Tuesday, July 28
*1:58 PM – Brownwood Police were called to the 1100 block of Santa Clara regarding the burglary of a habitation. According to the report, the complainant stated that tools valued at $595 had been stolen from his garage. No suspect information was available; however, if a suspect can be identified, the complainant wished to pursue criminal charges.
Thursday, July 30
*5:00 PM – A Brown County Sheriff’s deputy was dispatched to a residence on Lakeshore Drive in Brownwood regarding theft. The elderly victim stated that a known suspect had stolen jewelry from her while cleaning her residence.
Friday, July 31
*7:14 AM – A Brown County Sheriff’s deputy made a traffic stop on a vehicle for displaying an obstructed front license plate. After stopping the vehicle, the deputy identified the driver as 31-year-old Michael Edward Ynostrosa of Brownwood. Ynostrosa had convictions on 9/27/11, 03/31/11, 05/13/10, and 06/01/2009 for driving while license invalid, the report states. Ynostrosa was arrested for driving while license invalid with previous convictions and his vehicle was towed by Harpers Towing, according to the report.*12:12 PM – Brownwood Police were called to the 3800 block of 4th Street regarding an accident. According to the report, it was determined that one of the drivers, identified as 60-year-old Maria Magdalena Abascal of Santa Anna, was intoxicated. This call led to the arrest of Abascal for driving while intoxicated 2nd.
*4:08 PM – Brownwood Police received a report of a sexual assault.
*4:38 PM – A Brown County Sheriff’s deputy met a complainant at the law enforcement center regarding a civil matter. According to the report, the complainant stated that his former tenants had caused damage to his property located on FM 585.
*5:37 PM – Brownwood Police were dispatched to the 1800 block of Belle Plain regarding the burglary of a coin operated machine. Officers spoke to several parties involved, which resulted in 28-year-old Lukas Scott Rootes, 18-year-ol Benjamin Johnson, 29-year-old Jessica McGlasson (all of Brownwood) and a juvenile being arrested for burglary of a coin operated machine and for engaging in organized criminal activity.
*6:20 PM – Brownwood Police were called to the 1200 block of Vine Street regarding a one-vehicle accident. According to the report, the vehicle had struck a telephone pole and the driver had a strong odor of alcohol on his person. The driver, identified as 26-year-old Patrick J. Leonard, stated he had been distracted by his cell phone and that he was injured so he was transported by ambulance to the emergency room, the report states. According to the officer, Leonard was reported to have been cursing at the EMS and ER staff. The officer performed standardized sobriety tests on Leonard in the hallway, which led to a blood specimen being obtained and once released; Leonard was arrested for driving while intoxicated and taken to the Brown County Jail.
*7:17 PM – A Brown County Sheriff’s deputy was dispatched to a residence on FM 586 regarding a burglary. According to the report, the victim stated someone had entered her residence without her consent and taken property. She stated that a relative of hers had found a brown leather men’s wallet lying in the driveway belonging to a male subject that she did not know, the report states. The victim did not know how the wallet had come to be located on her property, according to the report.
*8:00 PM – A Brown County Sheriff’s deputy received a report of the theft of a wallet.
*10:58 PM – Brownwood Police observed a male subject stumbling in the roadway at the 2400 block of Main Blvd. Contact was made with the subject, identified as 36-year-old Billy Joe Brummett of Brookesmith, who was found to be heavily intoxicated on alcoholic beverages. Brummett was placed under arrest for public intoxication.
*Brownwood Police arrested 37-year-old Nickolas Coker of Brownwood on multiple warrants related to two counts of forgery (Lubbock County), alcohol in a public park and failure to appear.
*28-year-old Tiffany Nicole Daniel of Brownwood turned herself in on a warrant related to motion to revoke/theft of property equal or greater than $50 less than $500.
Saturday, August 1
*2:16 AM – Brownwood Police were dispatched to the 1500 block of Terrace Drive for a welfare concern regarding a suspect who was reported to be “beating on his vehicle.” Officers arrived at the residence and made contact with the subject, identified as 47-year-old Kory Haines of Brownwood, who was found to be very intoxicated, the report states. Attempts to find a sober driver to take the suspect away from the area were not successful and due to his state of intoxication, Haines could not safely operate his vehicle or walk away from the area without being a danger to himself and others, the report states. Haines was then arrested for public intoxication.
*3:42 AM – A Brown County Sheriff’s deputy responded to a residence on Shoshoni Drive in May regarding a domestic disturbance. According to the report, several officers arrived on scene and an investigation was conducted. This call led to the arrest of 55-year-old Robin Lynel Barnett of May for assault family violence causing bodily injury.
*8:09 AM – Brownwood Police were called to the 1400 block of Avenue A regarding theft.
*6:30 PM – Brownwood Police were dispatched to the 2300 block of Avenue C regarding a domestic disturbance involving an assault. When officers arrived the suspect was not on scene. Victims involved did not require medical attention and did not wish to pursue charges, the report states. The incident was documented.
*7:31 PM – A Brown County Sheriff’s deputy was dispatched to a residence on County Road 183 regarding a report of a theft. According to the report, the complainant advised that her roommate had stolen a cell phone and tablet from the residence.
*8:12 PM – Brownwood Police were called to the 1100 block of San Benito regarding criminal mischief. According to the report, the window of a vehicle had been damaged. After an investigation, 46-year-old Joe Cadena of Brownwood was arrested for destroying the window with a hammer and charged with criminal mischief equal or greater than $50 less than $500.
*Brownwood Police arrested 41-year-old Cynthia Dolores Marshall of Blanket for criminal trespass.
*36-year-old Kimberly Marie McKenzie of Brownwood turned herself in on a warrant related to theft by check.
*Early Police arrested 30-year-old Lupe Conrado Villarreal of Brownwood for driving while license invalid with previous convictions.
Sunday, August 2
*11:25 AM – Brownwood Police were dispatched to the 1600 block of 8th Street regarding criminal mischief. According to the report, the complainant’s vehicle had been damaged during the overnight hours.
