Wednesday, August 17

*6:41 PM – A Brown County Sheriff’s deputy was dispatched to an address on Belfast Drive regarding a welfare check.  According to the report, this call led to the arrest of a subject inside the home, identified as 43-year-old Timothy Allen French of Brownwood, for violate bond/protective order.

Thursday, August 18

*5:26 PM – A Brown County Sheriff’s deputy was dispatched to an address on Belle Plain Street regarding the burglary of a building.

*Brown County Sheriff’s Office arrested 50-year-old Jacky Wayne Carter of Brownwood on two counts of possession of a controlled substance penalty group 1 less than 1 gram and on surety withdrawals related to warrants for manufacture delivery of a controlled substance penalty group 1 less than 1 gram, tamper fabricate physical evidence and motion to revoke/possession of marijuana less than 2 ounces.

*The Brownwood City Marshal arrested 28-year-old Alicia Diana Green of Early on a warrant related to expired registration.

*Brownwood Police arrested 45-year-old Hervey Valdez Lopez of Santa Anna on a warrant related to burglary of a building.

*Brown County Sheriff’s Office arrested 36-year-old Heidi Youngers of Abilene, Texas for possession of a controlled substance penalty group 1 less than 1 gram.

Friday, August 19

*8:31 AM – Brownwood Police made a traffic stop in the 500 block of Parkway Drive regarding speeding.  According to the report, this stop led to the issuance of a citation to the driver for possession of drug paraphernalia.

*9:41 AM – Brownwood Police were called to the 1700 block of Fort Worth Street regarding the theft of a bicycle.

*3:50 PM – A Brown County Sheriff’s deputy was dispatched to Turner Drive in reference to suspicious activities.  According to the report, the caller stated there were two subjects hiding in the bushes on the property.  As the deputy arrived, he observed a male and female walking in the roadway.  A witness stated she had seen the male subject, identified as 17-year-old Cody Kyle Bomer of Brownwood, throw a backpack into the woods by the road just prior to the deputy’s arrival, the report states.  A probable cause search of the backpack located a small baggie containing trace amounts of methamphetamine, according to the report.  Bomer was arrested and charged with tampering with or fabricating physical evidence and possession of a controlled substance penalty group 1 less than 1 gram.

*4:39 PM – Brownwood Police were dispatched to the 2700 block of W. Main Blvd. regarding a stolen vehicle.  According to the report, officers located the vehicle and an investigation led to the arrest of 25-year-old Jacob Sterling Carlton of Lubbock, Texas for unauthorized use of a motor vehicle.

*9:10 PM – Brownwood Police were called to the 4200 block of US Hwy 377 South regarding criminal mischief.  According to the report, several known juvenile subjects were reported to have scratched the complainant’s vehicle.

*Brownwood Police arrested 41-year-old Ricky Don Crow of Brownwood on a Tom Green County warrant related to possession of a controlled substance penalty group 1 less than 1 gram.

*Brown County Sheriff’s Office arrested 35-year-old John Sylvester Hernandez of Brady on a warrant related to failure to appear/motion for enforcement/confinement.

*The Brownwood City Marshal arrested 30-year-old Joshua Lee Maldonado of Brownwood on a warrant related to ran stop sign.

*Brownwood Police arrested 24-year-old Bryan Dee Penn II of Brownwood on warrants related to expired motor vehicle registration and failure to appear.

*Brown County Sheriff’s Office arrested 31-year-old Terri Leeann Tucker of San Angelo on Tom Green County warrants related to failure to appear/three counts of possession of a controlled substance with intent to deliver and fraudulent use/possession of identifying information.

*Brownwood Police arrested 45-year-old Alfredo L. Vasquez, Jr. of Brownwood for criminal trespass and criminal mischief less than $100.

*Brownwood Police arrested 33-year-old Douglas Lamar Williams of Brownwood for possession of marijuana less than 4 ounces in a drug free zone.

