Friday, September 13
*9:06 AM – Brownwood Police were called to the 500 block of E. Commerce regarding theft. According to the report, the complainant stated that his checkbook had been stolen sometime between August 5th and August 27th of this year. Someone had cashed a check at Checks Plus without authorization, the report states. A complainant was named and the complainant wished to pursue charges, according to the report.
*9:22 AM – A Brown County Sheriff’s deputy was dispatched to the Brownwood Regional Medical Center emergency room regarding assault. According to the report, the victim stated that her husband had assaulted her on September 12th and 13th.
*10:48 AM – Brownwood Police were called to the 1000 block of W. Commerce regarding theft. According to the report, a male subject reported that his lawnmower had been stolen the previous day and that someone was mowing the lot next to Pickup Slickup with his lawnmower. The male subject mowing with the stolen lawn mower provided false information due to the fact that he believed he had a warrant for his arrest, the report states. This call led to the arrest of 27-year-old Dustin Wade Marlar for failure to identify fugitive intentionally gives false information and for five warrants out of Wichita County and another from Clay County.
*12:44 PM – Brownwood Police met with a complainant at the law enforcement center regarding theft. According to the report, an Apple iPad, valued at $800 was stolen during the incident, the report states.
*2:31 PM – Brownwood Police responded to the 400 block of Carnegie Street regarding theft. According to the report, $100 in cash had been stolen during the incident.
*Brown County Sheriff’s Deputies were dispatched to a residence on County Road 351 regarding trespassing.
*Brown County Sheriff’s Office arrested 20-year-old Joseph Hodges on a warrant for aggravated sexual assault of a child.
*Early Police arrested 45-year-old Kevin Jaggars for driving while intoxicated.
*20-year-old Christopher B. Rose turned himself in on a warrant related to failure to appear/theft of property equal or greater than $50 less than $500.
Saturday, September 14
* A Brown County Sheriff’s deputy was dispatched to a residence on Blarney Drive on Sunday, September 15th regarding a disturbance which had just occurred. According to the report, the victim advised that his ex-girlfriend had broken into his residence, assaulted him, and took his phone from him. Dispatch advised that the suspect had left the scene and was possibly headed back to an address on Duke Street, the report states. The complainant and his friend stated that the suspect, identified as Kailey Shanice Adams had broken into the residence by pushing an air conditioning window unit from the window, the report states. According to the complainant, Adams then began arguing, cursing and threatening them with physical violence. As the complainant attempted to call law enforcement, the suspect assaulted him, took his phone and fled the scene, the report states. It was apparent that the complainant had been assaulted, according to the deputy.
A BCSO investigator responded to the location on Duke Street where he located a woman matching the suspect’s description. Adams was arrested and charged with burglary habitation intend other felony; robbery; assault family violence, and interfere with emergency phone call.
*12:17 AM – Brownwood Police were dispatched to the 1500 block of 7th Street regarding a domestic disturbance. According to the report, police arrived to find a male lying on his back in the front yard. He stated that he was assaulted by a male suspect, later identified as 39-year-old Ricky Roy Truelock. The report states that Truelock got mad at the complainant for playing his video game rather than paying attention to him while he took his medications. Truelock became angry and decided to smash the television with his baseball bat; however, when he went to strike the television, the complainant jumped in front of him and the bat hit him in the top of the head, according to the report. When the complainant tried to reach for the bat, Truelock hit him again on top of his head, the report states. The fight continued physically resulting in both men being injured. After the struggle for the bat, Truelock became disoriented and went outside, falling to the ground, according to the complainant. Although the complainant did not wish to file criminal charges, Truelock was arrested, charged with aggravated assault date/family/household member with weapon, the report states.
*12:34 PM – Brownwood Police were called to the 2200 block of Austin Avenue regarding a hit and run. According to the report, a small SUV was damaged during a hit and run.
*12:59 PM – Brownwood Police were dispatched to the 1400 block of Austin Avenue regarding theft. According to the report, a female subject who was refusing to provide her name was being detained for theft. This call led to the female being issued a citation for theft less than $50. An earlier call regarding a reckless driver was also connected to the subject, identified as Michelle White. White was arrested for driving while intoxicated.
*3:26 PM – Brownwood Police were called to Wal-Mart regarding theft. According to the report, 51-year-old Theresa Huckaby and 23-year-old Carrie Thetford were arrested for theft equal or greater than $50 less than $500.
