcus Whinery of Brownwood on a warrant related to failure to maintain financial responsibility.
Sunday, September 25
*3:08 AM – A Brown County Sheriff’s deputy responded to County Road 173 in Bangs to a report of a prowler. According to the report, the suspected prowler was located and identified as 40-year-old Michael Anthony Wright of Brownwood. Wright was arrested for public intoxication, possession controlled substance penalty group 1 <1 gram, possession of drug paraphernalia, and on a Kerr County warrant related to failure to appear/child support.
*9:33 AM – Brownwood Police were dispatched to the 2000 block of Elizabeth regarding the burglary of a vehicle. According to the report, a handgun with a full magazine and its holster were stolen from the vehicle.
*9:48 AM – Brownwood Police were called to the 1500 block of Terrace Drive regarding trespass into a habitation. According to the report, this call led to the arrests of 20-year-old Elijah Ray Jones of Brownwood for criminal trespass in a habitation, failure to identify, and manufacture delivery of a controlled substance penalty group 1 less than 1 gram; 18-year-old Alexis Tomkins of Brownwood for criminal trespass in a habitation; and one juvenile for criminal trespass in a habitation.
*12:23 PM – Brownwood Police were called to a residence on Melwood Avenue regarding an assault with injury involving strangulation and family violence.
*5:30 PM – Brownwood Police were dispatched to the 600 block of W. Commerce regarding counterfeiting/fraud.
*6:25 PM – Brownwood Police were dispatched to the 400 block of W. Commerce regarding the theft of property.
*Brown County Sheriff’s Office arrested 35-year-old Terra Dawn Dyer of Breckenridge, Texas on warrants related to theft of property equal or greater than $100 less than $750 and theft by check.
*Early Police arrested 38-year-old Melissa Mae Floyd of Brownwood for driving while intoxicated.
*Bangs Police arrested 25-year-old Alexander Jose Martinez of Brownwood on a parole violation.
*Brownwood Police arrested 31-year-old Earl Joseph Schenk, Jr. of Brownwood for parent permit unlicensed driver.
*Texas Department of Public Safety arrested 19-year-old Juan Vasquez of Austin, Texas for driving while license invalid with previous conviction, driver’s license/id false, possession of drug paraphernalia and minor in possession of alcohol. Vasquez was later released on bonds totaling $10,500.
