Monday, September 3

*5:39pm-Brownwood police met with a complainant at the Law Enforcement Center regarding harassment that occurred from June through August.  An investigation is underway, the report states.

Tuesday, September 4

*8:21am-Brownwood Police were called to the 3000 block of Avenue D regarding a burglary.  An investigation is ongoing, the report states.

*1:48pm-Brownwood Police were dispatched to the 1500 block of Davis Lane regarding theft.  According to the report, a handicap license plate was stolen from a vehicle.  The exact time and location of the theft were not known; however the complainant believed the offense occurred in the afternoon of September 3.

*1:48pm-Brownwood Police responded to the 600 block of Avenue A regarding animal cruelty.  According to the report, a dog was found with a neck injury that needed medical attention.  Options were provided to the dog’s owner who stated that the dog had sustained the injuries during a dog fight.  Photos for a follow up regarding the incident were taken.

Friday, September 7

*12:02pm-Brownwood Police were called to the 1500 block of Davis Lane regarding a damaged vending machine from which bills were taken.  According to the report, there was some damage to the coin changer during this burglary and the estimated loss of money and damage is approximately $300.  The offense was believed to have occurred between August 28th and September 3rd and no suspect information was available at the time of the report.

*2:56pm-Brownwood Police made a traffic stop in the area of 4th Street and Indian Creek for a seatbelt violation.  The driver of the vehicle, identified as 37-year-old Chadwick Ray Jones, was arrested for driving while license invalid with no insurance.

*4:11pm-Brownwood Police received a report of theft of $1000 which occurred in November of 2011 from a local hotel.  A suspect has been named; however no arrest has been made.

*6:34pm-Brownwood Police responded to the 1100 block of Duke Street regarding a terroristic threat.  According to the report, the complainant stated he was threatened by his brother-in-law and wanted to pursue charges.  A criminal trespass warning was issued to the brother-in-law at the request of the complainant.

*7:09pm-Brownwood Police were dispatched to the 2500 block of Coggin Avenue regarding a noise nuisance complaint.  According to the report, upon the officer’s arrival, he could hear loud music and smell the odor of marijuana coming from the residence.  55-year-old Larry Westerman and 20-year-old Blade Williams were both arrested for possession of marijuana less than 2 ounces.  Westerman was additionally charged for tampering with physical evidence.  The remaining subjects on scene were advised to keep the music down.

*8:44pm-Brownwood Police were called to the 1200 block of Beaver Street regarding a follow up of a dog bite.  According to the report, the complainant had the dog tags and the bite occurred within the city.  The victim had numerous puncture marks and lacerations to his arms, hands, legs and face, the report states.  After speaking with the victim and owner of the dog, the animal was taken by an animal control officer to the animal shelter until the investigation is complete.

*11:33pm-Brown County Sheriff’s deputy arrested 56-year-old Ismael Herrera of Hillsboro for driving while intoxicated after he was stopped for failure to maintain a single lane and found to be intoxicated with an open container in his vehicle.  A search warrant was obtained for a blood specimen for evidence the report states.

*11:42pm-Brownwood Police were called to the 1500 block of Magnolia regarding an accident involving a pickup truck that struck a utility pole.  According to the report, the driver, identified as 51-year-old Keith King, was found to be intoxicated.  King was arrested for driving while intoxicated.

*Brownwood Police arrested 21-year-old Joseph Ray Burns for Unauthorized Use of a Vehicle.

Saturday, September 8

*3:00pm-Brownwood Police were called to the 500 block of E. Commerce regarding an unwanted person.  After further investigation, 74-year-old Ardeth Ann Bernal of Tuscon, AZ, was arrested for Criminal Trespass.

*7:57pm-Brownwood Police were dispatched to the 100 block of E. Commerce, CVS Pharmacy, regarding theft.  According to the report, an employee stated that a known female entered the store and stole several items of merchandise.  No arrest was made at the time of the incident.

