Monday, August 2
*6:12pm, Brownwood Police responded to Coggin Park regarding disorderly conduct. The female victim told police that her ex-boyfriend’s new girlfriend assaulted her. A follow-up was made and the police said that they determined that it was a case of mutual combat.
*Brown County Sheriff’s office received a report of a terroristic threat of a woman by cell phone.
Friday, August 6
*Brownwood Police were dispatched to the 100 block of Carnegie (Citizens National Bank) in reference to a possible charge of hindering secured creditors. The bank reported that someone who was issued a loan was hiding the collateral and preventing the bank from seizing the property. Police are investigating.
*Brown County Sheriff’s office received a report of stolen fishing equipment. The victim said that when he was stopped at a convenience store on Belle Plain, someone stole 5 rod and reels out of his boat.
*Brown County Sheriff’s office responded to investigate a home burglary in the Julia Courts area of Bangs. Several items were reported stolen.
*11:31am, Brownwood Police received a report of a stolen laptop.
*6:46pm, Brownwood Police were called to the Wal-Mart parking lot with a report of two women fighting. Police reports state that they observed two female subjects with injuries for which Guardian EMS was called. After an investigation was conducted, police determined that the two women were roommates. One subject, identified as 19-year-old Ashia Andrea Lewis of Bangs, sustained minor injuries that did not need medical attention the police reports states. She was arrested and charged with Aggravated Assault Family Violence with a Weapon. Reports state that the second subject was taken to the hospital with severe injuries. Police say that a warrant for her arrest will be sought related to family violence.
Saturday, August 7
*Brown County Sheriff’s office arrested 86-year-old Author Ford for Assault Family Violence.
*1:40pm, Brownwood Police were called to the 2300 block of 14th Street regarding a hit-and-run of a child on a bike.
*1:58am, Brown County Sheriff’s office and Texas DPS responded to a report of a person huffing spray paint in a field on FM 3254. Officers recovered evidence at the scene and transported the suspect, 36-year-old Fabian Gomez, to Brownwood Regional Medical Center and then to the Brown County Jail. Gomez was arrested for Inhalant Abuse.
*3:24am, Brownwood Police conducted a traffic stop which led to the arrest of 23-year-old Thomas Johnson who was charged with DWI.
*4:05pm, Brownwood Police were called to the corner of Crothers and Hendricks regarding a hit-and-run accident. The suspect vehicle struck another vehicle, causing heavy damage, and fled the scene. Police are investigating.
*11:01pm, Brownwood Police conducted a traffic stop in the 800 block of Avenue B. The passenger was identified as 32-year-old Shawn Lee Davidson of Brownwood. He was charged with Terroristic Threat of a Public Servant, Obstruction Retaliation, and Public Intoxication.
*Early Police arrested 28-year-old Joe Vasquez IV for DWI.
Sunday, August 8
*Early Police arrested 32-year-old Christopher Baker for DWI.
*Brownwood Police responded to a report of a house burglary in the 2800 block of Southside.
*3:59am, Brownwood Police were called to the 400 block of E. Commerce (Whataburger) regarding a hit-and-run. The complainant advised police that an unknown suspect in a pickup hit his vehicle and fled the scene. Police searched the area but were unable to find the suspect vehicle.
*4:00am, while officers investigated a report of a hit-and-run, Brownwood Police were flagged down at the 400 block of E. Commerce (Whataburger) where there was a report of disorderly suspects in the drive-thru. As a result of the call, Police arrested 27-year-old Amber Nacoli Carbajal and 25-year-old Lacie Renee Hayes, both of May, and subsequently they were charged with Public Intoxication.
*9:03am, Brownwood Police were called to the 1400 block of Coggin regarding a broken front glass door.
*11:50am, Brown County Sheriff’s office investigated theft of a 4-wheeler on County Road 456. Investigators recovered the vehicle and have identified three suspects.
*12:56am, Brownwood Police were dispatched to the intersection of Austin Avenue and Avenue W regarding a possible intoxicated person. Police reports indicate that they found a suspect in possession of Hydrocodone, Codeine, and Prescription Tylenol. Police arrested 29-year-old Troy Earl Crouch Jr. of Brownwood. He was charged with three counts of Possession of a Controlled Substance, Penalty Group 3 < 28 grams and Public Intoxication.
*3:40pm, Brownwood Police responded to a domestic disturbance in the 2600 block of Temple. The victim reported being assaulted by her husband.
*4:03pm, Brownwood Police received a report of stolen tools in the 1200 block of Beaver St.
*4:15pm, Brownwood Police received a report of a possible theft of a firearm. The complainant described the stolen gun and said that it was stolen from his room at a local hotel.
*5:27pm, Brown County Sheriff’s office responded to a 4-wheeler accident on County Road 305. The report states that the female victim attempted to drive her 4-wheeler up the side of a creek bed when it rolled over on top of her. The victim suffered a possible head injury, broken femur, fractured pelvis, and dislocated hip. She was taken to Brownwood Regional Medical Center where they planned to transport her to a hospital in Abilene via helicopter the report states. The officer noted that the victim had no memory of the accident and seemed disoriented.
*6:31pm, Brownwood Police were called to apartments in the 1600 block of Melwood regarding an assault. The victim told police that her ex-boyfriend was harassing her and would not leave her alone.
*6:50pm, Brownwood Police were called to the 300 block of Bluffview regarding criminal mischief. The victim reported that someone broke the front door of her apartment by kicking and beating it.
*Texas DPS arrested 30-year-old Regina Kay Perrie of Brownwood for Driving While License Invalid.
All arrestees are innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
