Wednesday, August 14
*1:29 PM – Brownwood Police received a report of an incident of theft at Wal-Mart. According to the report, a complainant stated that her purse was taken from a basket.
Thursday, August 15
*4:24 AM – Brownwood Police made a traffic stop in the 1300 block of 1st Street after observing a vehicle driving left of center. As a result of the stop, the driver identified as 21-year-old Christopher Noel Rendon was arrested for driving while intoxicated.
*10:11 AM – Brownwood Police received a report of theft in the 400 block of N. Greenleaf. According to the report, the complainant stated that sometime during the last two months, someone stole his lawnmower and that it is currently at a local pawn shop. A suspect was identified and the incident is being investigated, the report states.
*2:08 PM – Brownwood Police were dispatched to the 1900 block of Brooke Lane regarding the burglary of a vehicle. The complainant stated that his iPhone was stolen from the vehicle during the incident, according to the report.
*3:51 PM – Brownwood Police were called to the 5400 block of CR 257 regarding fraud. According to the report, the complainant reported the forgery of a check that he had written to his housekeeper.
*10:26 PM – Brownwood Police were dispatched to the 4300 block of Brookdale Drive regarding the burglary of a vehicle. According to the report, the incident occurred sometime between 9:00 p.m. on August 14th and 8:30 a.m. on August 15th.
*10:50 PM – A Brownwood Police officer on patrol, noticed a suspicious vehicle in the 2200 block of Main Blvd. and made contact with the driver, identified as 47-year-old Jacky Carter. According to the report, the obvious smell of marijuana was noted. An investigation found a quantity of marijuana and Carter was arrested, charged with possession of marijuana less than 2 ounces.
*Brown County Sheriff’s Office arrested 29-year-old Ryan Michael Schwab for possession of a controlled substance penalty group 1 less than 1 gram and assault causes bodily injury family violence.
*Early Police arrested 27-year-old Desiree Stamper of Coleman on three warrants related to expired motor vehicle registration, expired motor vehicle inspection and failure to appear.
*The Brownwood City Marshal arrested 17-year-old Kyle Matthew Vogel of Bangs on three warrants for his arrest related to expired registration, expired motor vehicle inspection and violate driver’s license restriction.
*Brown County Sheriff’s Office arrested 48-year-old Clifford Leon Young on a bench warrant.
Friday, August 16
*3:14 AM – Brownwood Police were called to the 2800 block of Southside Drive regarding a citizens’ dispute. According to the report, two males and two females were fighting. This call led to the arrest of one female, identified as 26-year-old Kimberly Vaughn, and one male, identified as 22-year-old Robert Emerson. Vaughn and Emerson were each charged with public intoxication.
*Brown County Sheriff’s Office arrested 38-year-old Johnny Burtron Herrerra, Jr. on warrants related to failure to appear and F/T show Proof SRA.
