Saturday, September 10

*4:34am-Brownwood Police responded to a burglary of a habitation in the 900 block of Crothers.  A possible suspect was provided and charges are being pursued, the report states.

Wednesday, September 14

*8:00pm-Brownwood Police were called to 401 W. Commerce regarding theft.  According to the report, a loss prevention employee had detained a woman, identified as 45-year-old Lammigje Strijk Morrison of Comanche, for shoplifting.  Investigation determined that Morrison had taken $60.32 worth of merchandise and attempted to walk out with the items concealed in her purse.  Morrison was arrested for Theft Greater Than $50 Less Than $500.

*10:32pm-Brownwood Police initiated a traffic stop in the 1000 block of Avenue I.  The driver, Michael Parks, was determined to have a suspended driver’s license for surcharge due for no insurance and he did not have any insurance on the vehicle at the time of the stop.  Parks was arrested for Driving While License Invalid.

*12:10pm-Brownwood Police were called to the 1700 block of Brady Avenue regarding theft.  According to the report, the complainant stated that an unknown subject stole a 10 foot section of 2 3/8 galvanized pipe from his front yard.  No suspect information was available at this time.

*7:49pm-Brownwood Police were dispatched to the 600 block of Melwood for a welfare check.  According to the report, a male subject was lying in a vacant lot near the intersection.  As a result of this call, 56-year-old Kenneth Carl Houser was arrested for public intoxication.

*Early Police arrested 36-year-old Brandon Paul Hogue of Mt. Vernon, Texas for Public Intoxication.

*Brown County Sheriff’s Office arrested 17-year-old Dominick Eddington on charges of Injury to a Child Family Violence.

Thursday, September 15

*9:42am-Brownwood Police were called to the 900 block of Belle Plain regarding theft.  This call led to the investigation of theft of trailers.  According to the report, a suspect was identified and the trailers have been located.

*2:20pm-Brownwood Police responded to the 1600 block of Wood Street regarding theft.  According to the complainant, old coins, including 5-6 sterling silver quarters and three 1940s dimes were missing.  There were numerous other coins that were of more value that were left in place.

*2:52pm-Brownwood Police were dispatched to the 2700 block of Southside Drive, regarding an assault.  Information on this call indicated that a female assaulted another female in the 300 block of N. Main Street, in the parking lot of Kroger.

*3:55pm-Brownwood Police responded to a call of found property in the 1500 block of Davis Lane.  According to the report, the apartment manager found a laptop computer in a ditch north of the complex.  The serial number of the computer was not legible and the computer was taken to the evidence room of Brownwood Police Department for safe keeping.

*3:58pm-Brownwood Police were dispatched to the 400 block of W. Commerce, Wal-Mart; where the asset protection officer of the store observed a woman, identified as Neva Mata, conceal several baby items in her purse.  Mata was arrested for Class B Theft ($50>$500)

*6:10pm-Brownwood Police were called to the Law Enforcement Center where they received a report of fraud.  According to the report, the complainant stated that unknown subjects were calling her and providing her with her own social security number and telling her that she needed to send them money.  The complainant believed the subjects to be Indian or Middle Eastern, the report states.

*6:40pm-Brownwood Police responded to the 3800 block of Countryside Drive regarding an unwanted person.  According to the report, the complainant stated that 42-year-old Tommy Lindley had forced his way into her residence while she was not present.  Upon investigation it was found that Lindley had not right to be inside the residence and was arrested for Criminal Trespass of a Habitation.

*6:45pm-Brownwood Police were called to the 1400 block of Austin Avenue regarding shoplifting.  Two girls, 18 and 20 years-old, were issued criminal trespass warnings for the property and the 18-year-old was issued a citation for theft less than $50, the report states.

*9:25pm-Brownwood Police were dispatched to the 400 block of W. Commerce Street regarding theft.  According to the report, the asset protection officer of Wal-Mart had detained a woman for shoplifting.   The woman was issued a citation for theft less than $50, then released and advised to leave the store.

Friday, September 16

*12:09am-A Brownwood Police officer made a traffic stop in the 500 block of E. Commerce.  Investigation determined the driver, 38-year-old Bryce Barton Harris to be intoxicated.  According to the report, Harris refused to give a blood specimen and a warrant was issued for such.  Harris was arrested for Driving While Intoxicated and taken to the Brownwood Regional Medical Center for the blood sample, then transported to the Brown County Jail.

All arrestees are considered innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
