Friday, August 5

*8:11 PM – A Brown County Sheriff’s deputy observed a vehicle with expired registration in the 2800 block of Belle Plain Street.  According to the report, the vehicle was stopped and a consent search was granted which located methamphetamine in a cup inside the vehicle. The passenger, identified as 54-year-old Tony Scott Earp of Brownwood, was arrested for possession of a controlled substance penalty group 1 equal or greater than 1 gram less than 4 grams.

*8:30 AM – Brownwood Police were called to the 1700 block of 3rd Street regarding the burglary of a habitation.

*1:04 PM – Brownwood Police were dispatched to the 4200 block of US Hwy 377 South regarding the theft of a motor vehicle.  According to the report, a gold Chevy Suburban had been repossessed due to nonpayment and later the vehicle was reported to have been taken by the lessee.

*2:50 PM – Brownwood Police responded to the 2500 block of Vincent Street regarding the burglary of a building.  According to the report, a wooden cooler and a shop vacuum were stolen from the building sometime between 1 PM on August 4th and 1:30 PM on August 5th.

*3:29 PM – Brownwood Police were dispatched to the 2800 block of Southside Drive regarding drug/narcotics.  According to the report, an investigation led to the discovery of a quantity of marijuana and methamphetamine.  As a result of this call, 50-year-old Valarie Lynn Woodworth Waller of Brownwood was arrested and charged with possession of marijuana less than 2 ounces in a drug free zone and 59-year-old Nicolia Ann Summers of Brownwood was arrested for possession of marijuana less than 2 ounces in a drug free zone and possession of a controlled substance penalty group 1 less than 1 gram in a drug free zone.

*8:47 PM – Brownwood Police were dispatched to the 2000 block of Slayden Street regarding an assault.  According to the report, the victim had left prior to officers’ arrival.

*Brown County Sheriff’s Office arrested 45-year-old Bryan Thomas Duke of Brownwood on warrants related to no fishing license and violate promise to appear.

*The Brownwood City Marshal arrested 21-year-old Matthew Dylan Rudloff of Brownwood on a warrant related to sexual assault of a child.  Rudloff was later released on $25,000 bond.

Saturday, August 6

*4:13 AM – Brownwood Police were called to a business in the 500 block of E. Commerce regarding disorderly conduct.  According to the report, an intoxicated male was reported to have broken out a window and was bleeding.  The male was located and later transported to the Brownwood Regional Medical Center emergency room for treatment, the report states.  While at the ER, the male subject, identified as 26-year-old Matthew Maxwell of Wichita Falls, Texas, refused treatment and began yelling profanities, according to police.  He was subsequently arrested and charged for criminal mischief equal or greater than $100 less than $750, disorderly conduct and public intoxication.

*7:49 AM – Brownwood Police responded to the 2800 block of Southside Drive regarding the unauthorized use of a motor vehicle.

*2:00 PM – Brownwood Police were called to the 100 block of Bowie Circle regarding a welfare check.  As a result of the call, 36-year-old Mandy Dybas of Brownwood, was arrested for driving while intoxicated and a blood draw was completed at BRMC.

*3:15 PM – Brownwood Police were dispatched to the 1500 block of Avenue A regarding a hit and run accident.  According to the report, a vehicle and a trailer were damaged during the incident.  A description was given of the suspect vehicle, which was not located at the time of the report.  The suspect later returned to the scene and gave the victim insurance information, the report states.  The victim no longer wished to pursue criminal charges or file a crash report, the report states.

*9:16 PM – Brownwood Police were called to the 600 block of W. Commerce regarding.  This call led to the arrest of 57-year-old Samuel Lynn Baumgardner of Notrees, Texas for driving while intoxicated.

*A Brown County Sheriff’s deputy assisted an Early Police officer who made a traffic stop, on Live Oak Street in Early, on a vehicle for a broken tail-light.  According to the report, the deputy had received information from another officer regarding the occupants of the vehicle allegedly being in possession of a controlled substance.  The driver, identified the driver as 31-year-old Jacob Dwanye Hounshell of Brownwod, admitted to the officer that he had a glass pipe in his front pocket, the report states.  The glass pipe had a white powdery substance which field tested positive for methamphetamine.  Hounshell was subsequently arrested for possession of a controlled substance penalty group 1.

