Tuesday, July 30
*5:12 PM – Brownwood Police were dispatched to the 4400 block of U.S. Hwy 377 South regarding the burglary of a vehicle. According to the report, the complainant stated that her unsecured vehicle had been burglarized while she was parked at Hastings. A camouflage backpack containing miscellaneous female clothes and medications were taken from the vehicle, the report states.
Friday, August 2
*6:50 PM – Brownwood Police were called to the 300 block of Bluffview Drive regarding the theft of a bicycle.
*8:43 PM – Brownwood Police were dispatched to the 2200 block of Avenue E regarding theft. According to the report, a daybed frame had been stolen off of the complainant’s front porch. The complainant named several suspects and planned to check local scrap yards and see if the frame could be located, the report states.
*Brown County Sheriff’s Office arrested 24-year-old Orlando Enrique Carrillo for possession of a controlled substance.
*Brown County Sheriff’s Office arrested 33-year-old Joshua Dean Harrell of Snyder for assault causes family violence and a Brazoria County warrant for assault causes bodily injury.
*Brown County Sheriff’s Office booked into jail 41-year-old Victoria Caswell Mayes of Bangs, AKA Victoria Pope, for multiple indictments related to fraudulent use/possession of identifying information – items less than 5, forgery of a financial instrument, motion to adjudicate/delivery of a controlled substance, motion to adjudicate/delivery of a dangerous drug, and on a warrant for motion to revoke/assault with injury family violence. Mayes is being held at the Brown County Jail in lieu of bonds totaling $35,000.
*Brown County Sheriff’s Office arrested 25-year-old Michael Jay Navarro of May on warrants related to no driver’s license and unsafe speed.
*Brown County Sheriff’s Office arrested 28-year-old Lakisha Jenae Stembridge of Coleman on warrants related to driving while license invalid, failure to maintain financial responsibility and violate promise to appear.
Saturday, August 3
*1:12 AM – Brownwood Police were called to the 1200 block of Avenue A regarding a domestic disturbance. Two brother-in-laws had gotten into a physical altercation; however, neither party wished to pursue charges.
*8:04 AM – Brownwood Police met with a complainant at the law enforcement center regarding an assault.
*10:49 AM – Brownwood Police were called to the 2400 block of Vine Street regarding the burglary of a habitation. According to the report, a table saw and air compressor were stolen from the complainant’s home.
*12:04 PM – Brownwood Police were called to the 1800 block of 8th Street regarding a domestic disturbance. According to the report, the complainant stated that she was assaulted by her nephew. The suspect was no longer on scene and unable to be located at the time of the report. The investigation is ongoing, the report states.
*3:21 PM – Brownwood Police were dispatched to the Brownwood Regional Medical Center emergency room regarding possession of marijuana. According to the report, upon arrival ER nurses advised the officer that a patient waiting to be transported to the MHMR respite home was in possession of marijuana. The marijuana was surrendered to the officer and the incident is being investigated.
*6:28 PM – Brownwood Police were called to the Brownwood Regional Medical Center emergency room regarding an intoxicated subject. According to the report, 50-year-old Harold Lance Collins was located and determined to be intoxicated. Collins was arrested for public intoxication, the report states.
*6:35 PM – Brownwood Police were called to Wal-Mart regarding theft. According to the report, a male, later identified as 42-year-old Michael Keith Hickerson attempted to steal property from the store. Hickerson was arrested for theft of property equal or greater than $50 less than $500.
*7:33 PM – Brownwood Police were dispatched to the 400 block of E. Commerce regarding a hit and run. According to the report, the complainant stated that a Chevrolet Suburban struck her vehicle and then left the parking lot. An investigation was completed and a report filed.
*9:19 PM – Brownwood Police were called to the Brownwood Regional Medical Center regarding an assault. According to the report, the victim stated that he had been assaulted while at a local park. The complainant stated that he had been assaulted and taken actions in self defense, according to the report. He had a laceration above his left eye, the report states. The victim’s foster mother was reported to be out of state and could not be contacted according to the report.
