Friday, August 22

*12:00 PM – Brownwood Police responded to the 1700 block of Broadmoor Drive regarding the burglary of a vehicle.  According to the report, the complainant’s 2003 Trailblazer was broken into during the night and a purse was stolen.

Sunday, August 24

*2:39 PM – Brownwood Police were dispatched to the 2800 block of Cleburne Street regarding the burglary of a vehicle.

Monday, August 25

*8:28 AM – Brownwood Police were called to the 1700 block of Belle Plain, Dave’s Tire Service, regarding the burglary of a building.  According to the report, an unknown subject(s) broke into the complainant’s shop over the weekend.

Tuesday, August 26

*9:41 AM – A Brown County Sheriff’s deputy received a report of theft.  According to the report, the complainant stated on August 1, 2014 at approximately 6:00 p.m. he noticed someone had stolen his green Pelican canoe, valued at $200.00.

*4:46 PM – Brownwood Police were called to Walmart regarding theft.  According to the report, a subject and two children were observed leaving the store without paying for merchandise.  The male subject and children fled the parking lot in a 2011 Chevrolet Cruze, the report states.  Store management stated that they wished to pursue criminal charges, according to the report.

*A Brown County Sheriff’s deputy responded to a call from a female, who stated that her glasses were taken from her; after her ex pushed her. According to the report, the complainant stated that Dustin Lindley had pushed her and acted like he was going to hit her.   She stated that Lindley took the glasses off of Lehman’s face, and left the scene.  Deputies searched the area where Lindley is known to live and located him in middle of a field on County Road 551, a property where Lindley had no right to be present, the report states.  Lindley was Mirandized, and placed into a patrol unit for a few minutes.  The deputy asked Lindley to step out of the vehicle to be escorted to another patrol vehicle, and blood was observed on the back seat where Lindley had been sitting, according to the report.  Lindley had broken a glass pipe in the seat and cut his fingers while doing so, the report states.  The broken off stem of the pipe was located in the floorboard, next to the front passenger seat.  It contained blood and residue in and on it, according to the deputy’s report.  The residue found in the pipe was later tested and found tested positive for the presence of methamphetamine, the report states.  35-year-old Dustin Wayne Lindley of Brownwood was arrested for robbery, tamper/fabricate physical evidence with intent to impair and possession of a controlled substance penalty group 1 less than 1 gram and evading arrest/detention.

*An off-duty Brown County Sheriff’s deputy observed 35-year-old Mary Culp of Brownwood in the EZ Mart on Hwy 279 near Lake Brownwood, where she was known to have a criminal trespass warning.  Dispatch confirmed the trespass warning, and Culp was subsequently arrested for criminal trespass.

*Brown County Sheriff’s Office arrested 40-year-old Sereio Catillo of Brownwood on a warrant related to motion to adjudicate/duty on striking fixture on highway less than $200.

*Brown County Sheriff’s Office arrested 45-year-old Brent Allen Garvin of Coleman for failure to identify and on warrants related to motion to adjudicate/possession of a controlled substance with intent to deliver, motion to adjudicate/tampering with or fabricating physical evidence, and motion to adjudicate/evading arrest.

*50-year-old Vincent Earl Griffin of Brownwood turned himself in on warrants related to surety withdrawal related to assault family violence and driving while intoxicated 3rd or more.

*52-year-old Kathryn Dnaell Hardman of Brownwood turned herself in on a warrant related to theft of property equal or greater than $20 less than $500.

*Brown County Sheriff’s Office arrested 41-year-old Lucilla Ortega of Brownwood on a warrant related to possession of a controlled substance in a drug free zone.

*53-year-old Carrie P. Schaefer of Abilene was arrested on a warrant related to failure to appear/motion to adjudicate/theft by check equal or greater than $20 less than $500.

*Brown County Sheriff’s Office arrested 27-year-old Devan Wayne Vogel of Bangs on warrants related to failure to appear/motion to adjudicate/driving while license invalid and theft of property equal or greater than $500 less than $1500.

Wednesday, August 27

*2:53 AM – Brownwood Police were dispatched to the 500 block of E. Commerce regarding suspicious activity.  According to the report, dispatch advised the officer that the caller stated they could hear a female screaming at the Budget Inn.  The female who was possibly responsible for the screaming was located at the roadside park at 516 E. Commerce Street.  This call led to the arrest of Lyra-A Klaus for possession of a controlled substance penalty group 1 less than 1 gram.

*Brownwood Police arrested 25-year-old Josiphina Canelaria Gonzales of Brownwood on warrants related to open container in vehicle and violate promise to appear.

*Brownwood Police arrested 41-year-old Lyraa Ann Klaus of Brownwood for possession of a controlled substance penalty group 1 less than 1 gram.
