Tuesday, August 18

*7:03 AM – Brownwood Police were called to the 2300 block of 16th Street regarding criminal mischief.  According to the report, an unknown suspect broke the windshield of the complainant’s vehicle.  An investigation is ongoing, the report states.

*7:44 AM – Brownwood Police were dispatched to the 1200 block of Avenue B regarding criminal mischief greater than $500 less than $1500.  According to the report, an unknown subject damaged the right rear door of the complainant’s rental vehicle.  An investigation is ongoing, the report states.

*9:03 AM – Brownwood Police were called to the 2200 block of Vine Street regarding an assault that had occurred the previous evening.  According to the report, the complainant had been assaulted by a known suspect who was no longer on scene.  An investigation is ongoing, the report states.

*10:04 AM – Brownwood Police responded to a home on Stone Creek Circle regarding theft.  According to the report, a concrete statue was stolen from the complainant’s yard and a bird bath was knocked over during the theft.

*5:50 PM – Brownwood Police responded to the report of an intoxicated person at a business in the 300 block of E. Commerce.  According to the report, as a result of this call, 36-year-old Destiny Holder of Robinson was arrested for public intoxication.

*8:02 PM – Brownwood Police were called to the 1500 block of Indian Creek Drive, behind the fire station, regarding an unresponsive person in a running vehicle.  According to the report, fire crews were able to get the male subject, identified as 23-year-old Charles Abdnor of Brownwood, to respond and he was subsequently arrested for possession of a controlled substance penalty group 2-A equal or less than 2 ounces and public intoxication.

*8:25 PM – Brownwood Police were dispatched to the 1500 block of 2nd Street regarding stalking.  The incident was documented and the suspect is known, the report states.

*8:31 PM – Brownwood Police were called to the 2700 block of Deer Crossing regarding theft.  According to the report, the complainant stated that numerous copper colored solar lights were stolen from her yard between August 17 and 18.  An investigation is ongoing, the report states.

*10:12 PM – Brownwood Police were called to the area of Belle Plain and Main Street, to a vehicle storage business, regarding suspicious activity.  According to the report, 48-year-old Peter Walter Recknagel of Brownwood was found passed out behind the wheel of a vehicle.  This call led to the arrest of Recknagel for public intoxication.

*The Brownwood City Marshal arrested Kameron Brownwood on a warrant related to expired driver’s license.

*Brown County Sheriff’s Office arrested 34-year-old Coiley T-Shane Burns of Brownwood on a warrant related to a surety withdrawal/possession of a controlled substance in a drug free zone.  Burns was being held in the Brown County Jail in lieu of $10,000 bond as of Wednesday morning.

Wednesday, August 19

*1:06 AM – Brownwood Police responded to a residence on 2nd Street regarding juveniles using drugs.  According to the report, this call led to one of the juveniles being arrested for possession of marijuana over 2 ounces.  The juvenile was transported to the juvenile justice center, the report states.

*2:28 AM – Brownwood Police were dispatched to the 1600 block of Avenue I and the 1000 block of 11th Street regarding a prowler.  According to the report, a suspect was breaking windows and beating on doors with a baseball bat.  As a result of this call, Eustaquio Almazan Gonzales, Jr. of Brownwood was arrested and charged with possession of a controlled substance penalty group 2-A equal or less than 2 ounces, public intoxication, criminal mischief A, and resist arrest/detention/transport.
