LECSmBrownwood Police were called to the 1700 block of Durham Avenue regarding the burglary of a vehicle late Sunday night.   According to the report, around 9:00 PM, an alert neighbor was outside and noticed a male subject in a neighbor’s vehicle.  The complainant was able to give a description of the male, the report states.

The officer made contact with the owner of the vehicle who advised that nothing was missing; however he did wish to pursue charges.  Officers were able to locate a male subject matching the description of the suspect given by the witness.  Officers conducted an investigation and after the subject was identified by numerous witnesses, 19-year-old Forrest Tyler Lee Brown was arrested for burglary of a vehicle.

Multiple other reports of burglaries of vehicles were made over the weekend.  No other arrests were made in these cases according to police.

Friday, August 9

*9:33 AM – Brownwood Police responded to a report by telephone of the burglary of a vehicle that occurred on August 3rd.  According to the report, the complainant stated that a laptop computer was stolen from the interior of his vehicle at Wal-Mart.

*12:45 PM – Brownwood Police were dispatched to Wal-Mart regarding a hit and run accident. According to the report, police learned that two vehicles had backed into one another and following the accident, one of the vehicles left the scene.

*2:53 PM – Brownwood Police were called to the 2800 block of Southside Drive regarding a domestic disturbance.  According to the report, after a brief investigation, the incident was settled by separation of the parties.

*5:34 PM – Brownwood Police were dispatched to the 3600 block of Longhorn Lane regarding theft.  According to the report, over $400 worth of tools were stolen from a building on the complainant’s property.  There were no suspects identified at the time of the report.

*6:55 PM – Brownwood Police were dispatched to a residence on Bailey Street regarding a runaway.

*34-year-old Chris Aguirre turned himself in on a warrant for theft of property equal or greater than $50 and less than $1500.

*Brown County Sheriff’s Office arrested 20-year-old Chance Keytan Clark of Midland for possession of a controlled substance penalty group 1 less than 1 gram in a drug free zone.

*Brown County Sheriff’s Office arrested 19-year-old Zachary Delarosa of Early on warrants related to motion to adjudicate/marijuana less than 2 ounces and absence/community correction facility.

*Brown County Sheriff’s Office arrested 31-year-old Michael Paul Forbess for assault causes bodily injury family violence/2+ within 12 months and on warrants related to possession of marijuana, assault causes bodily injury family violence, knowingly display altered license plate, possession of a controlled substance penalty group 1 and unlawful possession of a firearm.

*Brown County Sheriff’s Office arrested 20-year-old Krystal Hampton of Midland for manufacture delivery of a controlled substance penalty group 1 less than 1 gram.

*Brownwood Police arrested 53-year-old Phillip Sidney Harling on a parole violation.

*The Brownwood City Marshal arrested 17-year-old Tyler Scott Torrez on warrants related to theft and possession of alcohol.

Saturday, August 10

*2:39 AM – Brownwood Police responded to the report of the burglary of a vehicle.  According to the report, the complainant stated that sometime between the hours of 12:15 p.m. and 6:30 p.m. this date, an unknown subject entered her vehicle without consent and stole her wallet.  There were no suspects at the time of the report.

*8:27 AM – Brownwood Police were called to the 2400 block of 13th Street regarding the theft of a motor vehicle.  According to the report, the vehicle was stolen from the driveway of the residence.

*10:39 AM – Brownwood Police received a report of a burglary of a vehicle via telephone call.  According to the report, the complainant stated that her vehicle had been burglarized while parked at her residence.

*11:04 AM – Brownwood Police were dispatched to the 2400 block of Cleburne Street regarding the theft of property.  According to the report, the complainant stated that sometime in the last week, an unknown suspect stole two metal pipes and several bags full of aluminum cans.

*3:47 PM – Brownwood Police were dispatched to the 1500 block of Davis Lane regarding a domestic disturbance which had occurred shortly before 12:00 p.m.  According to police, the complainant and her boyfriend had broken up and when his mother attempted to return a carpet cleaner back to the female, an argument occurred.  The complainant stated that while she was unloading the carpet cleaner from the pickup, the vehicle rolled backward and the tire struck her upper leg, the officer reported.  The boyfriend’s mother allegedly drove off without rendering aid, the report states.  The incident is pending further investigation.

*4:50 PM – Brownwood Police were dispatched to Wal-Mart regarding theft.  According to the report, the loss prevention department advised the officer that they had detained 31-year-old Heather Gale Dominguez for stealing $379.22 worth of merchandise.  Dominguez was arrested for theft and criminal trespass along with outstanding warrants related to theft and failure to appear.

*6:41 PM – Brownwood Police were dispatched to the 3700 block of Golding Road regarding the burglary of a vehicle.  According to the report, an unknown subject entered the complainant’s vehicle and stole several items between the hours of 10:00 a.m. and 1:00 p.m.

*8:23 PM – Brownwood Police were called to Wal-Mart regarding theft.  According to the report, two male subjects were detained by store loss prevention employees after they left the store without paying for two 30-packs of beer.  Both subjects were issued citations for theft less than $50.

*8:40 PM – Brownwood Police were called to the 1500 block of 2nd Street regarding a domestic disturbance, resulting in a report being made for assault family violence.

*9:43 PM – Brownwood Police received a report of a runaway.  According to the report, the mother reported her 14-year-old daughter had left the residence and refused to return.

*Brownwood Police arrested 32-year-old Justin Daniell of Early on four warrants related to the burglary of a vehicle, one related to the burglary of a habitation and one on credit card or debit card abuse.  Daniell is being held in the Brown County Jail on bonds totaling $96,000.

*Texas Department of Public Safety arrested 26-year-old Michael Aaron McFarland on a McCullough County warrant related to theft of property equal or greater than $1500 less than 20,000.

Sunday, August 11

*4:56 AM – Brownwood Police were called to the 3500 block of Rhodes Road regarding a black male slashing tires on multiple vehicles.  After an investigation was conducted, a suspect later identified as 34-year-old Sherrod Smith was located and arrested for criminal mischief equal or greater than $50 less than $500.

*7:06 AM – Brownwood Police responded to the 100 block of Bowie Circle regarding the burglary of a habitation.

*3:10 PM – Brownwood Police were called to the 1700 block of Main Blvd. regarding the burglary of a habitation.  According to the report, the complainant stated that cash had been stolen from the residence.

*3:23 PM – Brownwood Police responded to the 1900 block of Avenue D regarding the burglary of a habitation.  According to the report, the complainant stated that several power tools were stolen during the incident.

*6:25 PM – Brownwood Police were dispatched to the 400 block of E. Commerce regarding a male subject walking down the middle of the roadway, appearing to be lost.  Emergency communications received three calls regarding the same male subject and after a short investigation by officers, 50-year-old Harold Lance Collins was arrested for public intoxication, the report states.

*7:33 PM – Brownwood Police were called to Wal-Mart regarding theft.  Citations were issued to both an adult and a juvenile suspect for theft under $50.

*Brown County Sheriff’s Office arrested 44-year-old Angela Dawn Baca for assault causes bodily injury family violence.

*Brown County Sheriff’s Office arrested 23-year-old Andrew James Yacek of Abilene for possession of a controlled substance penalty group 2-A equal or greater than 2 ounces.

Monday, August 12

*3:45 AM – Brownwood Police were dispatched to the 2900 block of 4th Street regarding a domestic disturbance which led to a report made for assault causes bodily injury family violence.

*Brown County Sheriff’s Office arrested 28-year-old Martin Joseph Mata on a Tom Green County warrant for possession of marijuana less than 2 ounces.