*9:08am-Brown County Sheriff’s deputy was called to a property on County Road 294 regarding missing livestock.  According to the report, three head of cattle are missing from the property which are valued at approximately $1000 each.

*10:09pm-Brownwood Police responded to the 900 block of Riverside Drive regarding an accident.  According to the report, a vehicle struck a parked vehicle as it was attempting to leave the bar.  The driver of the vehicle, 52-year-old Isaac Mendoza, Jr., was found to be intoxicated and was arrested for driving while intoxicated.

*10:35pm-Brown County Sheriff’s Office were dispatched to the area of Avenue C and CR 234 regarding a possible fight in progress.  According to the report, as the deputy arrived, a suspect began to flee, however, was located and detained.  Because of his flight upon seeing law enforcement and his being intoxicated, the male identified as 29-year-old Edward Salazar was arrested for public intoxication and resisting arrest/search/transport.

*Early Police arrested 22-year-old Barrett Allen Audilet for theft of property less than $50, enhanced.

*Early Police arrested 22-year-old Dalton Deleon for theft of property more than $50 less than $500.

*Early Police Department arrested 21-year-old Kyle Evan Kemp for theft of property greater than $50 less than $500.

Sunday, September 9

*3:49am-Brownwood Police made a traffic stop on Early Blvd for driving into oncoming traffic, left of the center median.  According to the report, the driver, identified as 20-year-old Chad Allan Wittke of Blanket was acting nervous and upon a consent search of the vehicle, a bottle containing 15 Alprazolam was found.  Wittke was placed under arrest for possession of a controlled substance penalty group 3 less than 28 grams.

*9:45am-Brownwood Police were called to the 300 block of Bluffview regarding the burglary of a vehicle.  According to the report, the complainant stated that someone had entered her vehicle and stole the radio out of her unlocked vehicle which also had the ignition keys left in it overnight.  She told police that she has been “too trusting and will not make that mistake anymore.”  The radio was valued at approximately $125.  Possible suspects were named; however, no arrest was made at the time of the report.

*12:00pm-A Brownwood Police officer made a traffic stop in the 1900 block of Belmeade for defective brake lamps.  The stop led to the arrest of the driver of the vehicle, identified as 57-year-old Marian Snyder Pirkle, for driving while license invalid with previous convictions.

*1:09pm-Brownwood Police were dispatched to 401 W. Commerce regarding a hit and run accident in the parking lot of Wal-Mart.  A suspect vehicle has possibly been identified and the investigation is ongoing according to the report.

*1:09pm-Brownwood Police were called to the 100 block of Miller Drive, Brownwood Nursing and Rehab, regarding theft.  An investigation is ongoing, the report states.

*1:23pm-Brownwood Police were called to the 900 block of Avenue B regarding a domestic disturbance.  According to the report, a trespass warning was issued to a subject and it was determined that no offense took place.

*10:52pm-Brownwood Police were called to the 300 block of Bluffview Drive regarding an accident.  Communications advised officers that a vehicle drove over the curb an appeared to have struck something.  The vehicle was partially off of the roadway and appeared to have recently been involved in an accident.  The driver of the vehicle was found to be impaired after inhaling volatile chemicals from an aerosol can.  The driver was transported to the Brownwood Regional Medical Center.

*Early Police arrested 19-year-old Joshua Wayne Dyess for driving while intoxicated.

*Brown County Sheriff’s Office arrested 44-year-old David Michael Jones of Blanket for Assault Causes Bodily Injury Family Violence.

*Texas Department of Public Safety arrested 32-year-old David Trooper Long, Jr. of Goldthwaite for driving while intoxicated.

* Texas Department of Public Safety arrested 36-year-old Daniel Moncrief, Jr. of Fort Worth for Possession of a Controlled Substance Penalty Group 1 less than 1 gram.

*Early Police arrested 23-year-old Chase Arron Nichols for Public Intoxication and an outstanding warrant.
