Thursday, August 28
*11:25 AM – Brown County Sheriff’s Office received a report of identity theft. According to the report, the complainant stated that someone using the complainant’s information opened an account with Dish Network for service at an unknown address on CR 325, in Brown County where she has never lived. The complainant stated that she has not authorized anyone use of her information to establish services at this address.
Friday, August 29
*12:25 PM – Brownwood Police spoke with a complainant via telephone regarding possible child abuse/neglect. According to the report, the caller wanted to report an incident of child abuse involving her 9-year-old nephew. The incident is under investigation, the report states.
*2:00 PM – Brownwood Police were dispatched to the 1000 block of W. Commerce regarding the burglary of a building. According to the report, an unknown suspect broke into her storage unit and stole all of her personal belongings.
*2:29 PM – Brownwood Police made a traffic stop near a south Brownwood apartment complex. According to the report, a quantity of suspected methamphetamine was located in the suspect’s vehicle. The quantity of methamphetamine discovered was consistent with narcotics distribution. The subject was arrested and charged with the possession of a controlled substance with the intent to distribute while in a drug free zone.
*3:20 PM – Brownwood Police were called to Walmart regarding a hit and run. According to the report, a black Dodge truck was struck while parked in the store’s parking lot. There was no suspect vehicle description at this time.
*4:03 PM – Brownwood Police were called to the 1200 block of Austin Avenue regarding forgery. According to the report, no suspects were identified.
*Brown County Sheriff’s Office arrested 30-year-old Kerissa Kay Bell of May on a warrant related to motion to revoke/possession of marijuana greater than 5 pounds less than or equal to 50 pounds.
*The Brownwood City Marshal arrested 23-year-old Khayman Broadi Delarosa of Brownwood on a warrant related to assault causes bodily injury.
*25-year-old Shawn Robert Harper of Brownwood turned himself in on a warrant related to theft of property equal or greater than $20 less than $500 by check.
*Brownwood Police arrested 36-year-old Reginald Dewayne Jones of Brownwood for assault causes bodily injury family violence.
*Brown County Sheriff’s Office arrested 30-year-old John Robert Quick of Brownwood on a warrant related to failure to appear/delivery of a controlled substance in a drug free zone.
Saturday, August 30
*1:21 AM – A Brown County Sheriff’s Deputy observed a vehicle driving around the Thunderbird Drive area of Lake Brownwood, which seemed to be driving without a destination and was observed attempting to avoid the deputy’s patrol car on two separate occasions, according to a report. Given the late hour and the suspicious behavior of the driver, the deputy made a traffic stop on the vehicle at the intersection of Iroquois Drive and Thunderbird Drive. The driver of the vehicle, identified as 20-year-old Ceiarra Dawn Moore of Comanche, was extremely nervous and fidgety while speaking with the deputy and was believed to be under the influence of narcotics, the deputy reported. When questioned about this, she admitted to having a marijuana smoking pipe in her pocket, the report states. A search of the vehicle located 6 bags of synthetic marijuana, which tested positive for the ingredients in K2 – a controlled substance, along with a prescription pill bottle without a label containing 13 prescription hydrocodone pills and a sock which held a large glass smoking pipe with residue (commonly associated with methamphetamine use) which field tested positive for methamphetamine, the deputy reported. Moore was arrested and charged with possession of a controlled substance penalty group 1 less than 1 gram, possession of a controlled substance penalty group 3 less than 28 grams and possession of a controlled substance penalty group 2A less than 2 ounces in a drug free zone.
*1:52 AM – Brownwood Police made a traffic stop in the 1300 block of Coggin Avenue regarding an improper right turn from 4th Street onto the 1500 block of Coggin Avenue. According to the report, the vehicle then failed to stop at the designated point at the stop light located at the intersection of Coggin Avenue and 3rd Street by crossing the solid white line. This stop led to the discovery of a metal pipe with burnt marijuana residue on it and the driver being issued a citation for possession of drug paraphernalia.
*11:46 AM – Brownwood Police were dispatched to the 500 block of 7th Street regarding a terroristic threat. According to the report, a complainant stated that a male had threatened to kill him.
*11:06 PM – A Brown County Sheriff’s Deputy observed a vehicle at a convenience store in the 3300 block of Hwy 183N which had its emergency flashers activated. According to the report, the deputy noticed a male, later identified as 27-year-old Jerrod Scot Cyr of Brownwood, outside of the vehicle and a female, later identified as 20-year-old Shannon Dawn Bishop, inside the vehicle. When asked by the deputy if he needed help, the male stated no and explained that he had a friend that was coming to tow the vehicle to town, according to the report. While speaking with Cyr and Bishop, another deputy observed an open container of alcohol sitting on the “stepside” of the vehicle and saw a marijuana “shake” in plain view inside a portable cup holder inside the vehicle, the report states. When confronted with this discovery, Cyr admitted smoking marijuana earlier in the evening and that the substance was indeed marijuana, according to the deputy. A probable cause search was then conducted on the rest of the vehicle and during the search, several small baggies consistent with methamphetamine use were found inside a baby wipe container, the report states. One baggie contained a substance which field tested positive for methamphetamine, the report states. Also found during the search was a marijuana pipe and a glass methamphetamine pipe, the deputy stated in the report. Cyr and Bishop denied possession the methamphetamine and were arrested for possession of a controlled substance penalty group 1 less than 1 gram, according to the report.
*Texas Department of Public Safety arrested 50-year-old Henry William Britton, Jr. of Brownwood for driving while intoxicated.
