Law Enforcement arrests and reports released Wednesday, August 11, 2010.

Saturday, August 7

*At 1:31pm, a Brown County Sheriff’s Deputy responded to a burglary on CR 470.  Upon arrival, the owner of the property reported that the back door of the trailer house had been forced open, and someone had placed mattress outside and stole an older model refrigerated window unit that was mounted on the wall.  No suspect was known and no arrest had been made at the time of the report.

Sunday, August 8

*A Brown County Sheriff’s Deputy responded to a report of criminal mischief at the intersection of CR 563 and CR 461.  At an unknown time overnight, the advertising sign for “The Beach” was spray painted with graffiti.  The sign is valued at $250.

Monday, August 9

*Brown County Sheriff’s Office received a report of theft of checks, forgery of checks, theft of property, unauthorized use of a motor vehicle and false report to a law enforcement officer from a victim that came to the BCSO.  Suspect information was obtained and the investigation is ongoing.

*At 4:06pm, a Brownwood Police officer was dispatched to the 1200 block of Center in reference to stolen street signs, from Crothers and Hendricks.  Two signs were recovered and returned to the city.

*11:40am, Officers were called to the 1700 block of Avenue D to Assist Guardian EMS with a possible suicidal subject.

*At 11:45am, Brown County Sheriff’s Office was dispatched to Emerald Dr. in reference to several acts of criminal mischief.  According to the report, the complainants stated that they have been out of state and upon returning found their bird bath to be missing.

*At 7:59pm, Brownwood Police were dispatched to the 800 block of 3rd Street in reference to a burglary.  According to the report, the building had been burglarized and approximately 40 donut trays had been stolen.  The complainant did name a possible suspect and wished to pursue charges.

Tuesday, August 10

*At 9:37am, a woman reported to the Brownwood Police Department the burglary of her vehicle in the 4400 block of US 377.  A cashier’s check along with an affidavit was stolen from the vehicle according to the report.

*At 3:15pm, Brownwood Police spoke with a complainant in reference to theft.  Her dash mount GPS unit had been stolen.  According to the report, the complainant remembers seeing the GPS on her kitchen table while two subjects were visiting as guests and, during the visit she noted the GPS was missing.

*At 4:53pm, a Brownwood Police officer placed 25-year-old Matias Buitron under arrest at his residence for an outstanding warrant.  The officer located a small amount of marijuana as well as a marijuana pipe while searching him upon his arrest.  Buitron was also charged with Possession of Marijuana <2 oz and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.

*At 8:07pm, Brownwood Police responded to the 1100 block of Magnolia in reference to a weapons violation.  After an investigation, it was determined that two juveniles shot a moving vehicle with a BB gun.

All arrestees are innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
