Law Enforcement arrests and reports released Friday, August 13, 2010.
Wednesday, August 11
*At 12:03pm, Brownwood Police were called to the 1400 block of Avenue C regarding a call of harassment. The officer made contact with the complainant who showed text messages and two voicemails that the officer observed to be evidence to support criminal charges according to the report.
Thursday, August 12
*A Brownwood Police officer conducted a routine traffic stop on a vehicle. The driver was identified as 30-year-old Michael Dwayne Smith. After conducting the initial traffic stop, the officer conducted a consensual search of the vehicle in which a baggie of marijuana was discovered the police report states. Smith was arrested for Possession of Marijuana <2oz.
*At 6:04pm, Brownwood Police were dispatched to the 1000 block of LaMonte regarding a domestic disturbance. After an investigation of the alleged offense, 22-year-old Ashley Lin Nicole Pittman was arrested for Child Endangerment and Assault with Injury Family Violence.
*At 6:51pm Brownwood Police were called to the 1500 block of Terrace regarding a dispute between neighbors over a small puppy. According to the report, the complainant explained that a female neighbor of his had been given a dog by another male. While the woman left the puppy in the complainant’s care, she went to tend to some matters. During this time, according to the complainant, the male that gave the puppy to the female told the complainant that the he could either keep the puppy or give it back to the woman when she returned. The woman returned and entered the complainant’s yard aggressively demanding the dog be returned the report states. After the complainant refused, the woman struck the man across his elbow with her cordless phone, causing a small wound. The complainant wishes to pursue charges.
*At 8:41pm, a Brownwood Police officer stopped 24-year-old David Alonzo Cade after it was determined that he had an outstanding felony warrant for his arrest. The warrant was confirmed and then Cade was arrested and taken to the Brown County Jail. During an inventory of Cade’s vehicle, an assisting officer discovered hydrocodone tablets and Tylenol 3 with codeine which was prescribed to another subject. Cade was given two additional charges of Possession of a Controlled Subject, Penalty Grade 3, in a Drug Free Zone.
*At 10:00pm, A Brownwood Police officer observed a subject in the 500 block of Main Street and at the request of another resident at the apartment complex a trespass warning was issued to the subject.
Friday, August 13
*At 1:46am, Brownwood Police were called to the 1000 block of W. Commerce regarding a report of disorderly conduct. Subsequently, 59-year-old Dale Rex Myers was arrested for Public Intoxication.
All arrestees are innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
