Sunday, September 22

*A Brown County Sheriff’s deputy conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle for speeding on Highway 279 and County Road 467.  According to the report, while waiting for the vehicle to pull over, the deputy observed a glass methamphetamine pipe flying out of the passenger side of the vehicle, shattering in the roadway. After an investigation, it was determined that the pipe belonged to the front passenger, identified as 28-year-old Melissa Atkinson of Clyde and the person who had thrown it out the window was the back seat passenger, identified as 32-year-old Michael Scott Rogers of Brownwood, the report states.  Atkinson was arrested and charged with possession of a controlled substance penalty group 1 less than 1 gram and possession of a controlled substance penalty group 3 less than 28 grams.  Rogers was charged with possession of a controlled substance penalty group 1 less than 1 gram and tamper/fabricate physical evidence with intent to impair.

Monday, September 23

*12:27 PM – Brownwood Police were dispatched to the 1200 block of Looney Street regarding theft of service.  The complainant was referred to the Brown County Attorney’s Office.

*5:36 PM – Brownwood Police were called to Wal-Mart regarding theft.   According to the report, asset protection employees stated that two females and a male subject were observed by employees working together to conceal merchandise and left the store separately.  When the employees attempted to stop one female suspect, she abandoned her shopping cart and fled with stolen merchandise; however she left her personal identification in the shopping cart, the report states.    Asset protection employees were able to provide the license plate of the suspect’s vehicle, according to police.  The incident, suspects, and suspect’s vehicle were recorded on Wal-Mart’s surveillance video, the report states.  An active report for engage in organized criminal activity was generated.

*A Brown County Sheriff’s deputy stopped a vehicle for a turn signal violation.  According to the report, the driver was identified as well as the passenger, who was identified 39-year-old Andrew Eugene Bradshaw II of Bangs.  Bradshaw gave consent to search his person for narcotics and the deputy found a clear glass methamphetamine pipe with residue wrapped in a blue bandana hidden in Bradshaw’s crotch area, the report states.  A small clear baggie of marijuana was also found in his right sock.  Bradshaw was arrested for possession of a controlled substance penalty group 1 less than 1 gram.

*Brown County Sheriff’s Office arrested 20-year-old Jerry Doyle Marney on warrants related to failure to appear/unlawful possession of a firearm by felon and failure to appear/unauthorized use of a vehicle.

*Texas Juvenile Justice Department arrested 17-year-old Arianne Deshaye Robinson of Alief, Texas for assault public servant.