*1:02 PM – Brownwood Police were called to the 500 block of W. Commerce regarding the burglary of a vehicle. According to the report, the incident had just occurred and a red Trailblazer was identified as the suspect vehicle. After an investigation, 32-year-old Justin Alan Daneill of Early was arrested for two counts of burglary of a vehicle.
*Brown County Sheriff’s Office arrested 51-year-old James Anthony Bilbrey on a warrant related to a parole violation.
*Brown County Sheriff’s Office arrested 26-year-old Tiffany Ann Bostick of Bangs on a warrant for failure to appear/terroristic threat of family. Bostick is being held in the Brown County Jail on $10,000 bond.
*Texas Department of Public Safety arrested 34-year-old Cody Lee Gill of Blanket for driving while intoxicated 2nd.
*Bangs Police arrested 32-year-old Rafael Lara for driving while license invalid with previous convictions.
*Brown County Sheriff’s Office arrested 29-year-old Chad Michael Norman for driving while license invalid with previous conviction and for unlawful carrying of weapon by felon.
*Brown County Sheriff’s Office responded to a North Brownwood residence regarding the theft of medication. According to the report, while the complainant was on the phone with dispatch, a deputy located the suspect, later identified as 37-year-old David Earnest Tucknott, coming out of a vacant lot on Waco Street. The responding deputy ordered Tucknott to turn around and place his hands behind his back; however, he refused to comply and came toward the deputy, who had his taser drawn, and attempted to push the taser away, the report states. The deputy then took him to the ground and took him into custody, according to the report. A plastic grocery containing a baggie with a glass pipe with residue and a needle that both tested positive for methamphetamine and a pill bottle which contained one pill of Soma and had the name of the complainant on it were found approximately 10 feet off of the road where Tucknott had exited the field, the report states. Tucknott was arrested for possession of a controlled substance, penalty group 1 less than 1 gram and possession of a dangerous drug. Tucknott is being held in the Brown County Jail on bonds totaling $16,000.
Sunday, August 4
*12:19 AM – Brownwood Police were dispatched to the 1000 block of LaMonte regarding an unwanted person. According to the report, the complainant stated that her daughter’s boyfriend was intoxicated and refused to leave the residence. After an investigation, 21-year-old Charles Devlyn Dyess was arrested for criminal trespass.
*4:31 AM – Brownwood Police were called to the 1200 block of Avenue D regarding an assault. According to the report, the complainant stated that he was assaulted at a south Brownwood home by several subjects. The victim was taken to the Brownwood Regional Medical Center emergency room, where he was treated and released, the report states. The investigation is ongoing.
*2:31 PM – Brownwood Police responded to the 600 block of Beaver Street regarding a runaway juvenile. According to the report, the complainant stated that his 16-year-old foster child ran away from home.
*4:52 PM – Brownwood Police were dispatched to the 600 block of Crothers Street regarding theft. According to the report, the complainant stated that approximately $500 of various scrap metals was stolen from her property.
*5:24 PM – Brownwood Police responded to the 3600 block of Rhodes Road regarding the burglary of a habitation. According to the report, the complainant stated that while he was away from home between 12:00 PM and 5:24 PM this date, an unknown suspect broke into the residence and stole prescription medication and $40 cash from a lock box. The complainant did not wish to pursue criminal charges; however did wish to file a report regarding the stolen medication.
*7:25 PM – Brownwood Police were called to the 1600 block of 6th Street regarding criminal mischief. According to the report, the complainant reported that he arrived home from out of town to find someone had damaged his vehicle.
*Brown County Sheriff’s Office arrested 23-year-old Casey Douglas Simpson of May on warrants related to motion to revoke/driving while license invalid with previous conviction and motion to adjudicate/burglary of a building.
Monday, August 5
*1:14 AM – Brownwood Police received a report of an alleged sexual assault of a child. According to the report, the complainant’s niece made an outcry to the complainant’s daughter.
