Monday, August 27
*Brown County Sheriff’s Office received a report of animal cruelty. According to the report, the complainant stated that two dogs at a house on Pency Drive were being under fed. The deputy located three dogs, two of which appeared a little thin and the owner was advised of the complaint, the report states.
Monday, August 31
*1:28 PM – A Brownwood Police officer was dispatched to the law enforcement center regarding harassment. According to the report, two complainants advised that a known suspect is harassing them.
*1:35 PM – A Brownwood Police officer met with a complainant at the law enforcement center regarding the burglary of a vehicle. According to the report, a camera, computer, mouse, headphones and charger, were stolen from the complainant’s vehicle.
*3:02 PM – Brownwood Police were called to the 300 block of Bluffview Drive regarding harassment. According to the report, a female complainant stated a known suspect is harassing her.Tuesday, September 1
*7:55 AM – Brownwood Police were dispatched to a convenience store in the 2800 block of Southside Drive regarding theft. According to the report, a suspect stole a set of headphones valued at $19.57.
*9:46 AM – Brownwood Police were called to the 2300 block of Dartmore Street regarding the burglary of a habitation which was in progress. According to the report, an investigation led to one male juvenile being arrested on multiple charges. The juvenile was transported to the Juvenile Detention Center, the report states.
*10:49 AM – Brownwood Police were dispatched to the 2000 block of Avenue B regarding forgery of a financial instrument.
*11:16 AM – Brownwood Police spoke to a complainant via telephone regarding theft. According to the report, the complainant’s landscaping lights were stolen from her yard.
*4:01 PM – Brownwood Police were called to the 1300 block of Austin Avenue regarding the burglary of a vehicle. According to the report, the complainant’s purse was stolen from her vehicle while she attempted to get a movie from the RedBox machine at this location.
*4:59 PM – Brownwood Police were dispatched to the 1400 block of Austin Avenue regarding theft. According to the report, a male subject was found to have stolen a package of fresh okra and was issued a citation for theft less than $50.
*6:53 PM – Brownwood Police were called to the 1200 block of Melwood regarding a wanted person. According to the report, 32-year-old Frank William Brummett was located at the residence and was known to have three active warrants for his arrest. During a search of Brumett’s person during his arrest, officers located a glass pipe and methamphetamine, the report states. Brummet was arrested for the warrants and additionally charged with possession of a controlled substance penalty group 1 less than 1 gram.
*A Brown County Sheriff’s Office was dispatched to a residence on County Road 159 regarding fraud and identity theft. According to the report, the complainant stated she received text messages requesting she mail a $370 MoneyGram to a Las Vegas address in exchange for a cash payment of $150,000 from a federal grant. The complainant’s Facebook account has been hacked and she believes her personal information was compromised, the report states.
*The Brownwood City Marshal arrested 36-year-old Alandra Nicole Dillard of Brownwood on a warrant related to expired registration.
*Early Police arrested 49-year-old Brian Edgar for driving while intoxicated and open container in vehicle.
*Brown County Sheriff’s Office arrested 59-year-old Gary Lee George for public intoxication.
*Brown County Sheriff’s Office arrested 34-year-old Brandon Lee Hobbs of Snyder for surety withdrawals related to unauthorized use of a motor vehicle and unlawful possession of firearm by felon as well as on warrants related to theft from person, and theft from person over $1500 less than $20,000. Hobbs was being held in the Brown County Jail in lieu of bonds totaling $86,000 as of Wednesday morning.
*Brownwood Police arrested 18-year-old Luis Miguel Mejia of Brownwood on a warrant related to assault family/household member with previous conviction.
*64-year-old Yvonne Montellano of Bangs turned herself in on a warrant related to theft of property equal to or greater than $500 less than $1500.
*Brownwood Police arrested 37-year-old Bobby Morgan Wallace of Brownwood for public intoxication.
Wednesday, September 2
*Brown County Sheriff’s Office arrested 33-year-old Rebecca Grace Bacon of Brownwood for assault.
*Brown County Sheriff’s Office arrested 31-year-old Steven G. Biggs for possession of a controlled substance penalty group 1 equal or greater than 1 gram less than 4 grams and controlled substance penalty group 1 less than 1 gram.
*Brownwood Police arrested 30-year-old Christina Garcia for assault causes bodily injury family violence.
*Early Police arrested 25-year-old Anthony Harris of Plugerville for possession of marijuana less than 2 ounces and possession of drug paraphernalia.
*Brown County Sheriff’s Office arrested 45-year-old Britt Wade Stevens of Brownwood on a warrant related to motion to revoke/possession of a controlled substance.
*Early Police arrested 28-year-old Robert Joseph Strait of Pflugerville for possession of marijuana less than 2 ounces and possession o f drug paraphernalia.
*Early Police arrested 25-year-old Kyle of Pflugerville for possession of marijuana less than 2 ounces and possession o f drug paraphernalia.