Saturday, August 20

*12:20 AM – An Early Police officer stopped a Dodge pickup after the vehicle came through an intersection almost striking the officer’s patrol car.  According to the report, once the vehicle was stopped, the officer made contact with the driver, identified as 23-year-old Dakota Cross of Blanket, Texas.  The officer attempted to conduct field sobriety test on Cross; however, due to his agitation and refusal to comply with requests, Cross was placed under arrest for driving while intoxicated 2nd, the report states. Cross attempted to resist but was taken into custody with the assistance of two Brown County Sheriff’s deputies, according to the report.  A warrant for a blood specimen was sought, a blood draw for evidence was taken before Cross was booked into the Brown County Jail.

*4:31 AM – Brownwood Police were called to the 2600 block of Avenue D regarding the theft of a motor vehicle.  According to the report, the vehicle was stolen sometime during the overnight hours and an investigation is ongoing.

*9:08 AM – Brownwood Police were dispatched to the 3000 block of Avenue K regarding the burglary of a vehicle.  According to the report, a shotgun and a cell phone were stolen from the complainant’s vehicle.

*2:26 PM – Brownwood Police were dispatched to the 400 block of W. Commerce regarding trespassing.  According to the report, this call led to the arrest of 63-year-old Linda Ivy of Brownwood for criminal trespass and resisting arrest.

*4:07 PM – Brownwood Police were dispatched to the 4400 block of US Hwy 377 South regarding an assault.

*4:29 PM – Brownwood Police were called to the 3600 block of US Hwy 377 South regarding a hit and run accident.

*7:18 PM – Brownwood Police were dispatched to the 4400 block of McArthur Circle regarding an assault.

*8:35 PM – An Early Police officer observed a white pickup stopped at a red light and that the driver was drinking a beer.  According to the report, the officer and a Brown County Sheriff’s deputy made contact with the driver at a convenience store in the 100 block of Early Blvd. The driver, identified as 44-year-old Thomas Bayard Whitmire of Early, was interviewed at the store and provided a field sobriety test which determined him to be intoxicated although he thought he had only drank half of a beer while driving to the store, the report states.  Whitmire also had his 3-year-old daughter in the vehicle, according to police.  Whitmire was placed under arrest for DWI 3rd or more with a child passenger which is two felony offenses, according to police.  A blood warrant was sought and Whitmire was transported to the Brownwood Regional Medical Center emergency room for a blood specimen before he was taken to the Brown County Jail.

*10:40 PM – Brownwood Police were called to the 2600 block of Crockett Drive regarding an assault.  According to the report, the suspect had not been located at the time of the report.

*11:53 PM – Brownwood Police were dispatched to the 1500 block of Terrace Drive regarding disorderly conduct.  According to the report, subjects on scene advised officers that a male subject had been stabbed and was transported via private vehicle to the hospital.

*Texas Department of Public Safety arrested 62-year-old Otis Farrell Lawrence of Early for driving while intoxicated.

Sunday, August 21

*10:57 AM – Brownwood Police made a pedestrian stop in the 3700 block of Savoy Drive.  This stop led to the issuance of a citation to the male pedestrian for possession of drug paraphernalia.

*11:41 AM – Brownwood Police were called to the 2300 block of Main Blvd. regarding criminal mischief.  According to the report, the passenger door of the complainant’s vehicle had been damaged.

*1:12 PM – Brownwood Police were dispatched to the 500 block of Center Avenue regarding an accident.  According to the report, the driver of one of the vehicles fled the scene on foot.  This call led to the arrest of 54-year-old Davona Hamilton of Zephyr, also known as Davona Burfield for fleeing the scene of accident equal or greater than $200 and failure to identify.

*10:20 PM – A Brown County Sheriff’s deputy responded to a property on County Road 603 regarding an assault. According to the report, the victim stated that she was pushed to the ground after a verbal argument by her daughter’s boyfriend.

*11:04 PM – Brownwood Police were called to the 3700 block of 1st Street regarding an assault.  According to the report, the complainant stated that a resident of the home had assaulted him.  An investigation is ongoing, the report states.

*An Early residence filed a forgery report stating that a door-to-door salesman with satellite dish company had sold her a new subscription.  According to the report, the complainant stated that the sales man had failed to follow through with his responsibilities and that he had forged her signature on the contract in places that she did not agree too. The additional signatures increased her bill due to additional services that she did not want, the report states.  An investigation is ongoing.

*Texas Department of Public Safety arrested 58-year-old Ricky Darnell Jackson of Brownwood for driving while intoxicated.
