Monday, August 11
*9:18 AM – Brownwood Police were called to the 500 block of Main Street regarding theft. According to the report, the cell phone was stolen from the complainant’s residence and was valued at $400. The complainant wished to pursue criminal charges if a suspect can be identified, the report states.
*11:38 AM – Brownwood Police were dispatched to the 4400 block of Mimosa Street regarding theft. According to the report, the complainant advised that someone had stolen his weed eater and his daughter’s bicycle.
*6:32 PM – A Brown County Sheriff’s deputy responded to a convenience store on Hwy 183 North for a report of theft. According to the report, the complainant stated that a suspect had stolen three cigarettes, valued at $3.24. A license plate for the suspect’s vehicle was provided, and the suspect was identified and located by the deputy. A trespass warning for the store along with a citation for theft was issued to the suspect.
*7:20 PM – Brownwood Police were called to the 600 block of Penn Street regarding a domestic disturbance. According to the report, the responding officer located a female who was lying on the street and complaining that her arm hurt. The female also stated that a male had hit her with the pickup he was driving, the report states.
*42-year-old Ruben Cadena of Brownwood turned himself in on warrants related to theft of property greater than $20 less than $500 by check enhanced (Scurry County) and theft of services greater than $20 less than $500 (Taylor County).*Brownwood Police arrested 28-year-old Jeremy Lee Ortega of Brownwood on a warrant related to theft of property equal or greater than $50 less than $500.
*Brown County Sheriff’s Office arrested 48-year-old Charles Simpson of Burtram on a warrant related to driving while intoxicated 3rd or more.
*Brown County Sheriff’s Office arrested 25-year-old Malcolm Jamal Walls of Brownwood was arrested on warrants related to burglary of a habitation intend other felony, burglary of a habitation and on a surety withdrawal related to theft of services equal or greater than $500 less than $1500. Walls is being held in lieu of bonds totaling $125,000.
*Brown County Sheriff’s Office arrested 24-year-old Mickey Ray Warren of Brownwood on a warrant related to four counts of forgery.

*Brown County Sheriff’s Office arrested 22-year-old Inarei Araly Pesina of Early for theft of property equal or greater than $50 less than $500.
