Law enforcement arrests and reports released August 19, 2011.

Wednesday, August 17

* 10:47am – Brown County Sheriff’s Office responded to a report of a burglary of a habitation on County Road 134.  A television, speaker, and shotgun were reported stolen.  An investigation is continuing.  

Thursday, August 18

*9:04am-A Brownwood Police officer conducted a pedestrian stop on a subject in the area of 4th Street and Avenue I.  During the stop, the pedestrian, identified as 44-year-old Donald Douglas Nichols, Jr., was found to be in possession of Marijuana.  Nichols was arrested for Possession of Marijuana less than 2 oz.

*1:03pm-Brownwood Police were dispatched to the 900 block of Crothers regarding a hit and run accident.  The complainant stated his vehicle had been hit by an unknown vehicle about four days ago.

*6:21pm-Brownwood Police were called to 401 W. Commerce regarding theft.  Dispatch advised officers that a female was detained at the business.  The female was released at the scene and a warrant will be issued.

*6:52pm-Brownwood Police responded to an assault in the 300 block of Bluffview Drive.  The complainant advised that he was slapped in the face then kicked in the side by a female neighbor.

*6:55pm-Brownwood Police made traffic stop in the 700 block of Avenue C.  Further investigation showed the driver, identified as 33-year-old Joshua McBride, to have no insurance with surcharge due and no driver’s license with surcharge due, according to reports.  McBride was arrested for Driving While License Invalid.

*9:38pm-Borwnwood Police were called to the 2300 block of Belle Plain regarding an assault.  The complainant stated a female was at his residence and that she had been assaulted.

*10:44pm-Brownwood Police conducted a traffic stop in the 1500 block of Magnolia.  The driver, identified as 27-year-old Arwana Stalworth, consented to a search of the vehicle, according to reports.  Pills believed to be hydrocodone and a plastic bottle of leafy green substance believed to be marijuana was found in the console of the vehicle, according to police.  Stalworth was arrested for Possession of a Controlled Substance Penalty Grade 1 less than 1g in a Drug Free Zone and Possession of Marijuana less than 2 oz. in a Drug Free Zone.

* Early Police arrested 22-year-old Orlando Eleazar Guevara for Assault Family Violence/ Impede Breath.

Friday, August 19

*2:10am-Brownwood Police Officer made a pedestrian stop in the 2200 block of 4th Street.  Two juveniles were arrested for probation violations and found to be in possession of stolen property.  The owner was located and the property returned.  The two juveniles were additionally charged with Burglary of a Vehicle.

*Brown County Sheriff’s Office arrested 59-year-old Kenneth Ray Hayes of Mullin for Driving While Intoxicated.
