Monday, August 18

*3:46 PM – Brownwood Police were called to the 200 block of 8th Street regarding an assault.  According to the report, the complainant advised that an employee that he had just terminated punched him in the face and left the scene.

*3:50 PM – Brownwood Police were called to Walmart regarding theft.  According to the report, this call led to the issuance of a citation for theft less than $50 to the female suspect.

Tuesday, August 19

*8:26 AM – Brownwood Police were called to the 1100 block of 8th Street regarding an unwanted person.  According to the report, when the officer made contact with the unwanted person, drug paraphernalia was located.  A trespass warning was issued to the subject, the report states.

*8:52 AM – Brownwood Police were dispatched to the area of Custer Road and Stephen F. Austin regarding the theft of a road closed sign which was on a wooden base.

*9:12 AM – Brownwood Police were called to the 2100 block of 9th Street regarding the unauthorized use of a motor vehicle.  According to the report, the owner stated his girlfriend had taken the vehicle without his permission.

*12:37 PM – Brownwood Police were called to the 3700 block of 2nd Street regarding an assault.  The complainant stated that his girlfriend’s ex had assaulted him, according to the report.

*2:58 PM – A Brownwood Police officer observed a male subject who was acting suspicious in the 700 block of W. Austin Avenue.  According to the report, after leaving the parking lot, several traffic violations were made by the driver and a traffic stop was initiated; however, the driver failed to stop for officers and a pursuit ensued through Brownwood and ending in the 2600 block of Elizabeth Drive where he pulled into the driveway of his own residence.  The driver was identified as 45-year-old Martin Fortson Duran of Brownwood.  Duran was ordered to exit the vehicle, which he did but failed to follow the officers’ commands to get on the ground, the report states.  Duran was taken to the ground by two officers and while he resisted, an officer used a stun drive to his abdomen and Duran was handcuffed, according to the officers’ report.  Duran’s vehicle was searched, which resulted in the location of 9 Clonazepam pills in a pill bottle with the label removed and containers of alcohol, the report states.  Duran was transported to Brownwood Regional Medical center emergency room for evaluation and a blood sample.  X-rays showed that he had no internal damage from the incident and Duran was then transported to the Brown County Jail.  Duran was charged with possession of a controlled substance penalty group 3 less than 28 grams, driving while intoxicated 2nd, resisting arrest and evading arrest/detention with vehicle.

*9:18 PM – A Brown County Sheriff’s deputy was dispatched to a residence on County Road 138 in Bangs regarding an assault.  The complainant stated he was attacked by his adopted son.  Attempts were made to locate the son without success.

*9:27 PM – Brownwood Police made a traffic stop in the 1000 block of Trigg Street.  According to the report, the stop led to the seizure of methamphetamine from a passenger in the vehicle.  27-year-old Enrique Abraham Pesina of Brownwood was charged with manufacture/delivery of a controlled substance equal or greater than 1 gram less than 4 grams.

*10:01 PM – Brownwood Police were called to the 600 block of Crothers Street regarding theft.  According to the report, someone had stolen the complainant’s payroll check out of his vehicle.

*Brown County Sheriff’s Office received a report of a possible forgery.  According to the report, the complainant stated that he believed his step-son had altered the amount of one check from the complainant’s mother’s account and acquired a second check, which he passed in the amount of $5500 in June of 2014.  The complainant’s mother is experiencing declining health and difficulties with her mental state and may not be fully aware of what took place with the two checks in question, according to the report.

*Brownwood Police arrested 48-year-old James Ray Medcalf for public intoxication.

*Brown County Sheriff’s Office arrested 39-year-old Lucy Ann Ogden of Brownwood for interfere with public duty, resist arrest search or transport, a surety withdrawal related to criminal trespass and on a warrant related to failure to appear/possession of a controlled substance penalty group 3 less than 28 grams.

*Bangs Police arrested 22-year-old Richard Lyle Sanchez of Abilene on warrants related to driving while license invalid and failure to appear.

*Brown County Sheriff’s Office arrested 19-year-old Laramie Nicole Seat of Zephyr on a warrant related to theft of property equal or greater than $20 less than $500 by check.

*Brown County Sheriff’s Office arrested 30-year-old Tristan Miles Tomme of Brownwood on a warrant related to motion to revoke driving while intoxicated.

Wednesday, August 20

*12:30 AM – An Early Police officer and a Brown County Sheriff’s sergeant and deputy were dispatched 3M Company in Brownwood regarding to an unwanted person.  According to the report, dispatch advised that an employee of 3M, identified as Justin Tally Waldrip, was causing a scene in the building and 3M staff was requesting his removal.   Waldrip was located and found to be intoxicated in a public place and was unable to call for a ride, the report states.  In order to prevent Waldrip from becoming dangerous to himself or others he was placed under arrest for public intoxication, according to the report.

*Brownwood Police arrested 44-year-old Burton Edward Bailey of Fort Worth for criminal trespass.

*Early Police arrested 23-year-old Nakita Brittly Franklin on a Travis County warrant related to assault causes bodily injury family violence.

*Brown County Sheriff’s Office arrested 49-year-old Maria Delores Robledo of Early for theft of property equal or greater than $20 less than $500 by check.

*Early Police arrested 31-year-old Mario A White of Early on a Dallas County warrant related to possession of marijuana less than 2 ounces.
