Monday, August 4
*A Brown County Sheriff’s Deputy was advised of three small fires burning on Country Road 317, while en route to the area, the deputy heard that fire crews were on scene and had put the fires out. The deputy was advised of a suspicious white pickup with a spotlight on the top of it, which had left the scene just as the fires had started the report states. The deputy was unable to locate the vehicle in the area, according to the report.
Tuesday, August 5
*A Brown County Sheriff’s deputy responded to a call regarding possible animal cruelty. According to the report, the deputy investigated and found the horses in question were provided with food, water and shelter.
Wednesday, August 6
*2:37 PM – Brownwood Police were called to the 1800 block of 6th Street regarding an assault. According to the report, the male complainant stated that he was assaulted by his ex-spouse. The male stated that he wanted to see his son and started to take pictures of his son, and his ex-spouse allegedly attacked him.*8:27 PM – Brownwood Police were dispatched to the 2200 block of Crockett Drive, Cen-Tex Soccer Complex, regarding a burglary of a building. According to the report, a propane grill (valued at $200) had been stolen and an estimated $300 in damage was caused by criminal mischief which had occurred. The complainant wished to pursue charges if a suspect is identified.
*11:40 PM – Brownwood Police were called to the 500 block of W. Commerce Street regarding an accident in the Taco Bell drive-thru line. According to the report, after the officer conducted an investigation, Jason Williams was arrested for driving while intoxicated.
*Brown County Sheriff’s Office attempted to make a traffic stop on a vehicle for speeding. According to the report, as the deputy turned onto Poindexter, the two occupants of the vehicle fled on foot. The passenger was identified as 25-year-old Juan Alberto Zuniga of Brownwood and was apprehended on 1st Street. The driver was identified; however, he was not able to be apprehended and a warrant was being sought for his arrest. Zuniga was charged with evading arrest/detention and public intoxication.
*Brown County Sheriff’s Office arrested 43-year-old Kevin Wayne Boykin of Bangs on warrants related to indecency with a child. Boykin was held in the Brown County Jail on bonds totaling $100,000 as of Thursday morning.
*Brown County Sheriff’s Office arrested 57-year-old Sixto Esquivel Delacruz of Waco on a warrant related to assault causes bodily injury family violence.
*Brown County Sheriff’s Office arrested 26-year-old Alan Leroy Everett of Brownwood on a warrant related to assault family violence.
*20-year-old Juan Israel Hernandez turned himself in on a warrant related to theft of property equal or greater than $500 less than $1500.
*22-year-old Malissa Lauren Karnes of May turned herself in on a warrant related to accident involving damage to a vehicle equal or less than $200.
*Early Police arrested 24-year-old James Lee Kinsey of Brownwood for possession of marijuana less than 2 ounces and a Burnet County warrant related to failure to appear/possession of marijuana less than 2 ounces.
*Texas Department of Public Safety arrested 51-year-old Terrie Tabor Lemmons of Brownwood for possession of a dangerous drug.
*Brown County Sheriff’s Office arrested 33-year-old Brandi Marie Spivey of Blanket on a warrant related to failure to appear/motion to adjudicate/burglary of a building. Spivey is being held at the Brown County Jail in lieu of a $30,000 bond.
Thursday, August 7
*Brown County Sheriff’s Office arrested 27-year-old Daren Michael Klutts of Mullin on a warrant related to motion to revoke driving while intoxicated 2nd.
*Brownwood Police arrested 29-year-old Julian Allen Staggs of Early on warrants related to possession of drug paraphernalia and motion to revoke/community supervision driving while intoxicated (Callahan County).
*Brownwood Police arrested 26-year-old Jason Wayne Williams of Coleman for driving while intoxicated.
