Friday, August 12
*3:38 AM – Brownwood Police met with a complainant at the law enforcement center regarding the theft of a chain saw and an arborist’s saw from a local business.
*12:25 PM – Brownwood Police observed a suspicious vehicle in the parking lot of a local church. As the officer went to check on the vehicle, it was driven from the parking lot. According to the report, the officer observed an open door on a storage building, thinking the building may have been broken into, the officer located and made a traffic stop on the vehicle in the area of Center Avenue and Carnegie Street. During the stop, the officer noticed an open alcohol container in the center console, the report states. This stop led to the arrest of the driver and the passenger for possession of marijuana less than 2 ounces and possession of a controlled substance in a drug free zone.
*4:43 PM – Brownwood Police and Early Police conducted a narcotics investigation on a residence on Durham Avenue where distribution of narcotics was suspected. According to the report, the investigation led to the discovery of items that indicated the occupants of the residence were involved in illegal drugs. A quantity of illegal drugs was seized during the investigation and one person was arrested, the report states. The investigation is ongoing and more arrests are anticipated, according to police.
*9:27 PM – A Brown County Sheriff’s deputy was dispatched to the intersection of Hwy 377 S and FM 1467 regarding found property. According to the report, a complainant had located a 4-foot aluminum tool box and moved it to the bar ditch of the roadway.*The Brownwood City Marshal arrested 22-year-old Jeffery Wayne Allen of Brownwood on two warrants related to public intoxication.
*20-year-old Payton Dean Anderson of Brownwood turned himself in on a warrant related to possession of a controlled substance penalty group 1 less than 1 gram.
*Brownwood Police arrested 31-year-old Alex Arellano, Jr. of Brownwood for possession of marijuana less than 2 grams.
*Brown County Sheriff’s Office arrested 48-year-old Allen Leon Dudley of Brownwood on warrants related to violate promise to appear/bail jumping and fail to appear and failure to maintain financial responsibility.
*Brown County Sheriff’s Office arrested 23-year-old Mobey Cordell Lewis of Bangs on a warrant related to failure to appear/possession of a controlled substance with intent to deliver in a drug free zone. Lewis was being held in the Brown County Jail in lieu of $75,000 bond as of Monday morning.
*Brownwood Police arrested 21-year-old Sheldon Thomas Libey of Brownwood for possession of marijuana less than 2 ounces.
Saturday, August 13
*8:03 AM – A Brown County Sheriff’s deputy met with a complainant who stated someone had stolen multiple firearms from his residence overnight. According to the report, a suspect has been named and an investigation is ongoing.
*10:20 AM – Brownwood Police were called to the 1200 block of Willis Street regarding trespassing. According to the report, this call led to the arrest of 31-year-old Jimmy Wayne Sellers for assault of a public servant, evading arrest/detention, and criminal trespass. Sellers was being held in the Brown County Jail in lieu of bonds totaling $35,000 as of Monday morning.
*11:15 AM – Brownwood Police were called to the 3400 block of 4th Street regarding the theft of the exterior central air conditioning unit, valued at approximately $5,000. According to the report, subjects had removed the wires and cut the hoses to retrieve the unit. A possible suspect was named and the investigation is ongoing, the report states.
*12:13 PM – Brownwood Police were dispatched to the 1700 block of Southgate Drive regarding the burglary of a vehicle. According to the report, a rifle was stolen from the vehicle during the burglary.
*12:51 PM – Brownwood Police were called to the 1100 block of Santa Clara Drive regarding disorderly conduct.
*1:08 PM – Brownwood Police were dispatched to the 1000 block of LaMonte Drive regarding the burglary of a vehicle. According to the report, electronic equipment was taken from a locked vehicle during the afternoon hours.
*2:56 PM – Brownwood Police were called to the 4600 block of 9th Street regarding the burglary of a vehicle.
*3:36 PM – Brownwood Police were dispatched to the 4600 block of 9th Street regarding the burglary of a vehicle. According to the report, a few hand tools, a pocket knife, cigarettes and a lighter were stolen from the vehicle.
*7:21 PM – A Brown County Sheriff’s deputy was dispatched to Abilene Street regarding a possible suicide attempt. According to the report, an investigation determined there was no suicide attempt but that a male, identified as 20-year-old Jeffery Shane Hamill, Jr. of Brownwood, had threatened to shoot a member of the family. Hamill was subsequently arrested and charged with terroristic threat against family/household.
*Brown county Sheriff’s Office arrested 44-year-old Dwayne Uterral Hardeman of Brownwood on a warrant related to assault impede breath family violence.
*Brownwood Police arrested 56-year-old Dana Gail Kimble of Brownwood on a Midland County warrant related to a surety withdrawal for assault causes bodily injury family violence.
*Brownwood Police arrested 23-year-old Tylor Jay Syler of Brownwood on an Upton County warrant related to failure to appear/possession of marijuana
Sunday, August 14
*12:57 AM – Brownwood Police made a traffic stop in the 1500 block of Coggin Avenue regarding the driver having trouble maintaining a lane and failure to stop at the designated point at a stop sign at the intersection of Coggin Avenue and 3rd Street. As a result of this stop, the driver, identified as 22-year-old Nigel Xavien Deas of Killeen, Texas, was arrested for driving while intoxicated.
*1:18 AM – Brownwood Police made a traffic stop in the 1300 block of Austin Avenue regarding speeding, 71 mph in a 40 mph speed zone. According to the report, this stop led to the arrest of the driver, identified as 38-year-old Francisco “Frank” Ibarra of Brownwood for driving while intoxicated.
*8:55 AM – Brownwood Police were dispatched to the 4500 block of 4th Street regarding the burglary of a vehicle. According to the report, a firearm was stolen from the vehicle.
*7:26 PM – Brownwood Police were called to the 700 block of 3rd Street regarding the burglary of a building. According to the report, miscellaneous knives, a meat cleaver and a back pack were stolen from the building. A suspect has been identified, the report states.
*9:21 PM – A Brown County Sheriff’s deputy met with a complainant at the law enforcement center regarding an assault. According to the report, the complainant stated she had been assaulted by known male at his house in Zephyr.
*Bangs Police arrested 54-year-old Martha Jane Horn of Brownwood on a warrant related to assault causes bodily injury.
*Brown County Sheriff’s Office arrested 19-year-old Javan Wilson of Brownwood on a warrant related to the burglary of a building.
Monday, August 15
*2:09 AM – Brownwood Police made a pedestrian stop in the 4400 block of Delwood Drive while they were patrolling the area after the burglary of multiple vehicles. Officers noted three juveniles walking in the area who were interviewed and admitted to burglarizing more than ten vehicles in the area this date, the report states. The juveniles were charged with burglary of a vehicle and engaging in organized criminal activity, according to the report.
*Brownwood Police arrested 34-year-old Jessica Rose Walton of Brownwood on an Eastland County warrant related to theft.
