Wednesday, August 19

*5:10 PM – Brownwood Police were called to the 3600 block of Durham Avenue regarding a domestic disturbance.  According to the report, the victim stated he was struck by a car driven by his wife.  Although the victim has minor injuries consistent with being dragged by a vehicle, he did not wish to pursue criminal charges.  The complainant was given information about family violence, the report states.

*8:05 PM – Brownwood Police were dispatched to the 1200 block of Brady Avenue regarding a domestic disturbance.

*Brown County Sheriff’s deputies were called to the report of a loose cow in the area of County Road 160 near Bangs.  According to the report, the cow was penned and strayed.

Thursday, August 20

*5:01 PM – Brownwood Police were called to the 800 block of 1st Street regarding the burglary of a motor vehicle.  According to the report, the complainant stated that several PVC fittings, a Tom Tom GPS and an extension cord had been stolen from the bed of his work truck.

*8:25 PM – Brownwood Police responded to a hit and run accident in the area of 17th Street and Coggin Avenue.  According to the report, a privacy fence had been damaged; however, the complainant did not wish to pursue charges.

*12:02 PM – Brownwood Police responded to a report of theft in the 400 block of W. Commerce.  According to the report, an investigation determined that a male suspect, identified as 30-year-old Dejuan Antonio Taylor of Comanche had stolen a paint ball gun and a hair brush, valued at $51.97.  According to the report, Taylor was also found to have two outstanding warrants for his arrest and was subsequently arrested for the warrants and for theft.

*12:19 PM – Brown County Sheriff’s Office was dispatched to a property on Hwy 279 regarding an unwanted person.  According to the report, a known male was reported to have been beating on the complainant’s door and yelling.

*5:40 PM – Brown County Sheriff’s Office arrested 23-year-old Justin Don Lewis of Brownwood on a warrant related to possession of a controlled substance penalty group 1 less than 1 gram.

*11:17 PM – Brownwood Police were dispatched to the 200 block of E. Commerce regarding theft.  According to the report, the complainant stated that someone had stolen money out of his wallet.

*55-year-old Tamarah Lynn Brown of Brownwood turned herself in on a warrant related to theft of property equal or greater than $20 less than $500 by check.

*Brownwood Police arrested 48-year-old Bernard Crowder of Brownwood on a Comanche County warrant related to possession of a controlled substance.  Crowder was being held on a $500,000 bond as of Friday morning.

*52-year-old Timothy Karl Owings of Brownwood was arrested on a Tarrant County warrant related to theft of property equal or greater than $20,000 less than $100,000.

Friday, August 21

*2:59 AM – Brownwood Police were called to the 2100 block of 10th Street where they arrested Justin Brown on criminal trespass charges.  According to the report, an investigation determined Brown had been at the residence where he had been criminally trespassed.

*Brownwood Police arrested 36-year-old Justin Hayden Brown of Brownwood for criminal trespass and obstruction or retaliation.