*Brown County Sheriff’s office arrested 56-year-old Curtis Ray Deeds of Brownwood on a parole warrant.
*Brownwood Police arrested 23-year-old Keith Glenn Driskill of May on a Callahan County warrant related to theft by check.
*Bangs Police arrested 24-year-old Travis Wayne Hoover of Bangs for assault family violence, criminal mischief equal or greater than $500 less than $1500, evading arrest detention, and public intoxication.
Sunday, August 31
*2:00 AM – Brownwood Police made a warrant service in the 1400 block of Vine Street. According to the report, the person was located in the residence and arrested on the warrant related to theft by check. During the investigation, the wanted person, identified as 24-year-old Breanne Nicholle Jones of Brownwood, was found to be in possession of a quantity of methamphetamine and was given additional charge of possession of a controlled substance penalty group 1 less than 1 gram, the report states.
* 7:52 AM – A Brown County Sheriff’s Deputy met with a complainant at the law enforcement center who stated that a known suspect had assaulted him and his friend while they were at the lake. The complainant stated that the suspect had also kicked his vehicle twice; leaving large dents in the passenger side door and passenger side back quarter panel.
*11:49 AM – Brownwood Police were called to the 100 block of Bluffview Drive regarding a domestic disturbance. According to the report, a male, identified as 19-year-old Ethan Willis of Brownwood who was involved in the disturbance, had fled the scene and was later captured approximately two blocks away. Willis was charged with evading and resisting arrest and or detention, the report states. Upon further investigation, Willis also received an additional charge of assault offensive touch and unlawful restraint according to police. He was booked into the Brown County Jail without further incident, the report states.
*5:04 PM – Brownwood Police were called to the 1200 block of 1st Street regarding the burglary of a motor vehicle. According to the report, someone had stolen a money order from inside the vehicle during the overnight hours. The investigation is ongoing, the report states.
*11:12 PM- Brownwood Police were dispatched to the 200 block of Bluffview Drive regarding a domestic disturbance. According to the report, the male half of the disturbance was extremely intoxicated and recently in an argument with his wife. During the argument which was outside couple’s residence, a male resident from a residence across the street confronted the male involved in the domestic, resulting in the two men scuffling, the report states. Although the male involved in the disturbance stated he was not injured and he refused medical treatment, he did request a criminal trespass warning be issued to the male neighbor, according to police. The male subject was also intoxicated and refused to sign the warning, the report states.
*Brown County Sheriff’s Office arrested 30-year-old Michael Shaun Baldwin of Brownwood on warrants related to two counts of failure to maintain financial responsibility, two counts of no driver’s license, and defective head lamps.
*Texas Department of Public Safety arrested 39-year-old Jamith Burt Fraser of Odessa on warrants related to two counts of theft of property equal or greater than $20 less than $500, from Brown and Taylor Counties.
*Texas Department of Public Safety arrested 34-year-old Kristy Lee Jackson of Bangs for public intoxication.
*22-year-old Alexander Jose Martinez of Brownwood was arrested for a parole arrant and a surety withdrawal related to fraud destroy/removal/concealment.
*Texas Department of Public Safety arrested 18-year-old Jeron Tyrell Roberson of Brownwood on a warrant related to failure to appear/possession of marijuana less than 2 ounces.
Monday, September 1
*10:54 PM –Brown County Sheriff’s deputies were dispatched to a residence on Valley Vista Drive, Early, regarding domestic violence. According to the report, an investigation resulted in the arrest of 42-year-old Richard William Ray, Jr. of Early for assaulting a relative. The victim also requested an emergency protective order against Richard William Ray, Jr.
*6:53 PM – A Brown County Sheriff’s deputy arrived at a residence on CR 381 in Brownwood, regarding trespassing. The complainant stated his ex-husband came to the residence uninvited and that he did not want the ex-husband anywhere near his property. The complainant requested a trespass warning be issued.
*10:49 PM – A Brown County Sheriff’s deputy made a traffic stop on a vehicle for no head lights. The driver of the vehicle was identified as 21-year-old Orion Peters of Brownwood and the passenger was also identified, the report states. While speaking with Peters, he appeared very nervous and when the deputy asked him about his behavior, he stated that he did not have a valid driver’s license, according to the report. After gaining verbal consent to search the vehicle, the deputy found a marijuana cigarette in the inside door handle on the driver’s side of the vehicle and a plastic bag containing marijuana, the deputy reported. Peters stated that he had no knowledge of the marijuana in the vehicle but stated that he would accept responsibility for the marijuana, the report states. Peters was arrested and charged with possession of marijuana less than 2 ounces and on a Bexar County warrant for resisting arrest. The vehicle was released to the passenger, the report states.
*11:48 PM – Brownwood Police made a pedestrian stop on a female in the 1000 block of Avenue D. This stop led to the arrest of 33-year-old Tara Marie Holland of Brownwood for possession of a controlled substance penalty group 1 less than 1 gram in a drug free zone, according to the report.
*Brownwood Police arrested 28-year-old Justin Cody Musick of Early for manufacture delivery of a controlled substance penalty group 1 equal or greater than 4 grams less than 200 grams.
Tuesday, September 2
*Texas Parks and Wildlife department arrested 29-year-old Christopher Brian Boyd for possession of marijuana less than 2 ounces.
*Brownwood Police arrested 26-year-old Kolby Zane Holmes of Brownwood on a warrant related to theft of property equal or greater than $20 less than $500 by check.
*Texas Department of Public Safety arrested 50-year-old Robert Damon Sparks of Brownwood for driving while intoxicated.
