Law Enforcement arrests and reports released Thursday, August 19, 2010.
Tuesday, August 17
*Emergency responders were called to the Lake Brownwood State Park swimming area regarding a man who had collapsed in the water. Emergency crews performed CPR, but were unable to revive the man. Law enforcement officers are investigating the case to determine whether the cause of death was drowning or some other condition.
Wednesday, August 18
*Brownwood Police responded to a call at the Food Plaza in the 2800 block of 4th Street. The report indicated that two male subjects were asking customers for money. The officer’s investigation led to the arrest of Randy Wayne Badger, 59, for Criminal Trespass.
*3:55pm – Law enforcement and emergency EMS responded to the One Source Clinic in the 200 block of Hwy 183. Reports indicated that a vehicle hit the side of the building. The driver of the vehicle reported having chest pains as EMS arrived. Authorities did not release the identity or current condition of the driver. No other injuries were reported.
*10:50pm – Brownwood Police responded to a call in the 3200 block of Stephen F. Austin regarding an assault. The victim told police that he had been assaulted by two males while walking to his residence. Police recorded the victim’s injuries and are investigating the incident.
*11:55pm- Brownwood Police responded to Brownwood Regional Medical Center regarding a dog bite. The victim said that he was trying to break up a dog fight between his neighbors’ dogs. The victim was bitten in the forearm, but didn’t want to file a report. The dog that bit him was reported to be current on its vaccinations.
Thursday, August 19
*Brownwood Police arrested 30-year-old Mary Elizabeth Reid of Brownwood for Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.
All arrestees are innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
