Monday, August 5
*Brown County Sheriff’s Office received a report of a stolen license plate. According to the report, the license plate had been stolen off of a trailer located on a property on Shamrock Drive.
Wednesday, August 7
*4:51 AM – Brownwood Police were dispatched to the 2400 block of Greenway Drive regarding the burglary of a vehicle. According to the report, the burglary had just occurred and an unknown male was seen running east from the residence.
*10:03 AM – Brownwood Police were called to the 1300 block of Avenue H regarding theft. According to the report, 2, 242 gallons of treated water were stolen from the City of Brownwood. According to water department officials, this amount is equal to approximately the average usage of a two person household over one month.
*7:41 PM – Brownwood Police met with a complainant at the law enforcement center regarding alleged child abuse/neglect. According to the report, the complainant advised that he believed a 3-year-old child was being repeatedly burned with cigarettes by her father. The complainant reported seeing a blister on the child’s hand, as well as other sores that appeared to be healing burn marks, located on the child’s legs and arms, the report states. A referral was made to Child Protective Services for further investigation of the matter, according to the report.
*9:27 PM – Brownwood Police were dispatched to the 500 block of 6th Street regarding a burglary. According to the report, the complainant stated that an unknown suspect entered his yard and stole several personal items including military uniforms.
*Brown County Sheriff’s deputies responded to a residence on Killarney Drive regarding terroristic threat. This call led to the arrest of 56-year-old Doyle Dow Stidman for terroristic threat along with retaliation.
*A Brown County Sheriff’s deputy responded to a property on River Run Drive regarding the burglary of a building. According to the report, the complainant stated that someone had burglarized his storage building and taken a black and red Honda 8500 generator and three pair of Kelly spurs were missing.
*A Brown County Sheriff’s deputy responded to County Road 423 regarding the theft of a motor vehicle. According to the report, the complainant stated that his son had left in the vehicle without permission and that he was concerned for his welfare due to several health issues the son suffers from.
*Brown County Sheriff’s Office arrested 19-year-old Ceairra Dawn Moore of May for possession of marijuana less than 2 ounces.
