Tuesday, July 31
*11:19am-Brownwood Police were dispatched to the 1200 block of Avenue B regarding criminal mischief. According to the report, the complainant’s vehicle was “keyed.”
Wednesday, August 1
*8:09am-Brownwood Police were called to the 2200 block of Vincent Street regarding criminal mischief. According to the report, the complainant’s vehicle was damaged sometime overnight.
*4:43pm-Brownwood Police were dispatched to the 1000 block of San Benito Drive regarding a domestic disturbance. According to the report, a mother and son were fighting in the yard of the residence. During the investigation, it was determined that the mother and son were involved in an argument which resulted in physical violence against each other. The incident was settled by separation.
*8:30pm-Brownwood Police were called to the 1400 block of Austin Avenue regarding theft at Brookshire’s. According to the report, the suspect stole a sports drink and was detained by employees. The suspect was issued a citation and a trespass warning for the address at the request of store management.
*8:36pm-Brownwood Police were called to the 200 block of W. Commerce regarding criminal mischief. According to the report, a person was identified on store video putting spray foam into the front door lock of the business.
*8:53pm-Brownwood Police were dispatched to the 1200 block of Beaver Street regarding the burglary of a habitation. According to the report, a bicycle was stolen out of an open garage at the residence.
*Early Police arrested 25-year-old Amanda Nicole Cantu for Theft of Property greater than $50 less than $500.
*Texas Department of Public Safety arrested 43-year-old Marty Keller for Driving While Intoxicated.
*Texas Department of Public Safety arrested 25-year-old Keith Alan Phillippi for Unlawful Carrying of Weapon, Violation of a Protective Order, and Possession of a Controlled Substance Penalty Group 2A less than or equal to 2 oz.
Thursday, August 2
*8:36am-Brownwood police were called to the 1500 block of 2nd Street regarding the burglary of a building, Central United Methodist Church. During the call it was determined that the offense occurred sometime between 5:00pm on August 1 and 8:00am August 2.
*9:22am-Brownwood Police were dispatched to the 3200 block of Durham Avenue to assist City of Brownwood code enforcement officers who had located a marijuana plant. According to the report, the call led to the arrest of 57-year-old David Adams, Sr. for Possession of Marijuana.
*1:06pm-Brownwood Police were called to the 2300 block of Magnolia Street regarding criminal mischief. According to the report, the complainant stated that his vehicle was “keyed” while parked at Wal-Mart.
*2:54pm-Brownwood Police met with a complainant at the Law Enforcement Center regarding the burglary of a habitation on Avenue D.
*2:50pm-Brownwood Police were dispatched to the 300 block of N. Main Street regarding theft. According to the report, a female complainant stated that her wallet was stolen from her purse at Kroger sometime between the hours of 1:15pm and 1:30pm.
*3:43pm-Brownwood Police were called to the 1800 block of 8th Street regarding forgery/counterfeit bill. According to the report, the complainant advised that he received a counterfeit bill from a local business. The report states that the bill was confirmed to be counterfeit by a local bank.
*4:07pm-Brownwood Police were dispatched to the 300 block of Maple Street regarding an unwanted subject. According to the report, the unwanted person was identified as 33-year-old Billy Joe Brummett of Brookesmith who was standing in the area and found to be intoxicated. Brummett was arrested for Public Intoxication.
*4:49pm-Brown County Sheriff’s Office responded to an assisted living center on CR 292 regarding a burglary. According to the report, the complainant stated that someone came into the residence sometime between 9:00am and 1:00pm and took a safe containing $500. Money kept in the safe is that of the residents, their spending money. No arrest had been made at the time of the report.
