Monday, September 17
*11:45am-Brownwood Police were called to the 2300 block of Belle Plain regarding a check that was stolen from the complainant’s vehicle on August 30th. According to the report, the check has since been passed at a business in Coleman. The complainant does know the suspect and wishes to pursue charges, the report states.
*3:11pm-Brownwood Police met with a female complainant regarding an assault which had occurred in the 300 block of Bluffview the morning of September 17th. The female had a scrape on her left leg as well as light bruising of the knee. Suspect information was provided because the incident happened at another location, the report states. The investigation is underway.
*5:47pm-Brownwood Police were called to the 2200 block of Durham Avenue regarding criminal mischief. According to the report, a window on the complainant’s vehicle was damaged by an unknown suspect.
*7:43pm-Brownwood Police were dispatched to the 1300 block of Avenue A regarding criminal mischief. According to the report, a vehicle’s windshield appeared to have been shot and damaged by a BB gun. Suspects were identified, the report states.
Tuesday, September 18
*12:30am-Brownwood Police received a report of harassment in the 3700 block of Savoy. The complainant stated his ex-wife was harassing him via cell phone, the report states.
*4:53pm-Brownwood Police were called to the 1100 block of Riverside Drive regarding criminal mischief. According to the report, someone damaged a mailbox in front of the hotel.
*6:58pm-Brownwood Police were called to the 1100 block of Beaver regarding a young boy who was attacked by a dog.
*7:24pm-Brownwood Police were called to the 2000 block of Brady Avenue regarding the burglary of a vehicle. According to the report, a laptop, GPS unit and a Nike book bag were stolen from the vehicle.
*10:06pm-Brownwood Police made a traffic stop in the 500 block of 7th Street for defective license plate lamps. According to the report, the driver, identified as 43-year-old Gabriel Louis Hinojosa, was found to be driving the vehicle with a suspended Texas driver’s license and without insurance coverage on the vehicle. Hinojosa was arrested for driving while license invalid with no liability insurance.
Wednesday, September 19
*12:44am-Brownwood Police made a traffic stop in the 2000 block of Coggin Avenue. According to the report, this stop led to the arrest of the driver 22-year-old Royce Phillips for driving while intoxicated and passenger 17-year-old Juan Soria for possession of a prohibited weapon switchblade/brass knuckles.
