Monday, September 12

*10:22 AM – Brownwood Police were called to the 800 block of W. Commerce regarding the theft of a bicycle.

*5:42 PM – Brownwood Police received a report via telephone of the theft of a cell phone.

*9:24 PM – Brownwood Police were dispatched to a residence on Brady Avenue regarding a domestic disturbance.  According to the report, a male victim stated he was assaulted by his girlfriend.  The male later recanted his claim of the assault and stated he did not wish to pursue charges against the suspect.

*Brown County Sheriff’s Office received a report from a complainant that a former renter removed a washer and dryer from the rent house when he was evicted recently, the report states.  The washer and dryer is valued at $125.00, according to the report.

*Brown County Sheriff’s Office received a report of theft.  According to the report, the complainant had signed a contract with a construction company, a Missouri Corporation, to build a house.  According to the report, the complainant paid the company’s representative $12,600 at the time the contract was signed.  The agreement called for payment for all materials, which the complainant has paid, along with 9 payments of $7842 for labor costs, the report states.  The complainant states that the company has not completed the house as agreed upon and that he is out $251,000 total, according to the deputy’s report.  The complainant was referred to the Sheriff’s Office by the District Attorney’s Office, the report states.

 

*10:01 PM – A Brown County Sheriff’s deputy was patrolling the 1100 block of Morris Street when he observed a 1985 Ford Crown Victoria parked facing traffic. According to the report, the deputy contacted the driver, identified as 19-year-old Kolton Reeves of Early.  Reeves stated he had parked the vehicle there and a search of the vehicle was conducted, the report states.  Cocaine was located in the vehicle, which belonged to Reeves, and he was subsequently arrested for possession of controlled substance penalty group 1 less than 1 gram, according to the deputy’s report.

*10:09 PM – A Brown County Sheriff’s deputy made a traffic stop on a vehicle for speeding in about the 15000 block of Highway 279.  According to the report, this stop resulted in the arrest of the driver, identified as 26-year-old Destinee Hood of Brownwood, for driving while license invalid with previous conviction.  Hood was additionally charged with resisting arrest, search or transport when she began to actively resist restraints while in custody.

*Brown County Sheriff’s Office arrested 21-year-old Zackary Ryan Byram of Brownwood for tamper/fabricate physical evidence and possession of marijuana greater than 2 ounces less than or equal to 4 ounces.

*Brown County Sheriff’s Office arrested 20-year-old Claude Murphey of Abilene, Texas on a warrant related to no driver’s license when unlicensed – not CDL.

*Brownwood Police arrested 33-year-old Kimberly Dawn Rogers of Santa Anna, Texas for theft of property equal or greater than $100 less than $750 and on a warrant related to credit card or debit card abuse.

Tuesday, September 13

*Brownwood Police arrested 20-year-old Brandon Lynn Buffington of Brownwood for warrants related to possession of drug paraphernalia and violate promise to appear.

*The Brownwood City Marshal arrested 44-yearold Wanda Ann Roe of Brownwood on two municipal warrants.
