Monday, August 17

*A Brown County Sheriff’s deputy responded to a residence on Hwy 183 N regarding a disturbance at that location.  The complainant claimed to have been hit by his brother; however, he did not wish to pursue any charges and parties were separated and a report was taken.

Tuesday, August 18

*A Brown County Sheriff’s deputy received a report of a stray steer, which has been on the complainant’s property for the last 2-3 weeks.  The steer was strayed.

Wednesday, August 19

*10:28 AM – Brownwood Police were called to the law enforcement center regarding terroristic threat.  According to the report, a known suspect has been threatening the complainant.

*11:28 AM – A Brown County Sheriff’s deputy was dispatched to CR 183 in reference to criminal mischief.  According to the report, the victim stated that an unknown person caused damage to the carport attached to his house.

*3:07 PM – Brownwood Police met with a complainant at the law enforcement center regarding the forgery of a financial instrument.  According to the report, an unknown subject has been cashing fraudulent checks on the complainant’s account.

*10:39 PM – A Brown County Sheriff’s deputy was dispatched to a residence in the 600 block of  Avenue F in Blanket, TX regarding an assault involving a firearm. Upon the deputy’s arrival, the victim stated that a known suspect entered his home, without permission or provocation, and put a gun in his stomach and stated to the victim, “I don’t need fist.”  The victim said he began fighting with the suspect and the suspect fled the scene in a white Dodge truck, the report states. The victim said he knows the suspect, but had not talked to him in about a month, according to the report.  The victim said he did not want to press charges or make a voluntary written statement, according to law enforcement.

*11:06 PM – Brownwood Police were called to the 700 block of Avenue D regarding a runaway juvenile male.

*Brown County Sheriff’s Office arrested 39-year-old Reyna Kay Griffith of Fort Worth on a surety withdrawal related to theft.

*Brownwood Police arrested 30-year-old Brand Nicole Tomme of Brownwood on a warrant related to failure to appear.
