Law Enforcement arrests and reports released Wednesday, September 22, 2010
Monday, September 20
*11:56am-A Brownwood Police officer conducted a routine traffic stop on a vehicle traveling 40 mph in a 30 mph zone. Further investigation led to the arrest of the driver for Driving While License Invalid according to the report.
*7:50am-Brownwood Police received a report of criminal mischief in the 2200 block of Belmeade. A report was filed for damages to the complainant’s solar lights.
Tuesday, September 21
*2:59am-A Brownwood Police officer met with a male subject in the 800 block of Gifford regarding a burglary of a habitation. After an investigation, it was determined that the residence had been entered and various items were stolen the report states. There was a limited amount if identifiers for the stolen property and no suspects were known at the time of the report.
*8:16am-Brownwood Police were called to Bruner Toyota, located in the 300 block of E. Commerce regarding criminal mischief. According to police reports, during the night a 2010 Chevrolet Camaro was keyed and a liquid of some kind appeared to have been thrown into the car, causing spots on the interior and the back windshield. The Camaro was left unlocked and the passenger window had been left down according to police reports.
*8:34pm-Brownwood Police reported a residence in the 3500 block of Durham in reference to a stolen bicycle. The incident was reported to have happened between the hours of 3:30pm and 4:30pm at the residence. At the time of the report no suspect(s) had been identified.
*11:17pm-Brownwood Police were dispatched to the 500 block of E. Commerce to a local restaurant regarding theft. After speaking with a night supervisor, it was determined that two named individuals had left without paying for their meals. The manager does want to pursue charges for the theft.
*Bangs Police conducted a traffic stop which resulted in the arrest 52-year-old Michelle Ann Fuqua for Resisting Arrest or Transport.
Wednesday, September 22
* At approximately 6:00pm Early Police Officer Steven Means stopped a white Saturn for speeding on CC Woodson. Reports state that the driver appeared extremely nervous and when Officer Means asked why he was so nervous the driver, identified as 36-year-old Dan Ross Olin, Jr. stated he did know.
Officer Means obtained permission to search the subject’s car then ask if he had anything in his pockets. Olin didn’t reply. Officer means ask Olin if he would empty his pockets and Olin replied “Do I have to?” Police reports state that before Officer Means could reply, Olin pulled out 2 sandwich bags containing marijuana. Olin was placed under arrest for possession of marijuana.
*Approximately 2:35am Early Police Officer Steven Means and Officer Amanda Williams stopped a white Ford Explorer in the 200 block of Early Blvd for speeding and failing to signal a turn. Police said that while speaking to the driver, Officer Williams could smell an odor of alcohol on the driver’s person. The driver, identified as 27-year-old Jacquelyn Carnes, was asked to step out of the vehicle and perform a field sobriety test police reports state. Officers Williams and Means determined Carnes to be intoxicated and placed Carnes under arrest for DWI. Carnes was then taken to the Brownwood Regional Medical Center for a blood test and later taken to the Brown County Jail.
All arrestees are innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
