Wednesday, September 14
*9:45 AM – Brownwood Police made a traffic stop in the 1200 block of Indian Creek Drive. According to the report, this stop led to the arrest of 39-year-old Charles Art Bishop of Brownwood for possession of a controlled substance penalty group 1 less than 1 gram.
*10:47 AM – Brownwood Police made a pedestrian stop on a male subject in an alleyway in the 2500 block of Belmeade Street. According to the report, during the stop, the officer discovered drug paraphernalia in the male subject’s possession. The male was issued a citation for possession of drug paraphernalia and released at the scene.
*11:20 AM – Brownwood Police were dispatched to the 300 block of E. Commerce regarding a hit and run accident. According to the report, a suspect has been identified and the incident was documented.
*8:18 PM – Brownwood Police were called to the 1200 block of Bailey Street. According to the report, a victim was located and transported by Lifeguard Ambulance to Brownwood Regional Medical Center.
*8:36 PM – A Brown County Sheriff’s deputy spoke with a complainant that stated he moved from his brother’s residence in Brown County and noticed his wallet was missing. A possible suspect, who is not his brother, was named.*A Brown County Sheriff’s deputy received a report of the theft of a 2012 red and white Honda XR-650L Enduro motorcycle from a property on Highway 279.
*Brown County Sheriff’s Office arrested 30-year-old Betti Leeann Hounshell of Brownwood on a warrant related to tamper with governmental record.
*Brownwood Police arrested 35-year-old Rafael Lara of Brownwood on a two warrants, one of which was related to injury to a child.
*43-year-old Holly Rudene Hudson McKee of Brownwood turned herself in on warrants related to motion to revoke/theft of property equal or greater than $50 less than $500 (Brown County), unauthorized absence community center (Tom Green County), and Motion to adjudicate of guilt possession of a controlled substance penalty group 1 less than 1 gram (McCullough County). McKee was later released on bonds totaling $22,500.
*Brown County Sheriff’s Office arrested 34-year-old Sean Christopher Riffey of Breckenridge, Texas on warrants related to two counts of failure to appear/possession of a controlled substance with intent to deliver in a drug free zone, and two surety withdrawals related to possession of a controlled substance with intent to deliver in a drug free zone. Riffey was being held in the Brown County Jail in lieu of bonds totaling $260,000 as of Thursday morning.

*2:22 AM – Brownwood Police were called to the 1700 block of Magnolia Street regarding a domestic disturbance. According to the report, this call led to the arrest of 24-year-old Bryan Dee Penn II of Brownwood for Class A assault with injury family violence.
*4:22 AM – Brownwood Police made a pedestrian stop in the area of Main Blvd and Walnut. According to the report, this stop led to the arrest of 24-year-old Tommy JohnWayne Clay of Brownwood for possession of a controlled substance penalty group 1 less than 1 gram in a drug free zone.
