Monday, September 22

*9:45 AM – A Brown County Sheriff’s deputy made a traffic stop at the intersection of U.S. Hwy 67 and County Road 169 in Bangs on a vehicle for a traffic violation.  According to the report, the occupants of the vehicle were identified as 28-year-old Jeremy Myrl Bauman of Hardin, Texas and 45-year-old Richard Bush of Murfreesboro, Tennessee.  The deputy stated that both Bauman and Bush exhibited nervous behavior and an unusual reason for travel during the stop.  A consensual search located two modified glass light bulbs that each contained methamphetamine residue, according to the deputy’s report.  Both Bauman and Bush denied ownership and knowledge of the illegal contraband, the report states.  Bauman and Bush were arrested and  Bauman was charged with possession of a controlled substance penalty group 1 less than 1 gram in a drug free zone and on a Hardin County warrant for terroristic threat.  Bush was arrested for with possession of a controlled substance penalty group 1 less than 1 gram in a drug free zone.

*4:00 PM – A Brown County Sheriff’s deputy was dispatched to the report of a burglary of a building.  According to the report, the complainant stated that someone had entered his storage building without his consent and had taken numerous items.

*5:23 PM – Brownwood Police were called to the 2000 block of Austin Avenue regarding a civil matter.  According to the report, the parties involved were roommates with rental issues.  This call led to a report of criminal mischief to a television being filed, according to police.

*11:37 PM – Brownwood Police were dispatched to the 900 block of 16th Street regarding the burglary of a habitation.  According to the report, miscellaneous items such as a Nabi tablet, a camera, jewelry and perfume had been taken from the complainant’s residence.  The investigation is ongoing, the report states.

*Texas Department of Public Safety arrested 56-year-old Collin Barrow of Brownwood for driving while intoxicated 2nd.

*24-year-old Marianna Cintron Ramirez of Brownwood turned herself in on a warrant related to driving while intoxicated with child.

Tuesday, September 23

*7:22 AM – Brownwood Police were dispatched to the 1100 block of Magnolia regarding assault family violence.  According to the report, the incident was settled by separation.

*9:07 AM – Brownwood Police were called to the 2100 block of Brady Avenue regarding a terroristic threat.  According to the report, the mother of the victim stated that her 5-year-old daughter had been threatened with bodily harm by an unknown middle school aged boy on the school bus.  The incident was documented by police.

*12:35 PM – Brownwood Police were called to the 2400 block of Monterrey Street regarding a domestic disturbance.  According to the report, an investigation led to the arrest of 18-year-old Jasmine Tumminello of Brownwood for assault with injury family violence.

*1:52 PM – Brownwood Police met with a complainant at the law enforcement center regarding the burglary of a building in the 600 block of Avenue G.

*2:48 PM – Brown County Sheriff’s Office received a report of excessive use of force by a staff member.

*6:14 PM – Brownwood Police were dispatched to the 2400 block of Asbury regarding theft of property.  According to the report, a rubber bed mat for a pickup had been stolen while it was parked in the driveway of the residence.

*6:44 PM – Brownwood Police were called to the 1600 block of 4th Street regarding possible narcotics activity.  According to the report, during an investigation bongs and a hoka pipe were seized.

*Brown County Sheriff’s Office arrested 37-year-old Butch Landon Spearman of Brownwood on warrants related to engage in organized criminal activity and manufacture/delivery of a controlled substance penalty group 1 equal or greater than 4 grams less than 200 grams.

*Texas Department of Criminal Justice arrested 30-year-old Charles Burt of Tarrant County on a warrant related to engage in organized criminal activity.

*Bangs Police arrested 41-year-old Joseph Nicholas Castaneda, Jr. of Brownwood for theft of fuel greater than $20 less than $50 and no driver’s license.

*27-year-old Walker Eddie Covey of Breckenridge turned himself in on a warrant related to motion to adjudicate/theft by check.

*43-year-old Peter Lance Herring of Early on a warrant related to failure to appear/driving while license invalid.

*Tom Green County Sheriff’s Office arrested 34-year-old Nicole Lopez of Menard for two counts of assault of a public servant, public intoxication evading arrest and on a warrant related to evading arrest or transport.  Lopez was being held in lieu of bonds totaling $50,500.

*Brown County Sheriff’s Office arrested 20-year-old Ceairra Dawn Moore of Comanche on a warrant related to motion to adjudicate/possession of marijuana less than 2 ounces and surety withdrawals related to three counts of possession of a controlled substance and theft of property.  Moore is being held at the Brown County Jail in lieu of bonds totaling $21,000.

*Brown County Sheriff’s Office arrested 35-year-old Enrique Ponce of Coleman on a warrant related to a parole violation.

*Brown County Sheriff’s Office arrested 27-year-old Michael Fredrick Ruschmyer of Grapevine on a warrant related to motion to revoke/theft of property equal or greater than $1500 less than $20,000.

*Early Police arrested 55-year-old Chester Noland Williams of Blanket for public intoxication.
