Friday, September 18
*8:17 AM – Brownwood Police were called to the 1600 block of Avenue B regarding narcotics. According to the report, during the investigation a quantity of suspected marijuana was seized and processed as evidence. The investigation is ongoing, the report states.
*10:37 AM – Brownwood Police were dispatched to the 400 block of W. Commerce regarding fraud. According to the report, the victim stated that a known suspect cashed a fraudulent check at the business.
*12:05 PM – Brownwood Police responded to the 900 block of Vine Street regarding criminal mischief. According to the report, the complainant stated that she was driving south in the area when an unknown suspect fired a BB gun at the vehicle causing damage. An investigation is ongoing, the report states.
*12:41 PM – Brownwood Police were dispatched to the 100 block of S. Washington regarding theft. According to the report, a winch and custom base plate had been stolen from the complainant’s trailer.
*3:42 PM – Brownwood Police were called to the 1600 block of 2nd Street regarding the burglary of a vehicle. According to the report, the victim stated that an unknown male stole a cell phone from inside her vehicle. The suspect was chased from the scene by witnesses but avoided capture and was not located in the area, the report states.
*7:07 PM – Brownwood Police were called to the area of Adams and Washington Streets regarding public intoxication. According to the report, this call led to the arrest of 54-year-old Freddie Delvin Thomas of Brownwood for public intoxication.
*7:20 PM – Brownwood Police made a pedestrian stop on a male subject near the intersection of Avenue C and Vine Street. According to the report, this stop led to the arrest of 57-year-old Tommy Wayne Farris of Brownwood for public intoxication.
*10:40 PM – Brownwood Police were called to the 1500 block of Avenue A regarding harassment. According to the report, text messages that were threatening in manner caused the complainant alarm.
*The Brownwood City Marshal arrested 59-year-old David Lee Bergman of Brownwood on a warrant related to failure to appear.
*Brownwood police arrested 37-year-old Francisco Abelardo Escobedo of Early on a warrant related to a parole violation.
*18-year-old Luis Miguel Mejia of Brownwood turned himself in on a warrant related to assault family violence.
*Brown County Sheriff’s Office arrested 18-year-old Nikky Michelle Robles of Brownwood on a warrant related to failure to appear/theft of property greater than $50 less than $500 enhanced.
Saturday, September 19
*4:26 AM – Brownwood Police were dispatched to the area of 4th Street and Avenue B regarding a fire call. According to the report, a 4-door passenger car was on fire and was a total loss. Later in the morning, a complainant called and advised that his car had been stolen from the downtown area of Brownwood, the report states.
*9:17 AM – A Brown County Sheriff’s deputy met with a complainant regarding theft. According to the report, the complainant stated that while he was incarcerated on September 4, his wife loaned some tools to friends; however, after several attempts to get his tools returned, the friends have refused to comply.
*2:37 PM – Brownwood Police were called to the 900 block of C. C. Woodson regarding the burglary of a vehicle. According to the report, a vehicle was stolen from the vehicle. An investigation is ongoing, the report states.
*10:40 PM – Brownwood Police made a traffic stop in the area of Brick and W. Commerce Streets. This stop led to the arrest of the driver, identified as 56-year-old Gary Dwain Scott of Brownwood, for driving while intoxicated.
Sunday, September 20
*12:37 AM – Brownwood Police were dispatched to the area of 6th Street and Avenue H regarding a vehicle traveling southbound at a high rate of speed on Austin Avenue from Coggin Avenue. The vehicle was stopped and the driver was identified as 28-year-old Daniel Morales, Jr. Morales was arrested for driving while intoxicated, the report states.
*3:21 AM – Brownwood Police were called to the 2300 block of Magnolia Street regarding an assault. An investigation determined that no offense had occurred, the report states.
*9:06 AM – Brownwood Police were dispatched to the 1200 block of Austin Avenue regarding fraud. According to the report, a female had attempted to pass fraudulent checks and a money order. A suspect was identified, the report states.
*2:10 PM – Brownwood Police were called to the 700 block of Carnegie Street regarding a hit and run accident. An investigation is ongoing, the report states.
*7:12 PM – A Brown County Sheriff’s deputy was dispatched to a business on Hwy 279 N regarding a bomb threat. According to the report, no bomb was located on the premises.
*11:02 PM – Brownwood Police were dispatched to the 1000 block of San Benito regarding theft. According to the report, the suspect was identified by a witness and the victim wished to pursue criminal charges.
*3:05 PM – Brownwood Police were called to the 400 block of W. Lee Street regarding a domestic disturbance. According to the report, this call led to the arrests of 39-year-old Collie Creek for failure to identify and 42-year-old Kimberley Hardy for possession of a controlled substance penalty group 1 greater than 1 gram less than 4 grams.
*A Brown County Sheriff’s deputy was dispatched to the intersection of County Road 477 and Hwy 183N regarding an abandoned vehicle. According to the report, the vehicle was found sitting at the stop sign with its motor running and no one around. The deputy attempted to reach the registered owner with no success and the vehicle was towed from the scene due to being an immediate traffic hazard, the report states.
*Brownwood Police arrested 35-year-old Virginia Ruth Darnell of Brownwood on warrants related to theft and failure to appear.
*Brown County Sheriff’s Office arrested 18-year-old Jarrod Logan Mata on warrants related to failure to report injury/accident at once to authorities and failure to appear.
Monday, September 21
*Brownwood Police arrested 21-year-old Joshua Brooks of Lubbock for possession of marijuana less than 2 ounces.
*Brownwood Police arrested 19-year-old Silas Robison of Lubbock for possession of marijuana less than 2 ounces.
* Brownwood Police arrested 21-year-old Eric Lucero for possession of marijuana less than 2 ounces.
