Wednesday, August 24
*4:56 PM – Brownwood Police met with a complainant at the law enforcement center regarding an incident of criminal mischief. According to the report, a tree in the complainant’s back yard was damaged.
Thursday, August 25
*7:01 AM – A Brown County Sheriff’s deputy was called to the Brownwood Regional Medical Center emergency room regarding a dog bite. According to the report, a male subject had been bitten the day before while trying to break up a dog fight.
*9:20 PM – Brownwood Police made a traffic stop in the area of Low and Southside Drive. According to the report, during the stop, the officer observed a baggie of marijuana in the vehicle in plain sight. The vehicle was searched and numerous other items of contraband were located, the report states. The driver, identified as 22-year-old Juan Israel Hernandez of Brownwood was subsequently arrested for possession of marijuana less than 2 ounces, possession of a dangerous drug and possession of a controlled substance penalty group 3 less than 28 grams.
*9:32 PM – A Brown County Sheriff’s deputy was dispatched to an address on Glen Oaks Drive regarding stolen golf clubs.*A Brown County Sheriff’s deputy responded to Jane Ellen Street near Lake Brownwood regarding an assault which led to an assault with injuries report and investigation. According to the report, the deputy met with the victim who advised that a male subject had assaulted her. The deputy’s report states the victim had visible injuries and that the male subject had left the scene prior to deputies’ arrival.
*Brown County Sheriff’s Office arrested 31-year-old Nakkeya Lynette Harris on a warrant related to injury to a child. Harris was being held in the Brown County Jail in lieu of $10,000 as of Friday morning.
*Brown County Sheriff’s Office arrested 36-year-old Joey Huizar of San Saba, Texas on two active warrants.
*Brown County Sheriff’s Office arrested 45-year-old Marcus Todd Kallman of Brownwood for harassment.
Friday, August 26
*12:42 AM – Brownwood Police met a complainant at the law enforcement center regarding theft. According to the report, a subject had stolen money from her when she dropped it. The complainant wished to pursue charges against the male subject, the report states.
*Texas Department of Public Safety arrested 20-year-old Michael Herbert Kerbow of Austin, Texas for possession of marijuana less than 2 ounces.