*3:49 PM – Brownwood Police responded to the 4100 block of 4th Street regarding an unwanted person. According to the report, the complainant named her ex-boyfriend as the suspect.
*4:31 PM – Brownwood Police were dispatched to the 900 block of Pecan Street regarding criminal mischief. According to the report, a large side window on the complainant’s passenger van was damaged. There were no known suspects at the time of the report, and the cost to repair the damage was estimated at $1000.
*6:16 PM – Brownwood Police were called to Wal-Mart regarding theft. According to the report, the responding officer arrived to find three juvenile females detained for theft. All three female juveniles were taken into custody and Brown County Juvenile Probation was notified. After processing, the three juveniles were released to their parents.
*6:31 PM – Brownwood Police were called to Wal-Mart regarding theft. According to the report, a female who had attempted to leave the store without paying for merchandise was being detained by store loss prevention employees. According to the report, the suspect, identified as 52-year-old Brenda Loraine Kilgore Salazar of Blanket, was arrested and charged with theft of property equal or greater than $50 less than $500 and criminal trespass.
*10:21 PM – Brownwood Police were dispatched to the 1500 block of Dublin Drive regarding an assault. According to the report, the complainant stated that her brother had assaulted another male. When the officer arrived, the suspect, identified as 32-year-old James Brandon Perry, had left the scene; however, he was soon located. Perry was noncompliant with officers, according to the report, and after an investigation was arrested charged with resist arrest, detention and/or transport, assault with bodily injury and assault by threat and/or offensive touch.
*A Brown County Sheriff’s deputy was dispatched to a property on County Road 233 regarding the theft of copper. According to the report, the complainant advised that an unknown suspect had stolen a compressor unit, for cooling mil, and approximately 20 feet of copper tubing. The suspect(s) left tools that were used to commit the crime on scene which were seized as evidence, the report states.
*Texas Department of Public Safety arrested 20-year-old Shelby Jo Bolfing of Waco for driving while under the influence/minor.
*Texas Department of Public Safety arrested 48-year-old Alvin Morant of Colorado Springs, Colorado for possession of a controlled substance penalty group 2 less than 1 gram and driving while license invalid.
*Texas Department of Public Safety arrested 24-year-old Daniel Shelley of Fort Worth for public intoxication.
*Early Police arrested 38-year-old Charlotte Ann Story of Coleman for driving while license invalid without insurance.
Sunday, September 15
*2:49 PM – Brownwood Police were called to the 2300 block of Carriage regarding criminal mischief and a subject criminally trespassing a habitation. According to the report, the complainant stated that her ex-boyfriend was the suspect and that an exterior French door valued at approximately $800 was damaged during the incident.
*7:58 PM – Brown County Sheriff’s deputy met with a complainant regarding an assault. According to the report, the complainant stated her boyfriend had assaulted her at his mother’s home located on County Road 411 in May, Texas.
*10:37 PM – Brownwood Police were called to the 1700 block of Good Shepherd regarding the theft of a cell phone.
*A Brown County Sheriff’s Deputy was dispatched to the report of criminal mischief at Jenkins Springs Cemetery. According to the report, an unknown person(s) damaged the gate to the cemetery.
*Brown County Sheriff’s Office arrested 37-year-old Mary Lou Hernandez for possession of marijuana less than 2 ounces in a drug free zone.
*Early Police arrested 42-year-old Peter Lance Herring of Early for driving while license invalid with previous convictions.
*Brown County Sheriff’s Office arrested 50-year-old Patrick Michael O’Connor on four warrants related to motion to revoke/driving while license invalid; failure to appear, driving while license suspended, and driving while license invalid.
*Brownwood Police arrested 49-year-old Ernesto Garcia Pesina for disregarding official traffic control device.
Monday, September 16
*12:12 AM – Brownwood Police were dispatched to a Brownwood residence regarding an alleged sexual assault of a child by a relative. An investigation is underway, the report states.
*A Brown County Sheriff’s deputy stopped a vehicle for a traffic violation. According to the report, the driver, identified as 40-year-old Jamie King of Abilene was arrested for driving while intoxicated due to the deputy having observed King under the influence of marijuana and his own admission to using marijuana prior to driving. A blood specimen was taken pursuant to a search warrant, the report states.
