Monday, August 26
*A Brown County Sheriff’s Deputy made a traffic stop on a vehicle at Hwy 183 South and Early Blvd that was traveling at a speed of 58 mph in a 45 mph construction zone. According to the report, during an investigation, it was determined that the driver, identified as Michael Doyle and the passenger Joseph Lavender were in possession of a controlled substance and was in possession of a prohibited weapon (an improvised explosive device). The contraband was located in the console between the two occupants of the vehicle, the report states. Both were subsequently arrested for possession of a controlled substance penalty group 1 (methamphetamine) less than 1 gram in a drug free zone and possession of a prohibited weapon. Lavender was being held in the Brown County Jail on bonds totaling $9,500 as of Friday morning.
Wednesday, August 28
*12:20 PM – Brown County Sheriff’s Office received a report of the burglary of a habitation located on County Road 189. According to the report, the complainant lives out of town and reported that her property in Brown County had been burglarized and numerous items were stolen. It appeared the suspect(s) may have stayed in the residence and used the shower during the incident, the report states.
*3:18 PM – Brownwood Police were called to the 1500 block of Market Place Blvd regarding criminal trespass. According to the report, a suspect was identified.
*5:35 PM – Brownwood Police were dispatched to the 1500 block of Waco Street regarding the issuance of a criminal trespass warning to an ex-boyfriend for a second address. The warning was issued per the complainant’s request, the report states.
*A Brown County Sheriff’s deputy stopped a vehicle in the 1600 block of Waco Street for failure to signal 100 feet prior to turning. According to the report, the driver, identified as Patricia Ford held a suspended Texas ID card and had previous convictions for driving while license invalid. Ford was arrested and charged with driving while license invalid with previous convictions.
Thursday, August 29
*10:19 AM – Brownwood Police responded to the 1500 block of Avenue B regarding an assault. According to the report, the complainant stated that she was assaulted by her boyfriend at the residence.
*2:42 PM – Brownwood Police were called to the 1400 block of Austin Avenue, Brookshire’s grocery store, regarding theft. According to the report, when the responding officer arrived, a shoplifting suspect was detained. After the suspect was identified, they were issued a citation for Class C theft, the report states.
*4:25 PM – Brownwood Police were dispatched to the 900 block of 11th Street regarding the burglary of a habitation. According to the report, the complainant advised that sometime during the past two months an unknown subject broke into the residence and stole property.
*7:32 PM – Brownwood Police were called to the 2000 block of Slayden Street regarding terroristic threat. According to the report, the complainant stated that a friend had come to his residence and banged on the door, waking the complainant from a nap. When the complainant answered the door, the friend demanded money that the complainant had borrowed from him, the report states. The complainant stated that the friend was talking erratically and threatened him, according to the report.
*8:57 PM – Brownwood Police were dispatched to the 4200 block of US Hwy 377 South regarding found property. According to the report, a purse was found in an open lot.
*Brownwood Police arrested 21-year-old Nichalos Joe Castenada on indictments for manufacture delivery of a controlled substance penalty group 3/4 equal or less than 28 grams in a drug free zone and delivery of marijuana equal or less than 1/4 ounce in a drug free zone. Castenada is being held in the Brown County Jail in lieu of a bond totaling $10,000.
*Brown County Sheriff’s Office arrested 20-year-old Adrian Cortez on indictments and a warrant related to unauthorized use of a motor vehicle; motion to adjudicate/unauthorized use of a motor vehicle; and motion to adjudicate/evading arrest. Cortez is being held in the Brown County Jail in lieu of bonds totaling $17,500.
*Brownwood Police arrested 53-year-old Joe Glen Duncan on a warrant for assault causes bodily injury family violence.
*Texas Department of Public Safety arrested 39-year-old Jason Jade Long of Tehachapi, California for possession of a controlled substance penalty group 1 less than 1 gram.
*Brown County Sheriff’s Office arrested 19-year-old Dustin Glynn Madrid on a warrant related to motion to adjudicate/resist arrest search or transport.
*Brown County Sheriff’s Office arrested 21-year-old Bryan Dee Penn II on warrants related to motion to adjudicate/possession of marijuana and driving while intoxicated open container.
*Brownwood Police arrested 18-year-old Aaron Chase Pinkard on an Erath County warrant for theft of property equal or greater than $50 less than $500.
*Brownwood Police arrested 18-year-old Trevor Ray Rogers Ross on a warrant for unauthorized use of a motor vehicle.
*Brown County Sheriff’s Office arrested 24-year-old Samuel Sanchez II on a warrant related to a parole violation.
*Bangs Police arrested 22-year-old Sarah Swain of Bangs for driving while license invalid with previous conviction/suspension/without financial responsibility.
*Brownwood Police arrested 25-year-old Dal Thornhill Williams for assault causes bodily injury family violence.
Friday, August 30
*Bangs Police arrested 17-year-old Charles Anthony Conger of Bangs for criminal trespass.
*Brownwood Police arrested 19-year-old Brian Thomas on a warrant related to unauthorized use of a motor vehicle.
