Friday, September 12

*10:12 AM – Brownwood Police were called to the 400 block of Main Street regarding a burglary at the Candlestick Apartments.  According to the report, two complainants advised that an unknown suspect(s) broke into the complainants’ apartment and stole several items while they were away from home.

*10:16 AM – Brownwood Police were dispatched to the 1400 block of Waco Street regarding the theft of a firearm.  According to the report, the complainant stated that several firearms were missing from his residence.  No suspect information was available at the time of the call and the case is pending further investigation, the report states.

*10:55 AM – Brownwood Police were called to the 1800 block of Belle Plain regarding the burglary of a coin operated machine.  An unknown amount of coins were stolen, the report states.

*5:49 PM – Brownwood Police met with a complainant at the law enforcement center regarding a hit and run accident.  Through an investigation, a suspect has been identified, the report states.

*8:08 PM – Brownwood Police were dispatched to Walmart regarding theft.  According to the report, the complainant witnessed 38-year-old Mario Narro of Brownwood steal multiple items from the store.  Narro was arrested and charged with theft equal or greater than $50 less than $500.

*9:12 PM – Brown County Sheriff’s deputy responded to the report of the burglary of a habitation on County Road 267.  According to the report, between September 11th and 12th, entry had been made into a storage building and the main residence on the property, and several items were found to be missing.

*A Texas Parks and Wildlife game warden arrested 26-year-old Rose Gage Aulstin of Rochelle for possession of marijuana less than 2 ounces.

*The U.S. Marshall’s Office arrested 24-year-old Amanda Tingle of Brownwood on Midland County warrants related to possession of a controlled substance/violate probation and possession of marijuana less than 2 ounces.

Saturday, September 13

*2:49 AM – Brownwood Police were called to the 1100 block of Riverside Drive regarding a domestic disturbance.  This call led to the arrest of 44-year-old Charles Wayne Thompson of Odessa for assault causes bodily injury family violence, according to the report.

*4:09 AM – A Brown County Sheriff’s deputy, based on suspicion due to information received of a vehicle which would be coming through the area possibly transporting illegal narcotics, made traffic stop in the 1000 block of Hwy 183 North.  According to the report, the driver, identified as 37-year-old Dominic Ward was asked to exit the vehicle, acted very nervous and dropped something which was later determined to be a piece of rolled up toilet paper containing 2 small zip style baggies of methamphetamine.  The passenger identified as 39-year-old Mary Jean Harrell of Brownwood spoke to another deputy who arrived to assist and was also found to be in possession of a zip style bag in her left front pants pocket containing 4 1/2 prescription pills and a useable amount of marijuana, the report states.  Ward was charged with possession of a controlled substance (methamphetamine) with intent to deliver and tamper/fabricate physical evidence.  Harrell was charged with possession of a controlled substance (methamphetamine) with intent to deliver, tamper/fabricate physical evidence; possession of a controlled substance penalty group 3, and possession of marijuana less than 2 ounces.

*11:42 AM – Brownwood Police were dispatched to the 2000 block of W. Main Avenue regarding the theft of livestock.  According to the report, the complainant stated that he was missing several animals from a property located in the City of Brownwood and Brown County.  A possible suspect was named, the report states.

*3:20 PM – Brownwood Police were dispatched to the 2400 block of Southside Drive regarding criminal mischief.  According to the report, an unknown subject vandalized the complainant’s vehicle.

*3:21 PM – Brownwood police responded to the 2800 block of Southside regarding credit card abuse.

*5:14 PM – Brownwood Police were called to Walmart regarding theft.  According to the report, two females had stolen several items from a store in the area.  The females, identified as 19-year-old Cassandra Gonzales and 17-year-old  Engracia Perez (both of San Saba), were arrested for Class B theft, the report states.

*6:16 PM – Brownwood Police were called to the 1500 block of Terrace Drive regarding an unwanted person.

*7:22 PM – Brownwood Police were dispatched to the 1500 block of 8th Street regarding the burglary of a habitation and of a building.

*8:12 PM – Brownwood Police made a traffic stop in the area of Austin Avenue and Clark Street for failure to signal lane change.  According to the report, this stop led to the arrest of 33-year-old Forrest Lee Fragua of Brownwood for manufacture delivery of a controlled substance penalty group 1 less than 1 gram in a drug free zone and for tamper/fabricate physical evidence.  Fragua was being held in lieu of bonds totaling $20,000 as of Monday morning.

*10:54 PM – Brownwood Police made a traffic stop in the 600 block of Ash Street.  According to the report, the driver admitted to drinking alcoholic beverages and failed several field sobriety tests.  The driver, identified as 20-year-old Justin Thomas Moore of Brownwood, was arrested for driving while intoxicated.

*11:09 PM – Brownwood Police were dispatched to the 2500 block of N. Main Blvd. regarding trespassing.  According to the report, the homeowner wished for a relative to be issued a criminal trespass warning for her residence due to harassment.  The subject was issued the warning as requested, the report states.

*Brownwood Police arrested 35-year-old Monica Theodora Castaneda of Brownwood on a warrant theft from person.

*Brownwood Police arrested 21-year-old Jessica Dickey of Brownwood for resist arrest and interfere with public duties.

*Brownwood Police arrested 23-year-old Timothy James Savell of Brownwood on a Tom Green County warrant related to credit card abuse.

Sunday, September 14

*1:07 AM – Brownwood Police were dispatched to the 1000 block of W. Commerce regarding criminal mischief.  According to the report, the complainant stated that her sign had been damaged.  An investigation is ongoing, the report states.

*2:21 PM – Brownwood Police were called to the 2000 block of 13th Street regarding theft.  According to the report, the complainant allowed a friend to stay at his residence and when he left, the subject stole the complainant’s tool box and refused to return it.  The complainant wished to pursue criminal charges against the subject, the report states.

*10:56 PM – Brownwood Police were called to the area of Avenue C and Vine Street regarding a suspicious person.  According to the report, the officer met with three individuals who were huddled around two vehicles.  After interviewing the subjects, Sharon Larue Shaffer admitted she had “a point in her pocket” (a syringe of methamphetamine) and stated she had gotten it from Wendy Holster, the report states.  During a consent search of Holster’s vehicle, the officer also located a syringe and a plastic straw containing trace amounts of methamphetamine in a camouflage bag which was located in the back seat of the vehicle, which was in the presence of her child who was also in the vehicle, the report states. This call led to the arrest of 43-year-old Shaffer of Brownwood and Holster for possession of a controlled substance.  Holster was also charged with abandoning/endangering a child, the report states.  The child was released to her father, according to the report.

*Brownwood Police arrested 21-year-old Manuel Jesus Bermea of Littlefield, Texas for failure to maintain financial responsibility and on a warrant for failure to maintain financial responsibility.

*Brownwood Police arrested 42-year-old Jesse James Cortner of Brownwood on a parole warrant.

*22-year-old Leila Nicole Schulze of Brownwood turned herself in on a warrant related to motion to adjudicate/possession of a controlled substance penalty group 1 less than 1 gram in a drug free zone.

*Texas Department of Public Safety arrested 61-year-old Rafael Uballe of Brownwood for driving while intoxicated.

Monday, September 15

*Early Police arrested 21-year-old Dallas Burleson of Early for public intoxication.
