Law Enforcement arrests and reports released Wednesday, September 15, 2010
Thursday, September 9
*4:05pm-A Brownwood Police officer met with a complainant at the Law Enforcement Center regarding credit/debit card abuse. According to the report, $1214.44 was stolen from the complainant’s bank account. No suspect information was available and no arrests had been made at the time of the report.
*5:08pm-Brownwood Police were called to the 1500 block of Terrace Drive regarding theft and criminal mischief. An officer spoke with the complainant and determined an antenna had been stolen from a vehicle and that paint had either been sprayed or transferred onto the vehicle the report states.
Monday, September 13
*9:10am-A Brownwood Police officer spoke with a complainant at the Law Enforcement Center regarding fraudulent use/possession of identifying information. According to reports, someone had opened an Atmos Energy account in the complaint’s name. There is an outstanding debt on the account of $103.09 the report states. Complainant identified a possible suspect; however, no arrest had been made at the time of the report.
*2:56pm-Brownwood Police were dispatched to the 1300 block of Austin Avenue regarding an unwanted person at a local business, which led to a subject being issued a Criminal Trespass Warning according to police reports.
*4:17pm-A Brownwood Police officer met with a woman at the Law Enforcement Center regarding theft. According to the report, the victim stated that someone had stolen the front license plate from her vehicle. No suspect has been named.
*4:20pm-A Brownwood Police officer was called to the Brownwood Regional Medical Center parking lot regarding burglary of a vehicle. Upon arrival, the officer met with the complainant who reported two backpack commercial blowers were stolen out of his company truck the report states. No suspect information is available at this time. The investigation is ongoing.
*4:58pm-A Brownwood Police officer was called to the Brownwood Regional Medical Center emergency room regarding a male that had been assaulted. According to the report, the officer spoke to the male who stated that he was walking to work and decided to stop in Allsup’s to get a drink when a vehicle drove up and four males got out of the vehicle and “jumped” him, striking him with a handgun. During the assault, $700 in cash and a check for $500 were stolen from the victim the report states. A suspect has been named; however no arrests have been made at the time of the report. A warrant for Aggravated Assault will be sought against the suspect according to police reports.
*10:38pm-Brownwood Police were called to the 400 block of 2nd Street regarding a hit and run. Investigation yielded no suspect information at this time.
*11:24pm-Brownwood Police were dispatched to a local hotel in the 500 block of East Commerce regarding the burglary of a vehicle. According to the report, officers arrived and met with the complainant who stated her backpack style purse had been stolen out of her vehicle when she was at a local bar in the 900 block of Riverside Drive earlier in the evening. No suspect information was available at the time of the report.
*Brown County Sheriff’s Office arrested 25-year-old Fletcher Nathaniel Liggin for Theft of Property and an outstanding warrant.
Tuesday, September 14
*2:25pm-A Brownwood Police officer met with a woman at the Law Enforcement Center regarding a male subject exposing himself at a local apartment complex. According to the report, the complainant stated that the male exposed his “butt cheeks” to her. As of this time, there is no criminal offense but the complainant requested a report be filed because she feared the subject would retaliate against her.
All arrestees are innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
