Saturday, July 30
*A Brown County Sheriff’s deputy was dispatched to a report of the burglary of a home in Feather Bay. According to the report, the complainant advised while he was incarcerated in another county, his girlfriend removed all the property from his residence and is now refusing to return it.
Tuesday, August 2
*8:02 PM – a Brown County Sheriff’s deputy was dispatched to an address on County Road 603 regarding a domestic disturbance. According to the report, the complainant stated she had been assaulted by a male relative after a verbal argument between her and her boyfriend. The complainant was transported to the Brownwood Regional Medical Center emergency room. The deputy spoke with the complainant’s relative and witnesses and received different accounts of the incident.
*Brown County Sheriff’s Office received a report of criminal mischief. According to the report, the complainant stated that his mailbox on County Road 234 had been damaged.
*Early Police arrested 21-year-old Ember Furlough of Austin, Texas on a warrant related to failure to appear.*The Brownwood City Marshal arrested 17-year-old Justice Clavet Hall of Bangs on warrants related to Class C theft and failure to appear.
*Brownwood Police arrested 53-year-old Carl Harrison of Brownwood for assault causes bodily injury family violence.
* Early Police arrested 24-year-old Brian Shamblin of Austin, Texas on a warrant related to failure to appear.
*Brown County Sheriff’s Office arrested 25-year-old Arron Shane White of Brownwood for driving while license invalid with previous conviction/suspension/without financial responsibility.
Wednesday, August 3
*10:20 AM – Brownwood Police observed a vehicle pull out of a hotel in the 500 block of E. Commerce and turn west, failing to yield to traffic and almost colliding with a motorcycle, according to the report. The officer made a traffic stop in the 300 block of E. Commerce for this violation and after an investigation, 27-year-old Samuel Sanchez, Jr. of Brownwood and 24-year-old Kimberly Rebecca Mendez of Melvin, Texas were arrested for possession of a controlled substance penalty group 1 less than 1 gram in a drug free zone. Mendez was also arrested on outstanding warrants from Copperas Cove Police Department and the Pardon and Parole Board.
*10:49 AM – Brownwood Police were called to the 3800 block of US Hwy 377 South regarding debit/credit card abuse. According to the report, the complainant believed a card skimmer had been used at a local convenience store to steal her credit/debit card information.
*12:51 PM – A Brown County Sheriff’s deputy spoke with a complainant regarding criminal mischief. According to the report, the complainant stated that on Sunday, July 31st, he saw two individuals damage his mailbox on County Road 153 with an unknown tool.
*2:20 PM – Brownwood Police were called to the 700 block of Almond Street regarding an unwanted person. According to the report, the caller advised dispatch that Enrique Salazar was on scene and that she needed police immediately. This call led to the arrest of 55-year-old Salazar of Brownwood for criminal trespass and aggravated kidnapping.
*9:09 PM – Brownwood Police made a traffic stop in the 18th Street and Coggin Avenue. According to the report, this stop led to the arrest of 50-year-old Mildred Ramos Menchaca of Fort Worth, Texas for tamper/fabricate physical evidence with intent to repair; 27-year-old Rabia Qutab of Fort Worth was arrested for manufacture delivery of a controlled substance penalty group 1 equal or greater than 4 grams less than 200 grams; and 22-year-old Juan Castaneda of Brownwood was arrested for failure to identify fugitive intentionally gives false information and on local warrants. Castaneda was being held in the Brown County Jail in lieu of bonds totaling $50,000 as of Thursday morning.
*11:40 PM – Brownwood Police were dispatched to the 2000 block of 8th Street regarding a domestic disturbance. According to the report, this call led to the arrest of 23-year-old Anthony Hernandez of Brownwood for assault family violence/strangulation and assault causes bodily injury.
*35-year-old Felicia Neel Davis was arrested on a Coryell County warrant related to motion to adjudicate/duty striking fixture.
*Brownwood Police arrested 31-year-old Andrea Nicole Mendoza of Bangs on a warrant related to credit/debit card abuse.
Thursday, August 4
*3:39 AM – Brownwood Police were dispatched to the 1700 block of Avenue A regarding the burglary of a habitation. According to the report, a bottle of liquor and two bottles of margarita mix had been stolen from the residence.
