Sunday, July 25

*At 11:07am, Brown County Sheriff’s Office was dispatched to CR 138 in reference to criminal mischief.  The complainant told the deputy that she had bought some bales of hay from a subject in front of Tractor Supply.  According to the report, the subject allowed the complainant to take the trailer full of hay to her home to unload after paying in advance.   When the complainant unloaded the hay, it was 41 bales short of what she purchased the report states.  When the complainant contacted the subject, he stated he would bring the 41 bales that she was shorted.  When complainant called BCSO to report the shortage she saw the subject hook up to the trailer and start driving to the roadway the report states.  The gate to the property was unlocked and according to the report, the subject had cut the fence to gain access to his trailer.  When she confronted the subject, he drove off while she was talking to him the report states.  The complainant wishes to pursue criminal charges.

Monday, July 26

*At 12:30pm, Brownwood Police responded to the 1600 block of Avenue E regarding a report of harassment.

*At 1:56pm, Brownwood Police were dispatched to the 1000 block of W. Commerce regarding a civil matter.  Upon arrival, officers conducted an interview and investigation which led to a trespass warning being issued to one subject for a residence in the 1500 block of Indian Creek according to the report.

Wednesday, July 28

*Brown County Sheriff’s Office was dispatched to a local business on S Hwy 377 to meet with the owner who requested a criminal trespass warning issued to a former employee that was recently fired. According to the report, since the former employee was fired, she and several of her employees have been receiving harassing text messages and letters.  The criminal trespass warning was issued to the former employee for the owner’s address.

Friday, July 30

*Texas Department of Public Safety arrested 17-year-old Zachary Mikell Fulton of Early for Possession of Marijuana.

*At 6:30pm, Brownwood Police conducted a traffic stop.  The assisting officer was informed that the driver, 25-year-old Melvin Lewis, had warrants out of Brown County for his arrest.  According to the report, Lewis ran from police and later was located and arrested for the warrants and Evading Arrest/Detention.

*At 11:29pm, Brownwood Police were called to the 1600 block of Borden regarding a domestic disturbance.  After a short investigation, a male subject identified as 59-year-old Dale Rex Meyers of Early was arrested for public intoxication the report states.

Saturday, July 31

*Brownwood Police arrested 33-year-old Alfred Beeman of Midland for Assault with Injury Family Violence.

*Texas Department of Public Safety arrested 17-year-old Tanner Wade Vaughan of Early for Possession of Marijuana <2oz.

*Brown County Sheriff’s Office received a report of harassment.  The victim stated that he has been receiving several calls from a subject threatening to kill him.  A suspect has been named, but as of the date of the report, no arrest has been made.

*At 1:30am, Brownwood Police responded to the 100 block of Sharp Street in reference to a disturbance.  According to the report, two subjects were injured as they tried to break up a fight between other people.  The report states that the suspect fled the scene prior to the officer’s arrival.

*At 1:36am a Brownwood Police officer checked a suspicious vehicle in a parking lot in the 300 block of E. Commerce.  According to police reports, the vehicle fled the scene and was pursued south on FM2525 where the vehicle was eventually stopped and the driver, identified as 25-year-old Jason Chance Anderson, was arrested. He was charged with Evading Arrest with Vehicle, DWI 2nd, and Driving While License Invalid.

*At 10:33am, Brownwood Police responded to the 300 block of Pecos regarding criminal mischief.

*At 10:55am, Brownwood Police were called to the 2600 block of Cleburne regarding the burglary of a vehicle.

*At 2:33pm, Brownwood Police were dispatched to the 1300 block of Avenue E regarding a found wallet.  According to the report, the owner could not be contacted and the wallet was entered into the property room at BPD as found property.

*Early Police Sgt Shawn Dibrell was at a local gas station Saturday night when he observed an individual sitting in his car at the fuel pumps counting a large amount of cash. Sgt Dibrell was working in a plain clothes capacity and started a conversation with the individual. The conversation turned to drugs and the individual in the vehicle agreed to meet Sgt Dibrell in 45 minutes with $300 of meth. Before the individual left, Sgt Dibrell noticed an open beer can in the seat that he was drinking; Sgt Dibrell also noticed a handgun hanging from a small shoulder holster under the individual’s shirt. Dibrell the immediately drew his weapon and made the individual stay still as Dibrell called for assistance. Officer Steven Means arrived within moments and the individual was secured on the ground and the weapon was removed. Officers also found a 2ndhandgun just under the seat where he was sitting. One on the guns serial number was ground off and currently unidentifiable. Officers the located a small amount of methamphetamine and a meth pipe on the individual’s person. The individual, 23-year-old Leopoldo Jimenez Jr. of San Saba was arrested and taken to the Brown Co jail on 2 charges of Unlawful carrying of a weapon, Possession of a controlled substance and Tampering with identification numbers

Sunday, August 1

*Brownwood Police arrested 22-year-old Terrence Wayne Harper of Converse for Possession of Marijuana <=2oz in a Drug Free Zone.

*Brown County Sheriff’s Office arrested 28-year-old Marcial Martinez of Hico for Assault Causing Bodily Injury Family Violence.

*Texas Department of Public Safety Troopers arrested 18-year-old Richard Chase Reeves for Possession of a Controlled Substance, Penalty Group 3, <28 grams (steroids); and Possession of Marijuana <2oz.

*Brown County Sheriff’s Department arrested 17-year-old Jacob Winston Womack for Injury to a Child, Assault Family Violence.

*At 7:30am, Brownwood Police were called to the 1800 block of Avenue H regarding credit cards that were found in the road.  Contact was made with the owner according to the report.

*At 5:23pm, Brownwood Police were called to the 1700 block of Vincent regarding a verbal altercation.  One subject was issued a criminal trespass warning the report states.

*At 9:14pm, Brownwood Police were dispatched to 1500 block of Terrace regarding a burglary.  After an investigation, it was determined that an unknown person entered the residence and a purse and knife were found to be missing according to the report.

Monday, August 2

*At 12:15am, Brownwood Police conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle for a defective right tail lamp.  During investigation, a search of the vehicle was conducted which revealed a controlled substance the report states.  The driver, identified as 26-year-old Jose Dario Guerrero-Tovar of Comanche, was arrested for Possession of a Controlled Substance, Penalty Grade 1, less than 1 gram in a Drug Free Zone.

*Officer Steven Means and Officer Shawn Dibrell of the Early Police Department responded to a burglary of a residence in the 200 block of Cresent Dr in Early. The complainant stated that he had been out walking, and when he was returning home he observed a black Ford Ranger backing out of his driveway. The complainant recognized the vehicle as belonging to a Stephanie Percival, a female that he was an acquaintance with.  When he went into the house the complainant found that his wallet had been stolen from a counter. The wallet contained approximately $200 cash and some credit cards. The complainant called the suspect Percival at the request of Sgt Dibrell and asks her if she took the wallet. Percival stated she did take the wallet and threw it out on the highway because she was mad because the complainant was not at home when she got there. Sgt Dibrell and Officer Means located Percival and brought her in for questioning at which time she admitted to going into the house through a window and taking his wallet. Percival was arrested and taken to the Brown Co Jail for Burglary of a Habitation.

All arrestees are innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