*Brownwood Police arrested 32-year-old Ryne Matthew Mahoney of Weatherford, Texas on a Parker County warrant related to evading arrest detention with vehicle.

*A Texas Parks and Wildlife Department game warden arrested Andrew Marquez of Early for driving while intoxicated 2nd.

*Texas Department of Public Safety arrested 43-year-old Jimmy Carlton Twomey of Brownwood on a warrant related to failure to appear/hearing regarding motion for enforcement.

*26-year-old Alyshia Michelle Winstead of Brownwood turned herself in on a warrant related to a probation violation/aggravated robbery.

Sunday, August 7

*12:04 AM – Brownwood Police were dispatched to the 800 block of 6th Street for an accident involving a vehicle striking a house.  According to the report, no one in the home was injured.  The driver of the vehicle, identified as 35-year-old Christopher Ray Buitron of Brownwood, stated he had lost control of the vehicle and appeared intoxicated and failed standard field sobriety tests, the officers reported.  The officer reported that an investigation determined that Buitron had most likely ran a stop sign before striking a vehicle and a mailbox located in the 1700 block of Avenue A.

*8:37 AM – Brownwood Police were dispatched to the 4200 block of US Hwy 377 South regarding the burglary of a vehicle.  According to the report, a cell phone and its case were stolen from the vehicle but later recovered during another criminal investigation and returned to the victim.

*12:24 PM – Brownwood Police were called to the 400 block of W. Commerce regarding the theft of a barbeque grill from the business.

*3:46 PM – Brownwood Police were called to the 2300 block of Magnolia regarding suspicious activity.  According to the report, three males were walking in a local apartment complex parking lot checking door handles on vehicles.  The subjects got into a dark colored sports car and left the scene, the report states.

*12:24 PM – Brownwood Police were investigating a theft in the 400 block of W. Commerce and also received a complaint regarding public lewdness.

*5:20 PM – A Brown County Sheriff’s deputy was dispatched to County Road 198 regarding a physical domestic disturbance.  According to the report, there were no observed injuries to the victim and no arrests were made at the time of the report; however, a suspect was named.

*7:17 PM – Brownwood Police were called to the 1200 block of Avenue A regarding the burglary of a vehicle.  According to the report, a purse, personal identification and a bank card were stolen from the vehicle.

*Early Police arrested 24-year-old Kimberly Allen of Brownwood for disorderly conduct.

*Brownwood Police arrested 21-year-old Ramon Alvarado, Jr. of San Angelo, Texas for possession of a controlled substance penalty group 2 less than 1 gram in a drug free zone.

*Brownwood Police arrested 17-year-old Jose Angel Blancas of San Angelo, Texas for fraudulent use of identifying information, possession of marijuana less than 2 ounces and possession of drug paraphernalia.

*Brownwood Police arrested 31-year-old Kyle Carter of Brownwood on a Weatherford County warrant related to theft of property.

*Brownwood Police arrested 20-year-old Hector Mauel Gatica of San Anglo, Texas for possession of a controlled substance penalty group 2 less than 1 gram in a drug free zone and possession of marijuana in a drug free zone.

*Early Police arrested 33-year-old Mary Ratliff of Gustine, Texas for disorderly conduct.

*A Texas Parks and Wildlife Department game warden arrested 32-year-old Brad Weldon Tucker of Goldthwaite, Texas on a Gillespie County warrant related to failure to appear/driving while license invalid.

*A Texas Parks and Wildlife Department game warden arrested 21-year-old Sherryann Wheeler of Early for driving while intoxicated.

*Texas Department of Public Safety arrested 41-year-old John Michael Yensel of Austin, Texas for possession of a controlled substance penalty group 2 equal or greater than 4 grams less than 400 grams and possession of marijuana less than 2 ounces.
