Tuesday, August 7

*8:45am-Brownwood Police were dispatched to a work area where some tools and copper wiring was reported to be stolen.   According to the report, 6 hoists valued at $300 each, a CB radio valued at $100, and a small amount of copper wire (its value was undetermined), were allegedly taken from a work truck overnight.

Wednesday, August 8

*12:51am-Brown County Sheriff’s Deputy responded to a domestic disturbance at a residence located on Circle P Heights near Lake Brownwood.  According to the report, a female victim stated that she was struck on the arm by her boyfriend, identified as Randall Baker when she slid a candy dish across the table at him.  Baker was arrested for Assault with Injury Family Violence.

* 8:48pm-Brownwood Police were called to the 2800 block of Southside Drive regarding public intoxication.   The officer located the suspect, identified as 42-year-old Guadalupe Soriano in the 1700 block of Magnolia Street and determined that Soriano was intoxicated, police reports state.  Soriano was arrested for Public Intoxication and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.

*9:42am-Brown County Sheriff’s Office was dispatched to the Brookesmith Post Office in reference to attempted theft.  According to the report, a subject attempted to steal a window air conditioning unit from the post office but was unsuccessful, resulting in the window and window frame being damaged.

Thursday, August 9

*9:35am-Brownwood Police were dispatched to the intersection of Avenue J and Durham Street regarding a found bicycle.   According to the report, the bicycle was abandoned on the sidewalk and had been at the location for approximately 2 weeks.

*1:36pm-Brownwood Police were called to the 4400 block of US Hwy 377S regarding a missing person.  According to the report, the complainant stated that her 42-year-old female friend had not been seen since August 4th and that she was concerned about her well being.  The missing female’s phone was turned off and she had not been to work in several days, the report states.

*8:17pm-Brownwood Police were dispatched to the 1500 block of Terrace Drive regarding found property.  A bicycle was recovered and placed into the bike impound at Brownwood Police Department, the report states.

*9:07pm-Brownwood Police were called to the 2000 block of Austin Avenue, Coggin Park, regarding disorderly conduct.  According to the report, several male subjects who have known each other for several years were involved in a scuffle, which allegedly started when a 19-year-old threw a soccer ball at an 11-year-old’s bicycle.  The suspect was reported to have put the younger boy in a choke hold, but did not restrict his airway, the report states.  The 11-year-old’s 15-year-old brother then pulled the suspect off his brother and threw the suspect on the ground until the other subjects separated the two, according to the report.  The incident resulted in the suspect being issued one criminal trespass warning for a witness’s residence and a verbal warning not to return to the victim’s residence.

*9:18pm-A Brown County Sheriff’s deputy was traveling on Hwy 183N when he stopped a vehicle for speeding.  According to the report, the driver and sole occupant of the vehicle was identified as 18-year-old Victor Ray Gonzales of Clyde, and consent was given to search his vehicle for narcotics.  On the passenger-side floorboard of the vehicle in a small gym bag, a blue glass marijuana pipe was found with unburnt marijuana, ready to be smoked, the report states.  Gonzales was placed under arrest for Possession of Marijuana less than 2 ounces.

*9:59pm-A Brownwood Police officer was flagged down as he was patrolling in the 1700 block of 2nd Street.  According to the report, the complainant reported theft which had occurred at a residence in the 1300 block of Avenue J.  A chest of drawers was taken from underneath the complainant’s carport, the report states.

*Brown County Sheriff’s Office arrested 29-year-old Lonny Eugene Robbins III for Failure to Identify Fugitive and for an outstanding Brown County warrant.

Friday, August 10

*Texas Department of Public Safety arrested 30-year-old John Anthony Gowin for Driving while Intoxicated 3rd or More.
