Thursday, August 14

*10:31 AM – Brownwood Police were called to the 1400 block of Main Blvd. regarding theft.  According to the report, the investigation is ongoing.

Monday, August 18

*1:30 PM – Brownwood Police were dispatched to the 1500 block of 7th Street regarding an unwanted person.  According to the report, after an investigation, 60-year-old James Reynolds of Bangs was arrested for possession of a controlled substance penalty group 1 less than 1 gram.

*1:46 PM – Brownwood Police responded to the 1900 block of Main Blvd. regarding harassment.

*7:43 PM – Brownwood Police were called to the 300 block of N. Main Street regarding a citizens’ dispute.  According to the report, dispatch advised the officer that it was reported that a black male had threatened a white male in the store, stating that he was going to “beat him up once they walked outside the store.”  The caller indicated that the black male was also carrying a knife, the report states.  Upon arrival, the responding officer had to physically take the knife from the male, identified as 59-year-old Albert Duffie of Temple, who was then placed under arrest for public intoxication, according to the report.

*9:53 PM- Brownwood Police made a traffic stop in the area of Austin Avenue and Avenue C after an officer observed 18-year-old Blayne Scott Craig of Brownwood operating a vehicle in the 1200 block of Austin Avenue.  According to the report, the officer knew Craig had an invalid driver’s license and conducted the traffic stop for the violation.  Upon approaching the vehicle, the officer observed a juvenile passenger in the vehicle, the report states.  Dispatch advised that the juvenile had a protective order against Craig which was issued on August 5th by Judge Wall and was to last for 31 days, according to the officer’s report.  Craig was placed under arrest for the violation of the protective order, the report states.

*11:43 PM – Brownwood Police made a traffic stop in the 400 block of N. Main Street for a traffic violation.  According to the report, the driver 32-year-old Joe Wayne Bastardo of Brownwood was found to have a suspended driver’s license.   Bastardo was arrested for driving while license invalid with a previous conviction.

*Brown County Sheriff’s Office arrested 38-year-old Troy Lee Covington of Brownwood on a Fort Worth Police Department warrant related to aggravated assault causing serious bodily injury.  Covington was being held in lieu of $25,000 bond as of Tuesday morning.

*Brown County Sheriff’s Office arrested 55-year-old Tony Randall Holmes of Brownwood on a warrant related to theft of property equal or greater than $20 less than $500 by check.

*Brown County Sheriff’s Office arrested 21-year-old Shaquille Rashaud Johnson of Midland on a warrant related to motion to adjudicate/possession of marijuana.

*Brown County Sheriff’s Office arrested 37-year-old Brandi Tennell Ketcherside of San Angelo on warrants related to motion to revoke/possession of a controlled substance penalty group 1 and motion to revoke/possession of a controlled substance.

*Brown County Sheriff’s Office arrested 21-year-old Clyde Frank Morgan III on a warrant related to possession delivery of drug paraphernalia.

*Brown County Sheriff’s Office arrested 60-yaer-old John Cody Vian of Brownwood on warrants related to aggravated assault with a deadly weapon and failure to appear/forgery.  Vian is being held in the Brown County Jail in lieu of $50,000.

*Brown County Sheriff’s Office arrested 42-year-old Dwayne Scott Walker of Anna, Texas on a warrant related to motion to revoke/driving while intoxicated with child passenger.

Tuesday, August 19

*2:58 AM – A Brownwood Police officer attempted to make a pedestrian stop on two males for a pedestrian violation in the area of Cordell and W. Austin Avenue.   According to the report, both males fled on foot from the officer.  One of the males, identified as 19-year-old Hunter Shae Blankenship of Brownwood, was apprehended and transported to the Brown County Jail, the report states.  The second male was unable to be located; however, he was identified during the investigation.
