Law Enforcement arrests and reports released Wednesday, August 4, 2010.

Thursday, July 29

*At 3:10pm, a Brownwood Police officer observed a criminally damaged vehicle.  Contact was made with the owner who stated that the window had been broken out overnight.  Nothing had been stolen; however the damage was estimated at $640.  No suspect information was available.

*At 4:14pm, Brownwood Police responded to the 600 block of Chestnut regarding a possible burglary in progress.  When the officer arrived at the scene, it was determined that the burglary was not in progress but had occurred before the homeowner had arrived at 4:00pm.  Numerous items of value had been stolen from the home and the front door damaged.  The investigation is ongoing.

Monday, August 2

*At 2pm, Brownwood Police were called to the 1100 block of Riverside Drive regarding the report of a missing necklace.   According to the report, the complainant remembered seeing the necklace in the hotel room when leaving at 6:30am and could not find the necklace when returning around 3:30pm.  No suspect is known at this time and the investigation is ongoing.

*At 3:18pm, Brownwood Police received a report of burglary of a vehicle.  According to the report, a woman stated that her driver’s license and her mother’s checkbook had been stolen from her vehicle while she was at work.  At the time of the report, there was no suspect information and no arrest.

Tuesday, August 3

*Early Police arrested 23-year-old Danny Faulkner for Theft of Firearm, 3 counts of Burglary of a Habitation and Escape from Custody.

*At 9:00am, an employee who had found an abandoned bicycle behind Wal-Mart brought the bicycle to the Law Enforcement Center where it was checked to see if it was reported as lost or stolen.  No record of such was found.  It was secured in the BPD bicycle impound.

*At 1:10pm, Brownwood Police reported to the 1300 block of Austin Avenue regarding a criminal trespass warning.  A female on scene was notified that she was not wanted on the property and a trespass warning was issued.  The female left without incident.

*At 2:23pm, Brownwood Police responded to the 1500 block of Avenue E regarding a burglary that had occurred between July 16 and July 19.  According to the report, there were no signs of forced entry; however some jewelry, DVDs, and money were reported missing.  An investigation is ongoing.

*At 5:05pm, Brownwood Police were called to the 1100 block of Vine Street regarding the theft of a bicycle.  The owner stated his bicycle was stolen by an unknown person between 3:00 and 4:00pm this date.  The investigation is ongoing.

Wednesday, August 4

*12:38am, a Brownwood Police officer was patrolling in the 100 block of E. Commerce and observed a vehicle fail to signal when turning onto Main Street.  A traffic stop was initiated and the driver was identified as 61-year-old Orville Ray Boese.  Police reports state that a search was conducted of the vehicle and a bag of marijuana was found stuffed into the side of a stereo speaker.  Boese was arrested for Possession of Marijuana <2oz.

All arrestees are innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
